¹乃巴特的兒子雅洛貝罕王十八年，阿彼雅登極作猶大王，	¹Now in the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, Abiam reigned over Juda.
²在耶路撒冷作王三年；他母親名叫瑪阿加，是阿貝沙隆的外孫女。	²He reigned three years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Maacha the daughter of Abessalom.
³阿彼雅行了他父親在他以前所行的一切邪惡；他的心對上主他的天主，不像他祖父達味的那樣誠實。	³And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.
⁴但是，上主他的天主，為了達味的緣故，仍使他在耶路撒冷，有一盞燈，立他的兒子接他的位，並保全耶路撒冷，	⁴But for David's sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
⁵因為達味除了赫特人烏黎雅那件事以外，常行了上主視為正義的事，一生歲月從未違背上主所吩咐他的一切。	⁵Because David had done that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from any thing that he commanded him, all the days of his life, except the matter of Urias the Hethite.
⁶【勒哈貝罕與雅洛貝罕之間不斷發生戰事。】	⁶But there was war between Roboam and Jeroboam all the time of his life.
⁷阿彼雅其餘的事蹟，他的一切作為，都記載在《猶大列王實錄》上。阿彼雅與雅洛貝罕之間，常發生戰事。	⁷And the rest of the words of Abiam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? And there was war between Abiam and Jeroboam.
⁸阿彼雅與列祖同眠，葬在達味城；他的兒子阿撒繼位為王。	⁸And Abiam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
⁹以色列王雅洛貝罕二十年，阿撒登極作猶大王，	⁹So in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, reigned Asa king of Juda,
¹⁰在耶路撒冷作王四十一年；他的祖母名叫瑪阿加，是阿貝沙隆的外孫女。	¹⁰And he reigned one and forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Maacha, the daughter of Abessalom.
¹¹阿撒行了上主視為正直的事，像他的祖父達味一樣。	¹¹And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as did David his father:
¹²他將為神賣淫的男女由國內除掉，撤去了他祖先所立的一切偶像，	¹²And he took away the effeminate out of the land, and he removed all the filth of the idols, which his fathers had made.
¹³並廢除了他祖母瑪阿加作太后的權位，因為她給阿舍辣立了可憎惡的柱像；阿撒把她所立的像砍倒，在克德龍谷焚毀。	¹³Moreover he also removed his mother Maacha, from being the princess in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in the grove which she had consecrated to him: and he destroyed her den, and broke in pieces the filthy idol, and burnt it by the torrent Cedron:
¹⁴只有丘壇沒有廢除；不過阿撒的心一生全屬上主。	¹⁴But the high places he did not take away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days:
¹⁵阿撒將他父親所獻的，和他自己所獻的金銀和器皿，都送入上主的殿內。	¹⁵And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and he had vowed, into the house of the Lord, silver and gold, and vessels.
¹⁶阿撒與以色列王巴厄沙之間不斷發生戰爭。	¹⁶And there was war between Asa, and Baasa king of Israel all their days.
¹⁷以色列王巴厄沙上來進攻猶大，並在辣瑪修築工事，防止人民同猶大王阿撒來往。	¹⁷And Baasa king of Israel went up against Juda, and built Rama, that no man might go out or come in, of the side of Asa king of Juda.
¹⁸那時，阿撒將上主殿內和王宮內寶庫中所剩餘的金銀取出，交給他的臣僕，打發他們去見住在大馬士革的阿蘭王，赫則雍的孫子，塔貝黎孟的兒子本哈達得說：	¹⁸Then Asa took all the silver and gold that remained in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king's house, and delivered it into the hands of his servants: and sent them to Benadad son of Tabremon the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:
¹⁹「我與你之間，我父親與你父親之間都立過約；現在我給你送來金銀作為禮品，請你廢除你與以色列王巴厄沙所立的約，使他遠離我！」	¹⁹There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: therefore I have sent thee presents of silver and gold: and I desire thee to come, and break thy league with Baasa king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
²⁰本哈達得聽了阿撒王的話，即刻派自己的軍長去攻打以色列的城市，攻下了依雍、丹、阿貝耳貝特瑪阿加、基乃勒特全境和納斐塔里全境。	²⁰Benadad hearkening to king Asa, sent the captains of his army against the cities of Israel, and they smote Ahion, and Dan, and Abeldomum Maacha, and all Cenneroth, that is all the land of Nephtali.
²¹巴厄沙一聽說這事，就停止在辣瑪的工事，回到了提爾匝。	²¹And when Baasa had heard this, he left off building Rama, and returned into Thersa.
²²於是阿撒王召集全猶大人民，一個也不例外，吩咐他們將巴厄沙修築辣瑪所用的石頭和木料運走；阿撒王用來修建本雅明的革巴和米茲帕。	²²But king Asa sent word into all Juda, saying: Let no man be excused: and they took away the stones from Rama, and the timber thereof wherewith Baasa had been building, and with them Asa built Gabaa of Benjamin, and Maspha.
²³阿撒其餘的事蹟，關於他的一切偉業和作為，並建造的城防，都記載在《猶大列王實錄》上。他年老時，患了足疾。	²³But the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his strength, and all that he did and the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
²⁴阿撒與列祖同眠，與列祖同葬在他祖父達味城內；他的兒子約沙法特繼位為王。	²⁴And he slept with his fathers, and was buried with them in the city of David his father. And Josaphat his son reigned in his place.
²⁵猶大王阿撒二年，雅洛貝罕的兒子納達布登極作以色列王。他二年作以色列王，	²⁵But Nadab the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel the second year of Asa king of Juda: and he reigned over Israel two years.
²⁶行了上主視為惡的事，走了他父親的路，犯了他父親使以色列陷於罪惡的罪。	²⁶And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father, and in his sins, wherewith he made Israel to sin.
²⁷依撒加爾家族，阿希雅的兒子巴厄沙結黨背叛了他，在屬於培肋舍特人的基貝通將他殺死，那時納達布和全以色列人正在圍攻基貝通。	²⁷And Baasa the son of Ahias of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and slew him in Gebbethon, which is a city of the Philistines: for Nadab and all Israel besieged Gebbethon.
²⁸猶大王阿撒三年，巴厄沙殺了納達布，篡了他的王位。	²⁸So Baasa slew him in the third year of Asa king of Juda, and reigned in his place.
²⁹他登極後，立即殺了雅洛貝罕全家；凡屬雅洛貝罕家中的人，沒有留下一個，都殺絕了：這正應驗了上主藉他僕人史羅人阿希雅所說的話。	²⁹And when he was king he cut off all the house of Jeroboam: he left not so much as one soul of his seed, till he had utterly destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken in the hand of Ahias the Silonite:
³⁰這是因為雅洛貝罕自己犯的罪和他使以色列犯的罪，激怒了上主，以色列的天主。	³⁰Because of the sin of Jeroboam, which he had sinned, and wherewith he had made Israel to sin, and for the offence, wherewith he provoked the Lord the God of Israel.
³¹納達布其餘的事蹟，他的一切作為，都記載在《以色列列王實錄》上。	³¹But the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
³²【阿撒與以色列王巴厄沙之間常發生戰事。】	³²And there was war between Asa and Baasa the king of Israel all their days.
³³猶大王阿撒三年，阿希雅的兒子巴厄沙在提爾匝登極，作全以色列王，在位凡二十四年。	³³In the third year of Asa king of Juda, Baasa the son of Ahias reigned over all Israel, in Thersa, four and twenty years.
³⁴他行了上主視為惡的事，走了雅洛貝罕所走的路，犯了使以色列陷於罪惡的罪。	³⁴And he did evil before the Lord, and walked in the ways of Jeroboam, and in his sins, wherewith he made Israel to sin.
