¹撒羅滿為上主的殿所作的一切工作完成了以後，遂將他父親達味所奉獻的禮品，金銀和所有的器具運上來，存放在天主殿宇的府庫裏。	¹Then Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had vowed, the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he put among the treasures of the house of God.
²那時，撒羅滿召集以色列的長老，各支派的首領和以色列子民各家族長，到耶路撒冷，將上主的約櫃從達味城，即熙雍運上來。	²And after this he gathered together the ancients of Israel, and all the princes of the tribes, and the heads of the families, of the children of Israel to Jerusalem, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Sion.
³以色列人於是在七月的節日，都聚集到君王那裏。	³And all the men of Israel came to the king in the solemn day of the seventh month.
⁴以色列所有的長老一來到，肋未人便抬起約櫃，	⁴And when all the ancients of Israel were come, the Levites took up the ark,
⁵將約櫃和會幕，以及會幕內所有的聖器都抬上來；抬運的都是司祭和肋未人。	⁵And brought it in, together with all the furniture of the tabernacle. And the priests with the Levites carried the vessels of the sanctuary, which were in the tabernacle.
⁶撒羅滿王和聚集在他那裏的以色列全會眾，在約櫃前宰殺了牛羊，多得無法計算，不可勝數。	⁶And king Solomon and all the assembly of Israel, and all that were gathered together before the ark, sacrificed rams, and oxen without number: so great was the multitude of the victims.
⁷司祭們將上主的約櫃抬到殿的內部，即至聖所內，放在革魯賓的翅膀下，那早已預備的地方。	⁷And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, that is, to the oracle of the temple, into the holy of holies under the wings of the cherubims:
⁸革魯賓伸開翅膀遮在約櫃的所在之上，所以革魯賓在上面正遮着約櫃和抬櫃的槓桿。	⁸So that the cherubims spread their wings over the place, in which the ark was set, and covered the ark itself and its staves.
⁹這槓桿很長，槓頭從內殿前的聖所裏可以看見，在殿外卻看不見；直到今天還在那裏。	⁹Now the ends of the staves wherewith the ark was carried, because they were some thing longer, were seen before the oracle: but if a man were a little outward, he could not see them. So the ark has been there unto this day.
¹⁰約櫃內除了兩塊石版，沒有別的東西：這是以色列子民出埃及後，上主與他們立約時，梅瑟在曷勒布山放在裏面的。	¹⁰And there was nothing else in the ark but the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb when the Lord gave the law to the children of Israel, at their coming out of Egypt.
¹¹當司祭從聖所出來時，──因為所有在場的司祭都自潔過，未分班次，	¹¹Now when the priests were come out of the sanctuary, (for all the priests that could be found there, mere sanctified: and as yet at that time the courses and orders of the ministries were not divided among them,)
¹²全體歌唱的肋未人，阿撒夫、赫曼、耶杜通，和他們的兒子以及他們同族的弟兄，一律穿着細麻的衣服，站在祭壇的東面，擊鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴；同在他們一起的，尚有一百二十位司祭吹號筒，──	¹²Both the Levites and the singing men, that is, both they that were under Asaph, and they that were under Heman, and they that were under Idithun, with their sons, and their brethren, clothed with fine linen, sounded with cymbals, and psalteries, and harps, standing on the east side of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests, sounding with trumpets.
¹³吹號筒的和歌唱的人都同聲同調讚美上主。當他們配合號筒、鐃鈸和各種樂器，高聲讚美上主說：「因為他是聖善的，因為他的仁慈永遠常存」時，雲彩充滿了聖殿，即上主的殿，	¹³So when they all sounded together, both with trumpets, and voice, and cymbals, and organs, and with divers kind of musical instruments, and lifted up their voice on high: the sound was heard afar off, so that when they began to praise the Lord, and to say: Give glory to the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever: the house of God was filled with a cloud.
¹⁴致使司祭由於雲彩不能繼續奉職，因為上主的光榮充滿了天主的殿。	¹⁴Nor could the priests stand and minister by reason of the cloud. For the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
