¹勒瑪里雅的兒子培卡黑十七年，約堂的兒子阿哈次登極為猶大王。	¹In the seventeenth year of Phacee the son of Romelia reigned Achaz the son of Joatham king of Juda.
²他登極時年二十歲，在耶路撒冷作王十六年。他沒有像他祖先達味一樣，行了上主他的天主視為正義的事，	²Achaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: he did not that which was pleasing in the sight of the Lord his God, as David his father.
³卻走了以色列列王的路，仿效上主從以色列子民面前趕走的異民的醜惡之事，令自己的兒女經火獻神，	³But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel: moreover he consecrated also his son, making him pass through the fire according to the idols of the nations: which the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.
⁴又在高處丘陵和綠樹下，焚香獻祭。	⁴He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places and on the hills, and under every green tree.
⁵那時，阿蘭王勒斤和以色列王勒瑪里雅的兒子培卡黑，前來進攻耶路撒冷，圍困阿哈次，卻不能取勝。	⁵Then Basin king of Syria, and Phacee son of Romelia king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to fight: and they besieged Achaz, but were not able to overcome him.
⁶就在這時，厄東王收回厄拉特重歸厄東，將猶大人從厄拉特趕走；厄東人進入厄拉特，住在那裏直到今日。	⁶At that time Rasin king of Syria restored Aila to Syria, and drove the men of Juda out of Aila: and the Edomites came into Aila, and dwelt there unto this day.
⁷阿哈次派使者去見亞述王提革拉特丕肋色爾說：「我是你的僕人，你的兒子，請你上來救我脫離阿蘭王和以色列王的手，因為他們來攻打我。」	⁷And Achaz sent messengers to Theglathphalasar king of the Assyrians, saying: I am thy servant, and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who are risen up together against me.
⁸阿哈次拿出上主殿內和王宮府庫內貯藏的金銀來，送給亞述王作禮品。	⁸And when he had gathered together the silver and gold that could be found in the house of the Lord, and in the king's treasures, he sent it for a present to the king of the Assyrians.
⁹亞述王遂聽從了他的要求，立即前去進攻大馬士革，佔領了那城，將那裏的居民擄往克爾，殺了勒斤。	⁹And he agreed to his desire: for the king of the Assyrians went up against Damascus, and laid it waste: and he carried away the inhabitants thereof to Cyrene, but Basin he slew.
¹⁰阿哈次王曾去大馬士革，會見亞述王提革拉特丕肋色爾，他看見了大馬士革的祭壇，就給司祭烏黎雅送去了那座祭壇的圖案模型，和詳盡的製造法。	¹⁰And king Achaz went to Damascus to meet Theglathphalasar king of the Assyrians, and when he had seen the altar of Damascus, king Achaz sent to Urias the priest a pattern of it, and its likeness according to all the work thereof.
¹¹烏黎雅司祭完全依照阿哈次王從大馬士革送來的祭壇式樣，建築了一座祭壇；烏黎雅司祭就在阿哈次王從大馬士革回來以前，完全照樣造好。	¹¹And Urias the priest built an altar according to all that king Achaz had commanded from Damascus, so did Urias the priest, until king Achaz came from Damascus.
¹²君王從大馬士革回來，看見那座祭壇，就近前上去，	¹²And when the king was come from Damascus, he saw the altar and worshipped it: and went up and offered holocausts, and his own sacrifice.
¹³奉獻了他的全燔祭和素祭，行了奠祭，將和平祭的血灑在祭壇上。	¹³And offered libations and poured the blood of the peace offerings, which he had offered upon the altar.
¹⁴然後，將上主面前的銅祭壇，從殿的前面，即從新祭壇和上主之殿的中間搬出來，放在新祭壇的北邊。	¹⁴But the altar of brass that was before the Lord, he removed from the face of the temple, and from the place of the altar, and from the place of the temple of the Lord: and he set it at the side of the altar toward the north.
¹⁵阿哈次王吩咐司祭烏黎雅說：「你應在這大祭壇上焚燒早晨的全燔祭，晚上的素祭，君王的全燔祭和素祭，地方上全體人民的全燔祭、素祭和奠祭；全燔祭的血和各種犧牲的血，你也應灑在這祭壇上；至於這銅祭壇，讓我再加考慮。」	¹⁵And king Achaz commanded Urias the priest saying: Upon the great altar offer the morning holocaust, and the evening sacrifice, and the king's holocaust, and his sacrifice, and the holocaust of the whole people of the land, and their sacrifices, and their libations: and all the blood of the holocaust, and all the blood of the victim thou shalt pour out upon it: but the altar of brass shall be ready at my pleasure.
¹⁶司祭烏黎雅就照阿哈次所吩咐的一切做了。	¹⁶So Urias the priest did according to all that king Achaz had commanded him.
¹⁷後來，阿哈次王又拆毀了盆座上的鑲板，挪去了座上的銅盆，將銅牛上的銅海搬下，放在石鋪的地上。	¹⁷And king Achaz took away the graven bases, and the laver that was upon them: and he took down the sea from the brazen oxen that held it up, and put it upon a pavement of stone.
¹⁸此外，為了亞述王的緣故，又拆除了在殿內建造的寶座，和君王從外面來到上主殿內的外門。	¹⁸The Musach also for the sabbath, which he had built in the temple: and the king's entry from without he turned into the temple of the Lord, because of the king of the Assyrians.
¹⁹阿哈次其餘的事蹟，他行的一切，都記載在《猶大列王實錄》上。	¹⁹Now the rest of the acts of Achaz, which he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?
²⁰阿哈次與祖先同眠，與祖先同葬在達味城；他的兒子希則克雅繼位為王。	²⁰And Achaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with them in the city of David, and Ezechias his son reigned in his stead.
