¹達味的最後遺言如下：葉瑟的兒子達味的神諭，至高者所舉揚的人，雅各伯的天主的受傅者，以色列的善歌詠者的神諭：	¹Now these are David's last words. David the son of Isai said: The man to whom it was appointed concerning the Christ of the God of Jacob, the excellent psalmist of Israel said:
²上主的神藉着我說話，他的話語在我唇舌上。	²The spirit of the Lord hath spoken by me and his word by my tongue.
³雅各伯的天主說過，以色列的磐石曾向我說：那以正義統治人的，那以敬畏天主之情統治人的，	³The God of Israel said to me, the strong one of Israel spoke, the ruler of men, the just ruler in the fear of God.
⁴有如日出時的晨光，無雲的黎明，雨後射在綠草地上的光輝。	⁴As the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, shineth in the morning without clouds, and as the grass springeth out of the earth by rain.
⁵的確，我的家必屹立在天主前，因為他與我結了永久的盟約，妥善而有保證的盟約，他豈能不給我產生救恩和喜樂？	⁵Neither is my house so great with God, that he should make with me an eternal covenant, firm in all things and assured. For he is all my salvation, and all my will: neither is there ought thereof that springeth not up.
⁶但匪徒敗類必像被拋棄荊棘，誰也不敢去用手拿；	⁶But transgressors shall all of them be plucked up as thorns: which are not taken away with hands.
⁷誰若去觸動，必先用刀或槍柄打伐，而後用火燒盡。	⁷And if a man will touch them, he must be armed with iron and with the staff of a lance: but they shall be set on fire and burnt to nothing.
⁸以下是達味勇將的名單：哈革摩尼人依市巴耳是三傑之首，他一次揮矛擊殺了八百人。	⁸These are the names of the valiant men of David. Jesbaham sitting in the chair was the wisest chief among the three, he was like the most tender little worm of the wood, who killed eight hundred men at one onset.
⁹其次為阿曷亞人多多的兒子厄肋阿匝爾，也是三傑之一。有一次他同達味在帕斯達明，當培肋舍特人正在那裏集合準備交戰時，以色列人退卻，	⁹After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three valiant men that were with David when they defied the Philistines, and they were there gathered together to battle.
¹⁰他卻固守陣地，擊殺培肋舍特人，直到他的手麻痺無力，貼在刀柄上。上主在那一天使他大獲勝利，民眾折回，在他身後專奪財物。	¹⁰And when the men of Israel were gone away, he stood and smote the Philistines till his hand was weary, and grew stiff with the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day: and the people that were fled away, returned to take spoils of them that were slain.
¹¹再其次是哈辣黎人厄拉的兒子沙瑪。那時，培肋舍特人在肋希集合；在那裏有一塊長滿扁豆的田地。當民眾由培肋舍特人面前逃走時，	¹¹And after him was Semma the son of Age of Arari. And the Philistines were gathered together in a troop: for there was a field full of lentils. And when the people were fled from the face of the Philistines,
¹²他獨自立在田間，保護了那塊田地，殺敗了培肋舍特人：如此上主又使他大獲勝利。	¹²He stood in the midst of the field, and defended it, and defeated the Philistines: and the Lord gave a great victory.
¹³在開始收割時，培肋舍特的軍隊在勒法因平原紮了營，三十勇士中，有三位下到阿杜藍山砦，來見達味。	¹³Moreover also before this the three who were princes among the thirty, went down and came to David in the harvest time into the cave of Odollam: and the camp of the Philistines was in the valley of the giants.
¹⁴達味恰在山砦內，而培肋舍特人當時在白冷駐防。	¹⁴And David was then in a hold. and there was a garrison of the Philistines then in Bethlehem.
¹⁵達味渴望着說：「誰能從白冷城門旁的井中，給我打一點水來喝？」	¹⁵And David longed, and said: O that some man would get me a drink of the water out of the cistern, that is in Bethlehem, by the gate.
¹⁶那三位勇士就衝過培肋舍特人的營幕，從白冷城門旁的井裏打了水，將水取來，帶到達味前，但他不肯喝，反而將水奠於上主前，	¹⁶And the three valiant men broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the cistern of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and brought it to David: but he would not drink, but offered it to the Lord,
¹⁷說：「上主決不許我做這事；我豈能喝那些冒生命危險者的血？」所以他不肯喝。這是這三位勇士所做的事。	¹⁷Saying: The Lord be merciful to me, that I may not do this: shall I drink the blood of these men that went, and the peril of their lives? therefore he would not drink. These things did these three mighty men.
¹⁸責魯雅的兒子，約阿布的兄弟，阿彼瑟是三十勇士的領袖，他揮舞長矛擊殺了三百人，因此，在三十勇士中出了名。	¹⁸Abisai also the brother of Joab, the son of Sarvia, was chief among three: and he lifted up his spear against three hundred whom he slew, and he was renowned among the three,
¹⁹他是三十勇士中最出名的，所以做了他們的領袖，但尚不及前三傑。	¹⁹And the noblest of three, and was their chief, but to the three first he attained not.
²⁰約雅達的兒子貝納雅原是卡貝責耳人，是一位英勇，大有作為的人。他擊殺了摩阿布人阿黎耳的兩個兒子，又在下雪天，下到旱井裏打死了一隻獅子。	²⁰And Banaias the son of Joiada a most valiant man, of great deeds, of Cabseel: he slew the two lions of Moab, and he went down, and slew a lion in the midst of a pit, in the time of snow.
²¹他也曾打死了一個埃及大漢。這埃及人手中拿着長矛，他只拿着一根棍子，就下去與他對抗，從那埃及人手裏把長矛奪過來，用那長矛將他殺死。	²¹He also slew an Egyptian, a man worthy to be a sight, having a spear in his hand: but he went down to him with a rod, and forced the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his own spear.
²²這是約雅達的兒子貝納雅做的事，因此，他在三十勇士中也出了名。	²²These things did Banaias the son of Joiada.
²³他比三十勇士更有名望，但尚不及前三傑。達味派他作侍衛長。	²³And he was renowned among the three valiant men, who were the most honourable among the thirty: but he attained riot to the first three: and David made him of his privy council.
²⁴約阿布的兄弟阿撒耳也是三十勇士中的一位，還有白冷人多多的兒子厄耳哈難，	²⁴Asael the brother of Joab was one of the thirty, Elehanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem.
²⁵哈洛得人沙瑪，哈洛得人厄里卡，	²⁵Semma of Harodi, Elica of Harodi,
²⁶帕耳提人赫肋茲，特科亞人依刻士的兒子依辣，	²⁶Heles of Phalti, Hira the son of Acces of Thecua,
²⁷阿納托特人阿彼厄則爾，胡沙人息貝開，	²⁷Abiezer of Anathoth, Mobonnai of Husati,
²⁸阿曷亞人匝耳孟，乃托法人瑪哈賴，	²⁸Selmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,
²⁹乃托法人巴阿納的兒子赫肋得，本雅明族基貝亞人黎拜的兒子依泰，	²⁹Heled the son of Baana, also a Netophathite, Ithai the son of Ribai of Gabaath of the children of Benjamin,
³⁰丕辣通人貝納雅，加阿士溪人希待，	³⁰Banaia the Pharathonite, Heddai of the torrent Gaas,
³¹貝特阿辣巴人阿彼巴耳，巴胡陵人阿次瑪委特，	³¹Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth of Beromi,
³²沙阿耳賓人厄里雅巴，基宗人雅笙，	³²Eliaba of Salaboni. The sons of Jassen, Jonathan,
³³哈辣黎人沙瑪的兒子約納堂，哈辣黎人沙辣爾的兒子阿希揚，	³³Semma of Orori, Aliam the son of Sarar the Arorite,
³⁴貝特瑪阿加人阿哈斯拜的兒子厄里培肋特，基羅人阿希托費耳的兒子厄里安，	³⁴Eliphelet the son of Aasbai the son of Machati, Eliam the son of Achitophel the Gelonite,
³⁵加爾默耳人赫茲賴，阿辣布人帕阿賴，	³⁵Hesrai of Carmel, Pharai of Arbi,
³⁶祚巴人納堂的兒子依加耳，加得人巴尼，	³⁶Igaal the son of Nathan of Soba, Bonni of Gadi,
³⁷阿孟人責肋克，貝厄洛特人納赫賴，他是責魯雅的兒子約阿布的持戟者；	³⁷Selec of Ammoni, Naharai the Berothite, armourbearer of Joab the son of Sarvia,
³⁸雅提爾人依辣，雅提爾人加勒布，	³⁸Ira the Jethrite, Gareb also a Jethrite;
³⁹赫特人烏黎雅：共計三十七人。	³⁹Urias the Hethite, thirty and seven in all.
