| 1五旬節日一到，眾人都聚集一處。 | 1And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place: |
| 2忽然，從天上來了一陣響聲，好像暴風颳來，充滿了他們所在的全座房屋。 | 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. |
| 3有些散開好像火的舌頭，停留在他們每人頭上， | 3And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them: |
| 4眾人都充滿了聖神，照聖神賜給他們的話，說起外方話來。 | 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak. |
| 5那時，居住在耶路撒冷的，有從天下各國來的虔誠的猶太人。 | 5Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. |
| 6這聲音一響，就聚來了許多人，都倉皇失措，因為人人都聽見他們說自己的方言。 | 6And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue. |
| 7他們驚訝奇怪地說：「看，這些說話的不都是加里肋亞人嗎？ | 7And they were all amazed, and wondered, saying: Behold, are not all these, that speak, Galileans? |
| 8怎麼我們每人聽見他們說我們出生地的方言呢？ | 8And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born? |
| 9我們中有帕提雅人、瑪待人、厄藍人和居住在美索不達米亞、猶太及卡帕多細雅、本都並亞細亞、 | 9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, |
| 10夫黎基雅和旁非里雅、埃及並靠近基勒乃的利比亞一帶的人，以及僑居的羅馬人、 | 10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, |
| 11猶太人和歸依猶太教的人、克里特人和阿剌伯人，怎麼我們都聽見他們用我們的話，講論天主的奇事呢？」 | 11Jews also, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians: we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God. |
| 12眾人都驚訝猶豫，彼此說：「這是什麼事？」 | 12And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this? |
| 13另有些人卻譏笑說：「他們喝醉了酒！」 | 13But others mocking, said: These men are full of new wine. |
| 14伯多祿就同十一位宗徒站起來，高聲向他們說：「猶太人和所有居住在耶路撒冷的人！請你們留意，側耳靜聽我的話！ | 14But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them: Ye men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and with your ears receive my words. |
| 15這些人並不像你們所設想的喝醉了，因為纔是白天第三時辰； | 15For these are not drunk, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day: |
| 16反而這是藉岳厄爾先知所預言的： | 16But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel: |
| 17『到末日──天主說──我要將我的神傾住在所有有血肉的人身上，你們的兒子和女兒都要說預言，青年人要見異像，老年人要看夢境。 | 17And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. |
| 18甚至在那些日子裏，連在我的僕人和我的婢女身上，我也要傾住我的神；他們要講預言。 | 18And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy. |
| 19我要在天上顯示奇蹟，在下地顯示徵兆：血、火和煙氣。 | 19And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke. |
| 20在上主的偉大和顯赫的日子來臨以前，太陽要變成昏暗，月亮要變成血紅。 | 20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord come. |
| 21將來，凡呼號上主名字的人，必然獲救。』 | 21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. |
| 22諸位以色列人！請聽這些話：納匝肋人耶穌是天主用德能、奇蹟和徵兆──即天主藉他在你們中所行的，一如你們所知道的──給你們證明了的人。 | 22Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him, in the midst of you, as you also know: |
| 23他照天主已定的計劃和預知，被交付了；你們藉着不法者的手，釘他在十字架上，殺死了他； | 23This same being delivered up, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you by the hands of wicked men have crucified and slain. |
| 24天主卻解除了他死亡的苦痛，使他復活了，因為他不能受死亡的控制， | 24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it. |
| 25因為達味指着他說：『我常將上主置於我眼前；我決不動搖，因他在我右邊。 | 25For David saith concerning him: I foresaw the Lord before my face: because he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved. |
| 26因此，我心歡樂，我的舌愉快，連我的肉身也要安息於希望中， | 26For this my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope. |
| 27因為你決不會將我的靈魂遺棄在陰府，也不會讓你的聖者見到腐朽。 | 27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. |
| 28你要將生命的道路指示給我，要在你面前用喜樂充滿我。』 | 28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. |
| 29諸位仁人弟兄！容我坦白對你們講論聖祖達味的事罷！他死了，也埋葬了，他的墳墓直到今天還在我們這裏。 | 29Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David; that he died, and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present day. |
| 30他既是先知，也知道天主曾以誓詞對他起了誓，要從他的子嗣中立一位來坐他的御座。 | 30Whereas therefore he was a prophet, and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne. |
| 31他既預見了，就論及默西亞的復活說：『他沒有被遺棄在陰府，他的肉身也沒有見到腐朽。』 | 31Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption. |
| 32這位耶穌，天主使他復活了，我們都是他的見證人。 | 32This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses. |
| 33他被舉揚到天主的右邊，由父領受了所恩許的聖神；你們現今所見所聞的，就是他所傾注的聖神。 | 33Being exalted therefore by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this which you see and hear. |
| 34達味本來沒有升到天上，但是他卻說：『上主對吾主說：你坐在我右邊， | 34For David ascended not into heaven; but he himself said: The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand, |
| 35等我使你的仇敵，變作你腳的踏板。』 | 35Until I make thy enemies thy footstool. |
| 36所以，以色列全家應確切知道：天主已把你們所釘死的這位耶穌，立為主，立為默西亞了。」 | 36Therefore let all the house of Israel know most certainly, that God hath made both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus, whom you have crucified. |
| 37他們一聽見這些話，就心中刺痛，遂向伯多祿和其他宗徒說：「諸位仁人弟兄！我們該作什麼？」 | 37Now when they had heard these things, they had compunction in their heart, and said to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles: What shall we do, men and brethren? |
| 38伯多祿便對他們說：「你們悔改罷！你們每人要以耶穌基督的名字受洗，好赦免你們的罪過，並領受聖神的恩惠。 | 38But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. |
| 39因為這恩許就是為了你們和你們的子女，以及一切遠方的人，因為都是我們的上主天主所召叫的。」 | 39For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call. |
| 40他還講了很多別的作證的話，並勸他們說：「你們應救自己脫離這邪惡的世代。」 | 40And with very many other words did he testify and exhort them, saying: Save yourselves from this perverse generation. |
| 41於是，凡接受他的話的人，都受了洗；在那一天約增添了三千 人。 | 41They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls. |
| 42他們專心聽取宗徒的訓誨，時常團聚，擘餅，祈禱。 | 42And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers. |
| 43因為宗徒顯了許多奇蹟異事，每人都懷着敬畏之情。 | 43And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all. |
| 44凡信了的人，常齊集一處，一切所有皆歸公用。 | 44And all they that believed, were together, and had all things common. |
| 45他們把產業和財物變賣，按照每人的需要分配。 | 45Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need. |
| 46每天都成群結隊地前往聖殿，也挨戶擘餅，懷着歡樂和誠實的心一起進食。 | 46And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart; |
| 47他們常讚頌天主，也獲得了全民眾的愛戴；上主天天使那些得救的人加入會眾。 | 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord increased daily together such as should be saved. |
