| 1肋未人司祭即全肋未支派，在以色列中沒有分子和產業，他們靠獻與上主的火祭祭品，和他們應得的一分維持生活。 | 1The priests and Levites, and all that are of the same tribe, shall have no part nor inheritance with the rest of Israel, because they shall eat the sacrifices of the Lord, and his oblations, |
| 2他在兄弟中間沒有產業；照上主向他所說的，上主自己要作他們的產業。 | 2And they shall receive nothing else. of the possession of their brethren: for the Lord himself is their inheritance, as he hath said to them. |
| 3這是司祭由人民應得的一份，就是宰殺牛羊作祭獻的人，應將前腿、兩腮和胃臟給司祭； | 3This shall be the priest's due from the people, and from them that offer victims: whether they sacrifice an ox, or a sheep, they shall give to the priest the shoulder and the breast: |
| 4初收的五穀、酒、油和初剪的羊毛，亦應給他， | 4The firstfruits also of corn, of wine, and of oil, and a part of the wool from the shearing of their sheep. |
| 5因為上主你的天主由各支派中揀選了他，叫他和他的子孫，時時以上主的名義服役供職。 | 5For the Lord thy God hath chosen him of all thy tribes, to stand and to minister to the name of the Lord, him and his sons for ever. |
| 6如果一個住在以色列境內任何城鎮的肋未人，離開了本地，一心一意地要到上主所選的地方去， | 6If a Levite go out of any one of the cities throughout all Israel, in which he dwelleth, and have a longing mind to come to the place which the Lord shall choose, |
| 7他可因上主的名義供職，如同在那裏侍立於上主面前的肋未弟兄們一樣， | 7He shall minister in the name of the Lord his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, that shall stand at that time before the Lord. |
| 8分享同樣的口糧，不必變賣祖產。 | 8He shall receive the same portion of food that the rest do: besides that which is due to him in his own city, by succession from his fathers. |
| 9幾時你進入了上主你的天主賜給你的土地，不要仿傚那些異民做可憎惡的事。 | 9When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God shall give thee, beware lest thou have a mind to imitate the abominations of those nations. |
| 10在你中間，不可容許人使自己的兒子或女兒經過火，也不可容許人占卜、算卦、行妖術或魔術； | 10Neither let there be found among you any one that shall expiate his son or daughter, making them to pass through the fire: or that consulteth soothsayers, or observeth dreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard, |
| 11或念咒、問鬼、算命和求問死者； | 11Nor charmer, nor any one that consulteth pythonic spirits, or fortune tellers, or that seeketh the truth from the dead. |
| 12因為凡做這些事的人，都是上主所憎惡的；其實就是為了這些可憎惡的事，上主你的天主纔把他們由你面前趕走。 | 12For the Lord abhorreth all these things, and for these abominations he will destroy them at thy coming. |
| 13你應一心一意屬於上主你的天主。 | 13Thou shalt be perfect, and without spot before the Lord thy God. |
| 14你要趕走的這些民族，聽信了算卦和占卜的人；但上主你的天主為你卻不是這樣安排； | 14These nations, whose land thou shalt possess, hearken to soothsayers and diviners: but thou art otherwise instructed by the Lord thy God. |
| 15上主你的天主，要由你中間，由你兄弟中，為你興起一位像我一樣的先知，你們應聽信他。 | 15The Lord thy God will raise up to thee a PROPHET of thy nation and of thy brethren like unto me: him thou shalt hear: |
| 16正如你在曷勒布集會之日，求上主你的天主說：『惟願我再不聽見上主我的天主的聲音，再不看見這烈火，免得我死亡。』 | 16As thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the assembly was gathered together, and saidst: Let me not hear any more the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see any more this exceeding great fire, lest I die. |
| 17上主遂對我說：『他們說得有理， | 17And the Lord said to me: They have spoken all things well. |
| 18我要由他們的兄弟中，給他們興起一位像你一樣的先知，我要將我的話放在他口中，他要向他們講述我所吩咐他的一切。 | 18I will raise them up a prophet out of the midst of their brethren like to thee: and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. |
| 19若有人不聽信他因我的名所說的話，我要親自同他算帳。 | 19And he that will not hear his words, which he shall speak in my name, I will be the revenger. |
| 20但是，若一位先知擅敢因我的名說我沒有吩咐他說的話，或因其他神的名說話，這位先知應該處死。』 | 20But the prophet, who being corrupted with pride, shall speak in my name things that I did not command him to say, or in the name of strange gods, shall be slain. |
| 21也許你心裏想：『我們怎能知道上主未曾說過這話？』 | 21And if in silent thought thou answer: How shall I know the word that the Lord hath not spoken? |
| 22幾時一位先知因上主之名說話，若他的話不實現，不應驗，這話就不是上主說的，是先知擅自說的，你不用怕他。 | 22Thou shalt have this sign: Whatsoever that same prophet foretelleth in the name of the Lord, and it cometh not to pass: that thing the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath forged it by the pride of his mind: and therefore thou shalt not fear him. |
