| 1你若實在聽從上主你的天主的話，謹守遵行我今天吩咐你的這一切誡命，上主你的天主必使你遠超過地上所有的民族。 | 1Now if thou wilt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to do and keep all his commandments, which I command thee this day, the Lord thy God will make thee higher than all the nations that are on the earth. |
| 2如果你聽從上主你的天主的話，下面這些祝福必臨於你，來到你身上。 | 2And all these blessings shall come upon thee and overtake thee: yet so if thou hear his precepts, |
| 3你在城內必蒙受祝福，在鄉下也必蒙受祝福。 | 3Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed in the field. |
| 4你身所生的，田地所產的，牲畜所出的，牛所生殖的，羊所產下的，都要蒙受祝福。 | 4Blessed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the droves of thy herds, and the folds of thy sheep. |
| 5你的筐籃，你的揉麵盆，都要蒙受祝福。 | 5Blessed shall be thy barns and blessed thy stores. |
| 6你進來，蒙受祝福；你出去，也蒙受祝福。 | 6Blessed shalt thou be coming in and going out. |
| 7起來攻擊你的仇敵，上主必使他們在你面前崩潰；他們由一路來攻擊你，卻分七路由你面前逃去。 | 7The Lord shall cause thy enemies, that rise up against thee, to fall down before thy face: one way shall they come out against thee, and seven ways shall they flee before thee. |
| 8上主決定對你的倉廩和在你着手進行的事上祝福你；在上主你的天主賜給你的土地上，必要祝福你。 | 8The Lord will send forth a blessing upon thy storehouses, and upon all the works of thy hands: and will bless thee in the land that thou shalt receive. |
| 9只要你謹守上主你的天主的誡命，遵行他的道路，上主必要照他誓許於你的，立你為他自己的聖民； | 9The Lord will raise thee up to be a holy people to himself, as he swore to thee: if thou keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. |
| 10普世萬民一見你屬於上主的名下，必都怕你。 | 10And all the people of the earth shall see that the name of the Lord is invocated upon thee, and they shall fear thee. |
| 11在上主你的天主向你祖先起誓要賜給你的土地上，上主必使你滿享幸福：兒女眾多，牲畜繁殖，地產豐富。 | 11The Lord will make thee abound with all goods, with the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy cattle, with the fruit of thy land, which the Lord swore to thy fathers that he would give thee. |
| 12上主必為你大開天上的寶庫，給你的田地降下時雨，祝福你手所做的一切；你要借給許多民族，而你卻無須向人借貸。 | 12The Lord will open his excellent treasure, the heaven, that it may give rain in due season: and he will bless all the works of thy hands. And thou shalt lend to many nations, and shalt not borrow of any one. |
| 13上主必立你為首，而不做尾巴，你常是高高在上，而總不屈居在下，只要你聽從我今天吩咐上主你的天主的誡命，並謹守遵行， | 13And the Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail: and thou shalt be always above, and not beneath: yet so if thou wilt hear the commandments of the Lord thy God which I command thee this day, and keep and do them, |
| 14不左右偏離我今天吩咐你們的一切話，去跟隨事奉其他的神。 | 14And turn not away from them neither to the right hand, nor to the left, nor follow strange gods, nor worship them. |
| 15但是，如果你不聽從上主你的天主的話，不謹守遵行我今天吩咐你的上主的一切誡命和法令，下面這些咒罵必要臨於你，來到你身上。 | 15But if thou wilt not hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep and to do all his commandments and ceremonies, which I command thee this day, all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. |
| 16你在城內必遭受咒罵，在鄉下也必遭受咒罵。 | 16Cursed shalt thou be in the city, cursed in the field. |
| 17你的筐籃，你的揉麵盆，都要遭受咒罵。 | 17Cursed shall be thy barn, and cursed thy stores. |
| 18你身所生的，田地所產的，牛所生殖的，羊所產下的，都要遭受咒罵。 | 18Cursed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, the herds of thy oxen, and the flocks of thy sheep. |
| 19你進來，必遭受咒罵； | 19Cursed shalt thou be coming in, and cursed going out. |
| 20你出去也必遭受咒罵。上主在你着手進行的一切事上，必使你遭受災難、困擾和恐嚇，直到你完全毀滅，迅速滅亡，因為你作惡，離棄了我。 | 20The Lord shall send upon thee famine and hunger, and a rebuke upon all the works which thou shalt do: until he consume and destroy thee quickly, for thy most wicked inventions, by which thou hast forsaken me. |
| 21上主必使你瘟疫纏身，直到將你由你要去佔領的地上完全消滅。 | 21May the Lord set the pestilence upon thee, until he consume thee out of the land, which thou shalt go in to possess. |
| 22上主必用癆病、熱病、瘧疾、炎熱、乾旱、熱風和霉爛打擊你；這些災殃必追擊你，直到你滅亡。 | 22May the Lord afflict thee with miserable want, with the fever and with cold, with burning and with heat, and with corrupted air and with blasting, and pursue thee till thou perish. |
| 23你頭上的天將變為銅，你下面的地將變為鐵。 | 23Be the heaven, that is over thee, of brass: and the ground thou treadest on, of iron. |
| 24上主必使雨變成灰沙降在你的田地裏，由天上降在你身上，直到你完全毀滅。 | 24The Lord give thee dust for rain upon thy land, and let ashes come down from heaven upon thee, till thou be consumed. |
| 25上主必使你在你仇敵面前崩潰；你由一路出擊他們，卻分七路由他們前逃去；你要成為普世萬國驚駭的對象。 | 25The Lord make thee to fall down before thy enemies, one way mayst thou go out against them, and flee seven ways, and be scattered throughout all the kingdoms of the earth. |
| 26你的屍首必成為天空飛鳥，和地上走獸的食物；無人來將牠們嚇走。 | 26And be thy carcass meat for all the Fowls of the air, and the beasts of the earth, and be there none to drive them away. |
| 27上主必用埃及的膿瘡、痔漏、癬疥和紅疹打擊你，使你無法醫治。 | 27The Lord strike thee with the ulcer of Egypt, and the part of thy body, by which the dung is cast out, with the scab and with the itch: so that thou canst not be healed. |
| 28上主必用癲狂、眼瞎和心亂打擊你； | 28The Lord strike thee with madness and blindness and fury of mind. |
| 29在正午時，你要摸索有如在黑暗中摸索的瞎子；你的所作所為決不會順利；你必日日受人壓迫剝削，而無人援助。 | 29And mayst thou grope at midday as the blind is wont to grope in the dark, and not make straight thy ways. And mayst thou at all times suffer wrong, and be oppressed with violence, and mayst thou have no one to deliver thee. |
| 30你與一女子訂婚，別人卻來與她同寢；你建築一座房屋，卻不得住在裏面；你栽植葡萄園，卻得不到享用。 | 30Mayst thou take a wife, and another sleep with her. Mayst thou build a house, and not dwell therein. Mayest thou plant a vineyard and not gather the vintage thereof. |
| 31你的牛在你眼前被殺，你卻不能吃牠的肉；你的驢由你眼前被人搶去，再不歸還給你；你的羊群被交給你的敵人，卻無人來援助你。 | 31May thy ox be slain before thee, and thou not eat thereof. May thy ass be taken away in thy sight, and not restored to thee. May thy sheep be given to thy enemies, and may there be none to help thee. |
| 32你的兒女被交給外方民族，你只有雙眼張望，日日為他們焦慮，但你卻無能為力。 | 32May thy sons and thy daughters be given to another people, thy eyes looking on, and languishing at the sight of them all the day, and may there be no strength in thy hand. |
| 33你田地的出產和你勞力之所得，卻為你不認識的一個民族吃盡；你只有時時被人壓迫蹂躪； | 33May a people which thou knowest not, eat the fruits of thy land, and all thy labours: and mayst thou always suffer oppression, and be crushed at all times. |
| 34你必要因你親眼所見的事而變為瘋狂。 | 34And be astonished at the terror of those things which thy eyes shall see: |
| 35上主必用惡瘡打擊你的膝和腿，由踵至頂，使你無法醫治。 | 35May the Lord strike thee with a very sore ulcer in the knees and in the legs, and be thou incurable from the sole of the foot to the top of the head. |
| 36上主必將你和你所立的統治你的君王，送到你和你祖先不認識的一個民族那裏去，在那裏你要事奉別的神，即木石所製的神。 | 36The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king, whom thou shalt have appointed over thee, into a nation which thou and thy fathers know not: and there thou shalt serve strange gods, wood and stone. |
| 37在上主要送你去的各民族中，你必成為驚駭、嘲笑和諷刺的對象。 | 37And thou shalt be lost, as a proverb and a byword to all people, among whom the Lord shall bring thee in. |
| 38你在田間撒的種子雖然很多，但收穫的卻很少，因為蝗蟲要來吃盡。 | 38Thou shalt cast much seed into the ground, and gather little: because the locusts shall consume all. |
| 39你雖然栽種修剪葡萄園，卻沒有酒喝，沒有收成，因為都要為蟲子吃盡。 | 39Thou shalt plant a vineyard, and dig it, and shalt not drink the wine, nor gather any thing thereof: because it shall be wasted with worms. |
| 40你雖然在全境栽有橄欖樹，卻沒有油抹身，因為橄欖要遂結遂落。 | 40Thou shalt have olive trees in all thy borders, and shalt not be anointed with the oil: for the olives shall fall off and perish. |
| 41你雖然生子養女，但他們卻不屬於你，因為他們要被擄去。 | 41Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, and shalt not enjoy them: because they shall be led into captivity. |
| 42害蟲要吃盡你所有的樹木和土地的出產。 | 42The blast shall consume all the trees and the fruits of thy ground. |
| 43住在你中間的外方人不斷發達興旺，遠在你以上，你反而日趨卑下。 | 43The stranger that liveth with thee in the land, shall rise up over thee, and shall be higher: and thou shalt go down, and be lower. |
| 44他要借給你，你卻不能借給他；他要為首，你卻要做尾巴。 | 44He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him. He shall be as the head, and thou shalt be the tail. |
| 45這一切咒罵必臨於你，追擊你，來到你身上，直到你全被消滅，因為你沒有聽從上主你的天主的話，沒有遵守他吩咐你的誡命和法令。 | 45And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue and overtake thee, till thou perish: because thou heardst not the voice of the Lord thy God, and didst not keep his commandments and ceremonies which he commanded thee. |
| 46這些咒罵對你和你的子孫，永遠是一個徽號和徵兆。 | 46And they shall be as signs and wonders on thee, and on thy seed for ever. |
| 47因為在財物富裕時，你沒有誠心悅意地去事奉上主你的天主， | 47Because thou didst not serve the Lord thy God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things: |
| 48你必在飢渴，赤身露體，一無所有中，服侍上主派來攻擊你的仇敵；他必將鐵軛放在你的頸上，直到將你消滅。 | 48Thou shalt serve thy enemy, whom the Lord will send upon thee, in hunger, and thirst, and nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put an iron yoke upon thy neck, till he consume thee. |
| 49上主必由遠方，由地極引來一個民族，像鷹一樣撲襲你；這民族的語言，你不明瞭； | 49The Lord will bring upon thee a nation from afar, and from the uttermost ends of the earth, like an eagle that flyeth swiftly, whose tongue thou canst not understand, |
| 50這民族又鐵面無情，不敬老，不恤幼； | 50A most insolent nation, that will shew no regard to the ancients, nor have pity on the infant, |
| 51他必吞食你家畜的幼雛，和田地的產物，直到你被消滅；必不給你留下什麼穀、米、酒、油、牛犢或羔羊，直到將你完全毀滅。 | 51And will devour the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruits of thy land: until thou be destroyed, and will leave thee no wheat, nor wine, nor oil, nor herds of oxen, nor flocks of sheep: until he destroy thee. |
| 52他必將你圍困在所有的城鎮內，直到你全國內所依恃的高大堅固的城牆都被攻陷；當你被圍困在上主你天主賜給你的全境各城鎮內時， | 52And consume thee in all thy cities, and thy strong and high walls be brought down, wherein thou trustedst in all thy land. Thou shalt be besieged within thy gates in all thy land which the Lord thy God will give thee: |
| 53在你被仇敵圍困的窮困中，你要吃你自身所生，即上主你天主賜給你的子女的肉。 | 53And thou shalt eat the fruit of thy womb, and the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God shall give thee, in the distress and extremity wherewith thy enemy shall oppress thee. |
| 54你中間最溫柔嬌嫩的男人，這時對自己的兄弟、懷中的妻子、尚存的子女，也必冷眼相看， | 54The man that is nice among you, and very delicate, shall envy his own brother, and his wife, that lieth in his bosom, |
| 55不願將他所吃的子女的肉，分給他們任何人，因為在你的仇敵使你在各城鎮中受圍困陷於絕境時，已一無所剩。 | 55So that he will not give them of the flesh of his children, which he shall eat: because he hath nothing else in the siege and the want, wherewith thy enemies shall distress thee within all thy gates. |
| 56你中間最溫柔嬌嫩的女人，先前嬌嫩溫柔得連腳都不踏在地上，這時對自己懷中的丈夫、自己的子女、也要冷眼相看， | 56The tender and delicate woman, that could not go upon the ground, nor set down her foot for over much niceness and tenderness, will envy her husband who lieth in her bosom, the flesh of her son, and of her daughter, |
| 57暗中將她兩腿間脫出的胞衣，和她所生的子女吃掉，因為在你的仇敵使你在各城鎮中受圍困，陷於窮困時，已一無所有。 | 57And the filth of the afterbirths, that come forth from between her thighs, and the children that are born the same hour. For they shall eat them secretly for the want of all things, in the siege and distress, wherewith thy enemy shall oppress thee within thy gates. |
| 58如果你不謹守遵行這書上所記的法律的一切條文，敬畏這光榮可畏的名號：上主你的天主， | 58If thou wilt not keep, and fulfill all the words of this law, that are written in this volume, and fear his glorious and terrible name: that is, The Lord thy God: |
| 59上主必使你和你的後裔遭受更奇特的災害，大而且久的災害，毒而且頑的疾病； | 59The Lord shall increase thy plagues, and the plagues of thy seed, plagues great and lasting, infirmities grievous and perpetual. |
| 60必使你所怕的各種埃及病災發生在你身上，纏繞着你。 | 60And he shall bring back on thee all the afflictions of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of, and they shall stick fast to thee. |
| 61此外，在這法律書上所沒有記載的一切疾病和災害，上主也要引來降在你身上，直到將你完全消滅。 | 61Moreover the Lord will bring upon thee all the diseases, and plagues, that are not written in the volume of this law till he consume thee: |
| 62你們以前雖然多如天上的繁星，你們所留下的，卻寥寥無幾，因為你沒有聽從上主你天主的話。 | 62And you shall remain few in number, who before were as the stars of heaven for multitude, because thou heardst not the voice of the Lord thy God. |
| 63有如上主先前怎樣喜歡你們獲得幸福，使你們人數眾多，將來也要怎樣喜歡你們衰落，使你們滅亡，使你們由你要去佔領的地上盡被剷除。 | 63And as the Lord rejoiced upon you before doing good to you, and multiplying you: so he shall rejoice destroying and bringing you to nought, so that you shall be taken away from the land which thou shalt go in to possess. |
| 64上主要將你分散在大地兩極間所有人民中，你要在那裏事奉你和你祖先所不認識的外神，即木石之神； | 64The Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the farthest parts of the earth to the ends thereof: and there thou shalt serve strange gods, which both thou art ignorant of and thy fathers, wood and stone. |
| 65而且在這些民族中，你總得不到安寧，也找不到一塊歇腳的地方；上主在那裏必使你心情煩亂，眼目憔悴，精神頹喪。 | 65Neither shalt thou be quiet, even in those nations, nor shall there be any rest for the sole of thy foot. For the Lord will give thee a fearful heart, and languishing eyes, and a soul consumed with pensiveness: |
| 66你未來的生活必提心吊膽，日夜驚惶；生命毫無保障。 | 66And thy life shall be as it were hanging before thee. Thou shalt fear night and day, neither shalt thou trust thy life. |
| 67因你心情恐慌，因你眼見的景象，早晨你要說：『巴不得現在是晚上！』到了晚上你又要說：『巴不得現在是早晨！』 | 67In the morning thou shalt say: Who will grant me evening? and at evening: Who will grant me morning? for the fearfulness of thy heart, wherewith thou shalt be terrified, and for those things which thou shalt see with thy eyes. |
| 68上主要用船將你送回埃及，走我曾告訴你，你不會再見的那條路；在那裏你們雖自願將自己賣給你的仇敵為奴為婢，卻無人肯買。」 | 68The Lord shall bring thee again with ships into Egypt, by the way whereof he said to thee that thou shouldst see it no more. There shalt thou be set to sale to thy enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. |
| 69這是上主在曷勒布山與以色列子民訂立的盟約以外，在摩阿布地方吩咐梅瑟同以色列子民訂立盟約的言辭。 | 69 |
