¹三十年四月五日，當我在革巴爾河畔，在俘虜之中的時候，天開了，我見了天主的異像，	¹Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives by the river Chobar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.
²時在耶苛尼雅王充軍後第五年四月五日；	²On the fifth day of the month, the same was the fifth year of the captivity of king Joachin,
³那時在加色丁地，靠近革巴爾河，上主的話傳給步齊的兒子厄則克耳司祭，上主的手臨於我。	³The word of the Lord came to Ezechiel the priest the son of Buzi in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chobar: and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.
⁴我觀望，看，有一陣暴風由北方吹來，颳來一大塊火光四射的雲彩，雲中有一團旋轉的火，火中有一種發亮的金屬。	⁴And I saw, and behold a whirlwind came out of the north: and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it, and brightness was about it: and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber:
⁵火中似乎有四個活物的形狀，牠們的外表是這樣：都有人的形狀。	⁵And in the midst thereof the likeness of four living creatures: and this was their appearance: there was the likeness of a man in them.
⁶每個有四種形像，每個有四隻翅膀。	⁶Every one had four faces, and every one four wings.
⁷牠們的腳是直立的腳，腳掌像牛蹄，發亮像磨光的銅。	⁷Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of a calf's foot, and they sparkled like the appearance of glowing brass.
⁸在牠們四面的翅膀下邊，都有人手；四個活物各有自己的形像和翅膀。	⁸And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides: and they had faces, and wings on the four sides,
⁹牠們的翅膀互相連接，在行走時不必轉身，各朝着自己的前面行走。	⁹And the wings of one were joined to the wings of another. They turned not when they went: but every one went straight forward.
¹⁰關於牠們外表的形像：牠們四個的正面都具有人的形像，右邊有獅的形像，左邊有牛的形像，背面有鷹的形像。	¹⁰And as for the likeness of their faces: there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of all the four: and the face of an ox, on the left side of all the four: and the face of an eagle over all the four.
¹¹牠們的翅膀向上伸開，每個用兩隻翅膀互相連接，用兩隻翅膀遮蔽身體。	¹¹And their faces, and their wings were stretched upward: two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies:
¹²每個朝着自己的前面行走；神力催迫牠們往那裏去，牠們就往那裏去；行走時不必轉身。	¹²And every one of them went straight forward: whither the impulse of the spirit was to go, thither they went: and they turned not when they went.
¹³在活物中間有一種相似燃着的炭火，又好似火炬在活物中旋轉。這火有亮光，由火中射出閃光。	¹³And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision running to and fro in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, and lightning going forth from the fire.
¹⁴活物來回疾馳，好像閃電。	¹⁴And the living creatures ran and returned like flashes of lightning.
¹⁵我觀望那些活物時，看，靠近那些活物的四面，在地上各有一個輪子。	¹⁵Now as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared upon the earth by the living creatures one wheel with four faces.
¹⁶那些輪子及其構造的外表，光澤有如橄欖石，四輪都有同樣的形狀。四輪結構的樣式，好像輪子套在輪子中。	¹⁶And the appearance of the wheels, and the work of them was like the appearance of the sea: and the four had all one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the midst of a wheel.
¹⁷輪子轉動時，可向四方旋轉，前行時不必轉轍。	¹⁷When they went, they went by their four parts: and they turned not when they went.
¹⁸輪輞高大，我看見四個輪輞都佈滿了眼睛。	¹⁸The wheels had also a size, and a height, and a dreadful appearance: and the whole body was full of eyes round about all the four.
¹⁹活物行走時，輪子也在牠們旁邊轉動；活物由地面升起時，輪子也升起。	¹⁹And when the living creatures went, the wheels also went together by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels also were lifted up with them.
²⁰神力催迫活物往那裏去，牠們就往神力催迫的方向去；輪子也同時與牠們一起升起，因為活物的神力在輪子內。	²⁰Whithersoever the spirit went, thither as the spirit went the wheels also were lifted up withal, and followed it: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.
²¹活物行走，輪子也轉動；活物站住，輪子也停住；活物由地上升起，輪子也隨之升起，因為活物的神力在輪子內。	²¹When those went these went, and when those stood these stood, and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels also were lifted up together, and followed them: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.
²²在活物的頭上，有相似穹蒼的東西，好像發亮的水晶，在牠們頭上展開。	²²And over the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of the firmament, as the appearance of crystal terrible to behold, and stretched out over their heads above.
²³在穹蒼下伸直牠們的翅膀，一隻的翅膀與另一隻的翅膀彼此相接，又各有兩隻翅膀遮蔽着身體。	²³And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other, every one with two wings covered his body, and the other was covered in like manner.
²⁴當牠們行動時，我聽見翅膀的颯颯聲，像洪水之聲，又像全能者的聲音，又似軍營中的喧噪之聲。當牠們站住時，就歛起翅膀。	²⁴And I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, as it were the voice of the most high God: when they walked, it was like the voice of a multitude, like the noise of an army, and when they stood, their wings were let down.
²⁵那時，由牠們頭頂上的穹蒼那裏，發出一種響聲；活物即站住，就歛起翅膀。	²⁵For when a voice came from above the firmament, that was over their heads, they stood, and let down their wings.
²⁶在牠們頭頂上的穹蒼上面，有一塊像藍玉的石頭，有寶座的形狀；在這狀如寶座之上，有一個外貌像人的坐在上頭。	²⁶And above the firmament that was over their heads, was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of the sapphire stone, and upon the likeness of the throne, was a likeness as of the appearance of a man above upon it.
²⁷我望見在他相似腰部的上面，好像有發亮的金屬，內裏和周圍好像一團火。我又望見在相似腰部的下面，好像有火的形狀，周圍有光環繞，	²⁷And I saw as it were the resemblance of amber as the appearance of fire within it round about: from his loins and upward, and from his loins downward, I saw as it were the resemblance of fire shining round about.
²⁸環繞在周圍的光，猶如落雨時雲彩中所出現的虹霓。這就是上主的光榮顯現時的奇象。我一看見，就伏地掩面，同時也聽見有一位講話的聲音。	²⁸As the appearance of the rainbow when it is in a cloud on a rainy day: this was the appearance of the brightness round about.
