| 1上主的話傳給我說： | 1And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 2「人子，你要講預言說：吾主上主這樣說：你們應悲哀；禍哉，那一日！ | 2Son of man prophesy, and say: Thus saith the Lord God: Howl ye, Woe, woe to the day: |
| 3因為那一日近了，上主的日子近了，那是密雲的日子，是異民的終期。 | 3For the day is near, yea the day of the Lord is near: a cloudy day, it shall be the time of the nations. |
| 4刀劍必臨於埃及；傷亡者橫臥在埃及時，恐怖必籠罩着雇士。她的財富必被搶去，她的基礎必被拆毀。 | 4And the sword shall come upon Egypt: and there shall be dread in Ethiopia, when the wounded shall fall in Egypt, and the multitude thereof shall be taken away, and the foundations thereof shall be destroyed. |
| 5雇士、普特、路得和一切雜族，利比亞和同他們結盟的本地人，都要喪身刀下。 | 5Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the rest of the crowd, and Chub, and the children of the land of the covenant, shall fall with them by the sword. |
| 6上主這樣說：凡支持埃及的人都要喪亡，她驕傲的勢力必要衰落，由米革多耳到色威乃的人，必喪身刀下──吾主上主的斷語── | 6Thus saith the Lord God: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall, and the pride of her empire shall be brought down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord the God of hosts. |
| 7她要在荒蕪地帶中，成為最荒蕪的；她的城在荒廢的城中，將成為最荒廢的。 | 7And they shall be desolate in the midst of the lands that are desolate, and the cities thereof shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. |
| 8當我在埃及點火時，凡輔佐她的都要毀滅，那時他們便承認我是上主。 | 8And they shall know that I am the Lord: when I shall have set a fire in Egypt, and all the helpers thereof shall be destroyed. |
| 9在那一日，我必派遣使者，乘着船，恐嚇安居的雇士；恐怖必要籠罩他們，如埃及的日子。看，已來到了。 | 9In that day shall messengers go forth from my face in ships to destroy the confidence of Ethiopia, and there shall be dread among them in the day of Egypt: because it shall certainly come. |
| 10吾主上主這樣說：我要藉巴比倫王拿步高的手，消滅埃及的民眾。 | 10Thus saith the Lord God: I will make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon. |
| 11他和跟他來的人民，是萬民中最兇殘的；他們被派來，是為破壞此地；他們將拔刀攻打埃及，使此地充滿傷亡的人。 | 11He and his people with him, the strongest of nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords upon Egypt: and shall fill the land with the slain. |
| 12我要使河流成為乾地，把此地賣給惡人，藉外人的手破壞此地和此地的一切：這是我，上主說的。 | 12And I will make the channels of the rivers dry, and will deliver the land into the hand of the wicked: and will lay waste the land and all that is therein by the hands of strangers, I the Lord have spoken it. |
| 13吾主上主這樣說：我必要消滅偶像，使邪神由諾夫絕跡，由埃及再不出現王侯；使恐怖降在埃及地， | 13Thus saith the Lord God: I will also destroy the idols, and I will make an end of the idols of Memphis: and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will cause a terror in the land of Egypt. |
| 14使帕特洛斯變為曠野，在左罕點火，對諾施行懲罰。 | 14And I will destroy the land of Phatures, and will make a fire in Taphnis, and will execute judgments in Alexandria. |
| 15我要向新──埃及的要塞，發洩我的怒氣，剷除諾的民眾。 | 15And I will pour out my indignation upon Pelusium the strength of Egypt, and will cut off the multitude of Alexandria. |
| 16我要在埃及點火，新必因恐怖而戰慄，諾必被破壞，諾夫白日遭受敵人攻擊。 | 16And I will make a fire in Egypt: Pelusium shall be in pain like a woman in labour, and Alexandria shall be laid waste, and in Memphis there shall be daily distresses. |
| 17翁及丕貝色特的壯丁必喪身刀下，二城的人都要被擄去。 | 17The young men of Heliopolis, and of Bubastus shall fall by the sword, and they themselves shall go into captivity. |
| 18當我在塔黑培乃斯打斷埃及的權杖，消滅她驕傲的勢力時，白日將變為黑暗，烏雲籠罩着她，她的女兒也要被擄去。 | 18And in Taphnis the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the sceptres of Egypt, and the pride of her power shall cease in her: a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall be led into captivity. |
| 19當我對埃及施行懲罰時，他們必承認我是上主。」 | 19And I will execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the Lord. |
| 20十一年一月初七日，上主的話傳給我說： | 20And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 21「人子，我打斷了埃及王法郎的臂膊，看，沒有人包紥，沒有人敷藥，或用繃帶裡起，使臂膊有力拿劍。 | 21Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharao king of Egypt: and behold it is not bound up, to be healed, to be tied up with clothes, and swathed with linen, that it might recover strength, and hold the sword. |
| 22為此，吾主上主這樣說：看，我要打擊埃及王法郎，打斷他那還有力量的臂膊，使刀由他手中跌落。 | 22Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I come against Pharao king of Egypt, and I will break into pieces his strong arm, which is already broken: and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand: |
| 23我要將埃及人分散到外邦，把他們散布在各地。 | 23And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and scatter them through the countries. |
| 24我必要加強巴比倫王的臂膊，把我的刀放在他手中；我要打斷法郎的臂膊，使他在那人面前呻吟，像受傷的人呻吟一樣。 | 24And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and will put my sword in his hand: and I will break the arms of Pharao, and they shall groan bitterly being slain before his face. |
| 25我要加強巴比倫王的臂膊，而法郎的臂膞反要衰弱；當我把我的刀交在巴比倫王手中，使他伸向埃及地時，他們便要承認我是上主。 | 25And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharao shall fall: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have given my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall have stretched it forth upon the land of Egypt. |
| 26我要將埃及人分散到外邦，把他們散佈在各地：如此，他們便要承認我是上主。」 | 26And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and will scatter them through the countries, and they shall know that I am the Lord. |
