| 1波斯王居魯士元年，為應驗上主藉耶肋米亞的口所說的話，上主感動了波斯王居魯士的心，叫他出一道號令，並向全國頒發上諭說： | 1In the first year of Cyrus king of the Persians, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremias might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of the Persians: and he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and in writing also, saying: |
| 2「波斯王居魯士這樣說：上天的神「雅威」，將地上萬國交給了我，囑咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷，為他建築一座殿宇。 | 2Thus saith Cyrus king of the Persians: The Lord the God of heaven hath given to me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judea. |
| 3你們中間凡作他子民的，願他的神與他同在，上猶大的耶路撒冷，建築以色列的神「雅威」的殿宇──他是在耶路撒冷的神。 | 3Who is there among you of all his people? His God be with him. Let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judea, and build the house of the Lord the God of Israel: he is the God that is in Jerusalem. |
| 4所有的遺民，無論僑居在什麼地方，那地方的人都應捐助金銀、貨財、牲畜，以及自願的獻儀，為那在耶路撒冷的神修建殿宇」。 | 4And let all the rest in all places wheresoever they dwell, help him every man from his place. with silver and gold, and goods, and cattle, besides that which they offer freely to the temple of God, which is in Jerusalem. |
| 5於是，猶大和本雅明的族長、司祭、肋未人，以及那些受天主感動了心的人，就起身上去，要建築耶路撒冷的上主的殿宇； | 5Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Juda and Benjamin, and the priests, and Levites, and every one whose spirit God had raised up, to go up to build the temple of the Lord, which was in Jerusalem. |
| 6四鄰八舍都拿出所有的金銀、貨財、牲畜和珠寶來協助他們；此外，還有各種自願的獻儀。 | 6And all they that were round about, helped their hands with vessels of silver, and gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with furniture, besides what they had offered on their own accord. |
| 7居魯士王也將上主殿內的器皿交出，即先前拿步高從耶路撒冷掠奪而放在他神殿裏的器皿， | 7And king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the temple of the Lord, which Nabuchodonosor had taken from Jerusalem, and had put them in the temple of his god. |
| 8波斯王居魯士命司庫官米特達特，將那些東西拿出，點交給猶太人的首領舍市巴匝， | 8Now Cyrus king of Persia brought them forth by the hand of Mithridates the son of Gazabar, and numbered them to Sassabasar the prince of Juda. |
| 9共計金盆三十，銀盆一千，刀子二十九， | 9And this is the number of them: thirty bowls of gold, a thousand bowls of silver, nine and twenty knives, thirty cups of gold, |
| 10金碗三十，次等銀碗四百一十，其他器皿一千： | 10Silver cups of a second sort, four hundred and ten: other vessels a thousand. |
| 11一切金銀器皿，共五千四百件。舍市巴匝就帶着這一切與充軍的人，從巴比倫回了耶路撒冷。 | 11All the vessels of gold and silver, five thousand four hundred: all these Sassabasar brought with them that came up from the captivity of Babylon to Jerusalem. |
