¹亞巴郎九十九歲時，上主顯現給他，對他說：「我是全能的天主，你當在我面前行走，作個成全的人。	¹And after he began to be ninety and nine years old, the Lord appeared to him: and said unto him: I am the Almighty God: walk before me, and be perfect.
²我要與你立約，使你極其繁盛。」	²And I will make my covenant between me and thee: and I will multiply thee exceedingly.
³亞巴郎遂俯伏在地；天主又對他說：	³Abram fell flat on his face.
⁴「看，是我與你立約：你要成為萬民之父；	⁴And God said to him: I AM, and my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
⁵以後，你不再叫做亞巴郎，要叫做亞巴辣罕，因為我已立定你為萬民之父，	⁵Neither shall thy name be called any more Abram: but thou shalt be called Abraham: because I have made thee a father of many nations.
⁶使你極其繁衍，成為一大民族，君王要由你而出。	⁶And I will make thee increase, exceedingly, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
⁷我要在我與你和你歷代後裔之間，訂立我的約，當作永久的約，就是我要做你和你後裔的天主。	⁷And I will establish my covenant between me and thee, and between thy seed after thee in their generations, by a perpetual covenant: to be a God to thee, and to thy seed after thee.
⁸我必將你現今僑居之地，即客納罕全地，賜給你和你的後裔做永久的產業；我要作他們的天主。」	⁸And I will give to thee, and to thy seed, the land of thy sojournment, all the land of Chanaan for a perpetual possession, and I will be their God.
⁹天主又對亞巴郎說：「你和你的後裔，世世代代應遵守我的約。	⁹Again God said to Abraham: And thou therefore shalt keep my covenant, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
¹⁰這就是你們應遵守的，在我與你們以及你的後裔之間所立的約：你們中所有的男子都應受割損。	¹⁰This is my covenant which you shall observe, between me and you, and thy seed after thee: All the male kind of you shall be circumcised:
¹¹你們都應割去肉體上的包皮，作為我與你們之間的盟約的標記。	¹¹And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, that it may be for a sign of the covenant between me and you.
¹²你們中世世代代所有的男子，在生後八日都應受割損；連家中生的，或是用錢買來而不屬你種族的外方人，都應受割損。	¹²An infant of eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations: he that is born in the house, as well as the bought servant shall be circumcised, and whosoever is not of your stock:
¹³凡在你家中生的，和你用錢買來的奴僕，都該受割損。這樣，我的約刻在你們肉體上作為永久的約。	¹³And my covenant shall be in your flesh for a perpetual covenant.
¹⁴凡未割去包皮，未受割損的男子，應由民間剷除；因他違犯了我的約。」	¹⁴The male, whose flesh of his foreskin shall not be circumcised, that soul shall be destroyed out of his people: because he hath broken my covenant.
¹⁵天主又對亞巴郎說：「你的妻子撒辣依，你不要再叫她撒辣依，而要叫她撒辣。	¹⁵God said also to Abraham: Sarai thy wife thou shalt not call Sarai, but Sara.
¹⁶我必要祝福她，使她也給你生個兒子。我要祝福她，使她成為一大民族，人民的君王要由她而生。」	¹⁶And I will bless her, and of her I will give thee a son, whom I will bless, and he shall become nations, and kings of people shall spring from him.
¹⁷亞巴郎遂俯伏在地笑起來，心想：「百歲的人還能生子嗎？撒辣已九十歲，還能生子？」	¹⁷Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, saying in his heart: Shall a son, thinkest thou, be born to him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sara that is ninety years old bring forth?
¹⁸亞巴郎對天主說：「只望依市瑪耳在你面前生存就夠了！」	¹⁸And he said to God: O that Ismael may live before thee.
¹⁹天主說：「你的妻子撒辣確要給你生個兒子，你要給他起名叫依撒格；我要與他和他的後裔，訂立我的約當作永久的約。	¹⁹And God said to Abraham: Sara thy wife shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name Isaac, and I will establish my covenant with him for a perpetual covenant, and with his seed after him.
²⁰至於依市瑪耳，我也聽從你；我要祝福他，使他繁衍，極其昌盛。他要生十二個族長，我要使他成為一大民族。	²⁰And as for Ismael I have also heard thee. Behold, I will bless him, and increase, and multiply him exceedingly: he shall beget twelve chiefs, and I will make him a great nation.
²¹但是我的約，我要與明年此時撒辣給你生的依撒格訂立。」	²¹But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sara shall bring forth to thee at this time in the next year.
²²天主同亞巴郎說完話，就離開他上升去了。	²²And when he had left off speaking with him, God went up from Abraham.
²³當天，亞巴郎就照天主所吩咐的，召集他的兒子依市瑪耳以及凡家中生的，和用錢買來的奴僕，即自己家中的一切男子，割去了他們肉體上的包皮。	²³And Abraham took Ismael his son, and all that were born in his house: and all whom he had bought, every male among the men of his house: and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin forthwith the very same day, as God had commanded him.
²⁴亞巴郎受割損時，已九十九歲；	²⁴Abraham was ninety and nine years old, when he circumcised the flesh of his foreskin.
²⁵他的兒子，依市瑪耳受割損時，是十三歲。	²⁵And Ismael his son was full thirteen years old at the time of his circumcision.
²⁶亞巴郎和他的兒子依市瑪耳在同日上受了割損。	²⁶The selfsame day was Abraham circumcised and Ismael his son.
²⁷他家中所有的男人，不論是家中生的，或是由外方人那裏用錢買來的奴僕，都與他一同受了割損。	²⁷And all the men of his house, as well they that were born in his house, as the bought servants and strangers were circumcised with him.
