¹禍哉，那為酒灌倒的厄弗辣因醉漢所驕矜的冠冕！禍哉，那生於肥谷之巔作她美飾的殘花！	¹Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower the glory of his joy, who were on the head of the fat valley, staggering with wine.
²看哪！吾主興起一位強有力者，有如帶冰雹的暴雨，又如摧毀性的狂風，和漲溢氾濫的大水，猛力將一切拋落地上。	²Behold the Lord is mighty and strong, as a storm of hail: a destroying whirlwind, as the violence of many waters overflowing, and sent forth upon a spacious land.
³厄弗辣因醉漢所驕矜的冠冕，必被人踏在腳下；	³The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim shall be trodden under feet.
⁴生於肥谷之巔作她美飾的殘花，將如夏季前早熟的無花果，人一見到便伸手摘取吞下。	⁴And the fading flower the glory of his joy, who is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as a hasty fruit before the ripeness of autumn: which when he that seeth it shall behold, as soon as he taketh it in his hand, he will eat it up.
⁵到那一天，萬軍的上主將親作他殘餘的百姓的榮冠和華冕；	⁵In that day the Lord of hosts shall be a crown of glory, and a garland of joy to the residue of his people:
⁶他將是坐堂判案者的公義之神，將是城門前禦敵者的力量。	⁶And a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that return out of the battle to the gate.
⁷連這些人也因清酒而搖晃，因濃酒而蹣跚；他們在異象中搖晃，在審斷時暈眩。	⁷But these also have been ignorant through wine, and through drunkenness have erred: the priest and the prophet have been ignorant through drunkenness, they are swallowed up with wine, they have gone astray in drunkenness, they have not known him that seeth, they have been ignorant of judgment.
⁸一切筵席上都滿了嘔吐，沒有一處不是垢物。	⁸For all tables were full of vomit and filth, so that there was no more place.
⁹他要將智識授給誰呢？向誰解釋啟示呢？是向方才斷乳和剛離母懷的嬰兒嗎？	⁹Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand the hearing? them that are weaned from the milk, that are drawn away from the breasts.
¹⁰這只是些「命上加命，命上加命，令上加令，令上加令，這裏一點，那裏一點！」	¹⁰For command, command again; command, command again; expect, expect again; expect, expect again: a little there, a little there.
¹¹是的，上主要用口吃的唇，異人的舌，向這民族說話！	¹¹For with the speech of lips, and with another tongue he will speak to this people.
¹²雖然他曾對他們說過：「這就是安息的地方，讓困倦的人安息罷！這就是休養的處所。」可惜他們總不肯聽從。	¹²To whom he said: This is my rest, refresh the weary, and this is my refreshing: and they would not hear.
¹³因此上主的話對他們真成了「命上加命，命上加命，令上加令，令上加令，這裏一點，那裏一點」，致使他們雖然前行，卻向後仰倒而跌傷，陷於圈套而被擄獲。	¹³And the word of the Lord shall be to them: Command, command again; command, command again: expect, expect again; expect, expect again: a little there, a little there: that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
¹⁴為此，你們這些在耶路撒冷統治這民族的好嘲弄的人，聽上主的話罷！	¹⁴Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, who rule over my people that is in Jerusalem.
¹⁵你們曾說過：「我們與死亡訂了盟，與陰府結了約，當狂怒的刑鞭經過時，不會落在我們身上，因為我們有欺詐作我們的遮掩，有虛偽作我們的庇護。」	¹⁵For you have said: We have entered into a league with death, and we have made a covenant with hell. When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come upon us: for we have placed our hope in lies, and by falsehood we are protected.
¹⁶因此吾主上主這樣說：「看，我要在熙雍安放一塊石頭，一塊精選的石頭，一塊寶貴的角石作基礎，信賴的人必不動搖。	¹⁶Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold I will lay a stone in the foundations of Sion, a tried stone, a corner stone, a precious stone, founded in the foundation. He that believeth, let him not hasten.
¹⁷我要以公平為準繩，以正義為權衡；冰雹將蕩盡欺詐的遮掩地，洪流將沖散虛偽的庇護所。	¹⁷And I will set judgment in weight, and justice in measure: and hail shall overturn the hope of falsehood: and waters shall overflow its protection.
¹⁸你們與死亡所訂的盟必要廢除，與陰府所結的約必不持久；當狂怒的刑鞭經過時，你們必被蹂躪；	¹⁸And Sour league with death shall be abolished, and your covenant with hell shall not stand: when the overflowing scourge shall pass, you shall be trodden down by it.
¹⁹每次經過，每次必要打擊你們；他每朝經過，白日黑夜也經過；惟有恐怖方能使你們明白這啟示。」	¹⁹Whensoever it shall pass through, it shall take you away: because in the morning early it shall pass through, in the day and in the night, and vexation alone shall make you understand what you hear.
²⁰真是伸直身子床太短，縮作一團被又窄。	²⁰For the bed is straitened, so that one must fall out, and a short covering cannot cover both.
²¹因為上主要興起，如在培辣親山上一樣；要發怒，如在基貝紅山谷一樣，為履行他的工作──他神妙的工作，為完成他的事業──他奇異的事業。	²¹For the Lord shall stand up as in the mountain of divisions: he shall be angry as in the valley which is in Gabaon: that he may do his work, his strange work: that he may perform his work, his work is strange to him.
²²所以現在不要再嘲笑了，免得你們的繩索繫得更緊，因為我聽到的有關毀滅大地的決議，是來自吾主萬軍的上主。	²²And now do not mock, lest your bonds be tied strait. For I have heard of the Lord the God of hosts a consumption and a cutting short upon all the earth.
²³請你們側耳靜聽我的聲音，請留意傾聽我的言語：	²³Give ear, and hear my voice, hearken, and hear my speech.
²⁴耕田的人那有整日耕田，掘土耙地的呢？	²⁴Shall the ploughman plough all the day to sow, shall he open and harrow his ground?
²⁵當他把地弄平了以後，不是要撒上小茴香，播種大茴香，種植大麥和小麥，地邊種玉蜀黍嗎？	²⁵Will he not, when he hath made plain the surface thereof, sow gith, and scatter cummin, and put wheat in order, and barley, and millet, and vetches in their bounds?
²⁶這是上主教給他的方式，他的天主指示他的。	²⁶For he will instruct him in judgment: his God will teach him.
²⁷打小茴香不須用釘耙，打大茴香不須用碾機，而是用木棒打小茴香，用棍子打大茴香。	²⁷For gith shall not be thrashed with saws, neither shall the cart wheel turn about upon cummin: but gith shall be beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a staff.
²⁸五穀豈是要輾碎的嗎？不是！人並不將它無限期地壓了又壓，而是叫碾機滾過，碾出穀粒來，並不是為碾碎它。	²⁸But bread corn shall be broken small: but the thrasher shall not thrash it for ever, neither shall the cart wheel hurt it, nor break it with its teeth.
²⁹這也是出自萬軍的上主：他的計劃真是神奇，他的智慧真是超絕。	²⁹This also is come forth from the Lord God of hosts, to make his counsel wonderful, and magnify justice.
