| 1「我是真葡萄樹，我父是園丁。 | 1I am the true vine; and my Father is the husbandman. |
| 2凡在我身上不結實的枝條，他便剪掉；凡結實的，他就清理，使他結更多的果實； | 2Every branch in me, that beareth not fruit, he will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit. |
| 3你們因我對你們所講的話，已是清潔的了。 | 3Now you are clean by reason of the word, which I have spoken to you. |
| 4你們住在我內，我也住在你們內。正如枝條若不留在葡萄樹上，憑自己不能結實；你們若不住在我內，也一無所能。 | 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me. |
| 5我是葡萄樹，你們是枝條；那住在我內，我也住在他內的，他就結許多的果實，因為離了我，你們什麼也不能作。 | 5I am the vine: you the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. |
| 6誰若不住在我內，便彷彿枝條，丟在外面而枯乾了，人便把它拾起來，投入火中焚燒。 | 6If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him into the fire, and he burneth. |
| 7你們如果住在我內，而我的話也存在你們內，如此，你們願意什麼，求罷！必給你們成就。 | 7If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you. |
| 8我父受光榮，即在於你們多結果實，如此你們就成為我的門徒。 | 8In this is my Father glorified; that you bring forth very much fruit, and become my disciples. |
| 9正如父愛了我，同樣我也愛了你們；你們應存在我的愛內。 | 9As the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you. Abide in my love. |
| 10如果你們遵守我的命令，便存在我的愛內，正如我遵守了我父的命令而存在他的愛內一樣。 | 10If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love. |
| 11我對你們講論了這些事，為使我的喜樂存在你們內，使你們喜樂圓滿無缺。」 | 11These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled. |
| 12「這是我的命令：你們該彼此相愛，如同我愛了你們一樣。 | 12This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. |
| 13人若為自己的朋友捨掉性命，再沒有比這更大的愛情了。 | 13Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends. |
| 14你們如果實行我所命令你們的，你們就是我的朋友。 | 14You are my friends, if you do the things that I command you. |
| 15我不再稱你們為僕人，因為僕人不知道他主人所做的事。我稱你們為朋友，因為凡由我父聽來的一切，我都顯示給你們了。 | 15I will not now call you servants: for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth. But I have called you friends: because all things whatsoever I have heard of my Father, I have made known to you. |
| 16不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並派你們去結果實，去結常存的果實；如此，你們因我的名無論向父求什麼，他必賜給你們。 | 16You have not chosen me: but I have chosen you; and have appointed you, that you should go, and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. |
| 17這就是我命令你們的：你們應該彼此相愛。」 | 17These things I command you, that you love one another. |
| 18「世界若恨你們，你們該知道，在你們以前，它已恨了我。 | 18If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you. |
| 19若是你們屬於世界，世界必喜愛你們，有如屬於自己的人；但因你們不屬於世界，而是我從世界中揀選了你們，為此，世界纔恨你們。 | 19If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. |
| 20你們要記得我對你們所說過的話：沒有僕人大過主人的；如果人們迫害了我，也要迫害你們；如果他們遵守了我的話，也要遵守你們的。 | 20Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. |
| 21但是，他們為了我名字的緣故，要向你們作這一切，因為他們不認識那派遣我來的。 | 21But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake: because they know not him who sent me. |
| 22假使我沒有來，沒有教訓他們，他們就沒有罪；但現在他們對自己的罪，是無可推諉的。 | 22If I had not come, and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. |
| 23恨我的，也恨我的父。 | 23He that hateth me, hateth my Father also. |
| 24假使我在他們中，沒有做過其他任何人從未做過的事業，他們便沒有罪；然而，現在他們看見了，卻仍恨了我和我父。 | 24If I had not done among them the works that no other man hath done, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father. |
| 25但這是為應驗他們法律上所記載的話：『他們無故地惱恨了我。』 | 25But that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law: They hated me without cause. |
| 26當護慰者，就是我從父那裏給你們派遣的，那發於父的真理之神來到時，他必要為我作證； | 26But when the Paraclete cometh, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he shall give testimony of me. |
| 27並且你們也要作證，因為你們從開始就和我在一起。」 | 27And you shall give testimony, because you are with me from the beginning. |
