| 1這些事後，耶穌在提庇黎雅海邊，又顯現給門徒；他是這樣顯現的： | 1After this, Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he shewed himself after this manner. |
| 2當西滿伯多祿，號稱狄狄摩的多默，加里肋亞加納的納塔乃耳，載伯德的兩個兒子，和其他兩個門徒在一起的時候， | 2There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas, who is called Didymus, and Nathanael, who was of Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples. |
| 3西滿伯多祿對他們說：「我去打魚。」他們回答說：「我們也同你一起去。」他們便出去，上了船；但那一夜什麼也沒有捕到。 | 3Simon Peter saith to them: I go a fishing. They say to him: We also come with thee. And they went forth, and entered into the ship: and that night they caught nothing. |
| 4已經到了早晨，耶穌站在岸上，門徒卻沒有認出他是耶穌來。 | 4But when the morning was come, Jesus stood on the shore: yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. |
| 5於是耶穌對他們說：「孩子們，你們有些魚吃嗎？」他們回答說：「沒有。」 | 5Jesus therefore said to them: Children, have you any meat? They answered him: No. |
| 6耶穌向他們說：「向船右邊撒網，就會捕到。」他們便撒下網去，因為魚太多，竟不能拉上網來。 | 6He saith to them: Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and you shall find. They cast therefore; and now they were not able to draw it, for the multitude of fishes. |
| 7耶穌所愛的那個門徒就對伯多祿說：「是主。」西滿伯多祿一聽說是主，他原是赤著身，就束上外衣，縱身跳入海裡； | 7That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved, said to Peter: It is the Lord. Simon Peter, when he heard that it was the Lord, girt his coat about him, (for he was naked,) and cast himself into the sea. |
| 8其他的門徒，因離岸不遠──約有二百肘──坐著小船，拖著一網魚而來。 | 8But the other disciples came in the ship, (for they were not far from the land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. |
| 9當他們上了岸，看見放著一堆炭火，上面放著魚和餅。 | 9As soon then as they came to land, they saw hot coals lying, and a fish laid thereon, and bread. |
| 10耶穌對他們說：「把你們剛纔所打得的魚拿一些來！」 | 10Jesus saith to them: Bring hither of the fishes which you have now caught. |
| 11西滿伯多祿便上去，把網拉上岸來，網裡滿了大魚，共一百五十三條；雖然這麼多，網卻沒有破。 | 11Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, one hundred and fifty-three. And although there were so many, the net was not broken. |
| 12耶穌向他們說：「你們來吃早飯罷！」門徒中沒有人敢問他：「你是誰？」因為知道是主。 | 12Jesus saith to them: Come, and dine. And none of them who were at meat, durst ask him: Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. |
| 13耶穌遂上前拿起餅來，遞給他們；也同樣拿起魚來，遞給他們。 | 13And Jesus cometh and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish in like manner. |
| 14耶穌從死者中復活後，向門徒顯現，這已是第三次。 | 14This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to his disciples, after he was risen from the dead. |
| 15吃完了早飯，耶穌對西滿伯多祿說：「若望的兒子西滿，你比他們更愛我嗎？」伯多祿回答說：「主，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌就對他說：「你餵養我的羔羊。」 | 15When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs. |
| 16耶穌第二次又問他說：「若望的兒子西滿，你愛我嗎？」伯多祿回答說：「主，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌就對他說：「你牧放我的羊群。」 | 16He saith to him again: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs. |
| 17耶穌第三次問他說：「若望的兒子西滿，你愛我嗎？」伯多祿因耶穌第三次問他說：「你愛我嗎？」便憂愁起來，遂向他說「主啊！一切你都知道，你曉得我愛你。」耶穌對他說：「你餵養我的羊群。」 | 17He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep. |
| 18「我實實在在告訴你：你年少時，自己束上腰，任意往來；但到了老年，你要伸出手來，別人要給你束上腰，帶你往你不願意去的地方去。」 | 18Amen, amen I say to thee, when thou wast younger, thou didst gird thyself, and didst walk where thou wouldst. But when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and lead thee whither thou wouldst not. |
| 19耶穌說這話，是指他將以怎樣的死，去光榮天主。說完這話，又對他說：「跟隨我罷！」 | 19And this he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had said this, he saith to him: Follow me. |
| 20伯多祿轉過身來，看見耶穌所愛的那個門徒跟著，即在晚餐時靠耶穌胸膛前問：「主！是誰出賣你？」的那個門徒。 | 20Peter turning about, saw that disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said: Lord, who is he that shall betray thee? |
| 21伯多祿一看見他，就對耶穌說「主，他怎樣？」 | 21Him therefore when Peter had seen, he saith to Jesus: Lord, and what shall this man do? |
| 22耶穌向他說：「如果要他存留直到我來，與你何干？你只管跟隨我。」 | 22Jesus saith to him: So I will have him to remain till I come, what is it to thee? follow thou me. |
| 23於是在兄弟們中間傳出這話說：「那門徒不死。」其實耶穌並沒有說：他不死，而只說：「我如果要他存留直到我來，與你何干？」 | 23This saying therefore went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. And Jesus did not say to him: He should not die; but, So I will have him to remain till I come, what is it to thee? |
| 24為這些事作證，且寫下這些事的，就是這個門徒，我們知道：他的作證是真實的。 | 24This is that disciple who giveth testimony of these things, and hath written these things; and we know that his testimony is true. |
| 25耶穌所行的還有許多別的事；假使要一一寫出來，我想所要寫的書，連這世界也容不下。 | 25But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written. |
