¹稱為逾越節的無酵節近了。	¹Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the pasch, was at hand.
²司祭長及經師設法要怎樣消除耶穌，因為他們害怕百姓。	²And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put Jesus to death: but they feared the people.
³那時，撒殫進入了那名叫依斯加略的猶達斯的心中，他本是十二人中之一。	³And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve.
⁴他去同司祭長及聖殿警官商議，怎樣把耶穌交給他們。	⁴And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray him to them.
⁵他們不勝欣喜，就約定給他銀錢；	⁵And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
⁶他應允了，遂尋找機會，當群眾不在的時候，把耶穌交給他們。	⁶And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude.
⁷無酵節日到了，這一天，應宰殺逾越節羔羊。	⁷And the day of the unleavened bread came, on which it was necessary that the pasch should be killed.
⁸耶穌打發伯多祿和若望說：「你們去為我們預備要吃的逾越節晚餐罷！」	⁸And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, and prepare for us the pasch, that we may eat.
⁹他們問他說：「你願意我們在那裏預備？」	⁹But they said: Where wilt thou that we prepare?
¹⁰他回答說：「注意！你們進城，必有一個拿水罐的人與你們相遇，你們就跟着他，到他所進的那一家，	¹⁰And he said to them: Behold, as you go into the city, there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him into the house where he entereth in.
¹¹對那家的主人說：師傅問你：我同我的門徒吃逾越節晚餐的客房在那裏？	¹¹And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?
¹²那人必指給你們一間鋪設好了的寬大樓廳；你們就在那裏準備。」	¹²And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished; and there prepare.
¹³他們去了，所遇見的，正如耶穌對他們所說的一樣；他們便預備了逾越節晚餐。	¹³And they going, found as he had said to them, and made ready the pasch.
¹⁴到了時候，耶穌就入席，宗徒也同他一起。	¹⁴And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
¹⁵耶穌對他們說：「我渴望而又渴望，在我受難以前，同你們吃這一次逾越節晚餐。	¹⁵And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer.
¹⁶我告訴你們：非等到它在天主的國裏成全了，我決不再吃它。」	¹⁶For I say to you, that from this time I will not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
¹⁷耶穌接過杯來，祝謝了說：「你們把這杯拿去，彼此分着喝罷！	¹⁷And having taken the chalice, he gave thanks, and said: Take, and divide it among you:
¹⁸我告訴你們：從今以後，非等到天主的國來臨了，我決不再喝這葡萄汁了。」	¹⁸For I say to you, that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God come.
¹⁹耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，擘開，遞給他們說：「這是我的身體，為你們而捨棄的。你們應行此禮，為紀念我。」	¹⁹And taking bread, he gave thanks, and brake; and gave to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me.
²⁰晚餐以後，耶穌同樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我為你們流出的血而立的新約。」	²⁰In like manner the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you.
²¹「但是，看，負賣我者的手同我一起在桌子上。	²¹But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
²²人子固然要依照所預定的離去，但那負賣人子的人是有禍的。」	²²And the Son of man indeed goeth, according to that which is determined: but yet, woe to that man by whom he shall be betrayed.
²³他們便彼此相問，他們中那一個要做這事。	²³And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
²⁴在他們中又起了爭論：他們中數着誰最大。	²⁴And there was also a strife amongst them, which of them should seem to be the greater.
²⁵耶穌給他們說：「外邦人有君王宰制他們，那有權管治他們的，稱為恩主；	²⁵And he said to them: The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that have power over them, are called beneficent.
²⁶但你們卻不要這樣：你們中最大的，要成為最小的；為首領的，要成為服事人的。	²⁶But you not so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is the leader, as he that serveth.
²⁷是誰大呢？是坐席的，還是服事人的？不是坐席的嗎？可是我在你們中間卻像是服事人的。	²⁷For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is it not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you, as he that serveth:
²⁸在我的困難中，與我常常相偕的，就是你們。	²⁸And you are they who have continued with me in my temptations:
²⁹所以，我將王權給你們預備下，正如我父給我預備下了一樣，	²⁹And I dispose to you, as my Father hath disposed to me, a kingdom;
³⁰為使你們在我的國裏，一同在我的筵席上吃喝，並坐在寶座上，審判以色列十二支派。	³⁰That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
³¹西滿，西滿，看，撒殫求得了許可，要篩你們像篩麥子一樣。	³¹And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
³²但是我已為你祈求了，為叫你的信德不至喪失，待你回頭以後，要堅固你的兄弟。」	³²But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.
³³伯多祿向他說：「主，我已經準備同你一起下獄，同去受死。」	³³Who said to him: Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
³⁴耶穌說：「伯多祿，我告訴你：今天雞還未叫以前，你要三次說不認識我。」	³⁴And he said: I say to thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, till thou thrice deniest that thou knowest me. And he said to them:
³⁵然後又給他們說：「我以前派遣你們的時候，沒有帶錢囊、口袋及鞋，你們缺少了什麼沒有？」他們說：「什麼也沒有缺。」	³⁵When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, did you want anything?
³⁶耶穌向他們說：「可是如今，有錢囊的，應當帶着；有口袋的也一樣；沒有劍的，應當賣去自己的外衣，去買一把。	³⁶But they said: Nothing. Then said he unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword.
³⁷我告訴你們：經上所載：『他被列於叛逆之中』的這句話，必須應驗在我身上，因為那有關我的事，快要終結。」	³⁷For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end.
³⁸他們說：「主，看，這裏有兩把劍。」耶穌給他們說：「夠了！」	³⁸But they said: Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.
³⁹耶穌出來，照常往橄欖山去，門徒也跟他去了。	³⁹And going out, he went, according to his custom, to the mount of Olives. And his disciples also followed him.
⁴⁰到了那地方，耶穌便給他們說：「你們應當祈禱，免得陷於誘惑。」	⁴⁰And when he was come to the place, he said to them: Pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
⁴¹遂離開他們，約有投石那麼遠，屈膝祈禱，	⁴¹And he was withdrawn away from them a stone's cast; and kneeling down, he prayed,
⁴²說：「父啊！你如果願意，請給我免去這杯罷！但不要隨我的意願，惟照你的意願成就罷！」	⁴²Saying: Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done.
⁴³有一位天使，從天上顯現給他，加強他的力量。	⁴³And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed the longer.
⁴⁴他在極度恐慌中，祈禱越發懇切；他的汗如同血珠滴在地上。	⁴⁴And his sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.
⁴⁵他從祈禱中起來，到門徒那裏，看見他們都因憂悶睡着了，	⁴⁵And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow.
⁴⁶就給他們說：「你們怎麼睡覺呢？起來祈禱罷！免得陷於誘惑。」	⁴⁶And he said to them: Why sleep you? arise, pray, lest you enter into temptation.
⁴⁷耶穌還說話的時候，來了一群人，那十二人之一，名叫猶達斯的，走在他們前面；他走近了耶穌，要口親他。	⁴⁷As he was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus, for to kiss him.
⁴⁸耶穌給他說：「猶達斯，你用口親來負賣人子嗎？」	⁴⁸And Jesus said to him: Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?
⁴⁹耶穌左右的人一見要發生的事，就說：「主，我們可以用劍砍嗎？」	⁴⁹And they that were about him, seeing what would follow, said to him: Lord, shall we strike with the sword?
⁵⁰他們中有一個人砍了大司祭的僕人，把他的右耳削了下來。	⁵⁰And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
⁵¹耶穌說道：「至此為止！」就摸了摸那人的耳朵，治好了他。	⁵¹But Jesus answering, said: Suffer ye thus far. And when he had touched his ear, he healed him.
⁵²耶穌對那些來到他跟前的司祭長，和聖殿警官並長老說：「你們拿着刀劍棍棒出來，好像對付強盜嗎？	⁵²And Jesus said to the chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and the ancients, that were come unto him: Are ye come out, as it were against a thief, with swords and clubs?
⁵³我天天同你們在聖殿裏的時候，你們沒有下手拿我；但現在是你們的時候，是黑暗的權勢！」	⁵³When I was daily with you in the temple, you did not stretch forth your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
⁵⁴他們既拿住耶穌，就帶着解到大司祭的住宅。伯多祿遠遠地跟着。	⁵⁴And apprehending him, they led him to the high priest's house. But Peter followed afar off.
⁵⁵他們在庭院中間生了火，一起環坐，伯多祿也坐在他們中間。	⁵⁵And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were sitting about it, Peter was in the midst of them.
⁵⁶有一個使女看見他面對火光坐着，便定睛注視他說：「這個人也是同他一起的。」	⁵⁶Whom when a certain servant maid had seen sitting at the light, and had earnestly beheld him, she said: This man also was with him.
⁵⁷伯多祿否認說：「女人，我不認識他。」	⁵⁷But he denied him, saying: Woman, I know him not.
⁵⁸過了不久，另一個人看見他說：「你也是他們中的。」伯多祿說：「你這個人！我不是。」	⁵⁸And after a little while, another seeing him, said: Thou also art one of them. But Peter said: O man, I am not.
⁵⁹約隔一個時辰，又有一個人肯定說：「這個人，確是同他一起的，因為他是加里肋亞人。」	⁵⁹And after the space, as it were of one hour, another certain man affirmed, saying: Of a truth, this man was also with him; for he is also a Galilean.
⁶⁰伯多祿說：「你這個人！我不懂你說的。」他還說話的時候，雞便叫了。	⁶⁰And Peter said: Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, as he was yet speaking, the cock crew.
⁶¹主轉過身來，看了看伯多祿；伯多祿就想起主對他說的話來：「今天雞叫以前，你要三次不認我。」	⁶¹And the Lord turning looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, as he had said: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
⁶²伯多祿一到外面，就悽慘地哭起來了。	⁶²And Peter going out, wept bitterly.
⁶³那些羈押耶穌的人戲弄他、打他；	⁶³And the men that held him, mocked him, and struck him.
⁶⁴又蒙起他來，問他說：「你猜一猜：是誰打你？」	⁶⁴And they blindfolded him, and smote his face. And they asked him, saying: Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?
⁶⁵他們還說了許多別的侮辱他的話。	⁶⁵And blaspheming, many other things they said against him.
⁶⁶天一亮，民間長老及司祭長並經師集合起來，把耶穌帶到他們的公議會裏，	⁶⁶And as soon as it was day, the ancients of the people, and the chief priests and scribes, came together; and they brought him into their council, saying: If thou be the Christ, tell us.
⁶⁷說：「如果你是默西亞，就告訴我們罷！」耶穌回答他們說：「即便我告訴你們，你們也不會相信。	⁶⁷And he saith to them: If I shall tell you, you will not believe me.
⁶⁸如果我問，你們也決不回答。	⁶⁸And if I shall also ask you, you will not answer me, nor let me go.
⁶⁹從今以後，人子要坐在大能者天主的右邊。」	⁶⁹But hereafter the Son of man shall be sitting on the right hand of the power of God.
⁷⁰眾人於是說：「那麼，你就是天主子了？」耶穌對他們說：「你們說了，我就是。」	⁷⁰Then said they all: Art thou then the Son of God? Who said: You say that I am.
⁷¹他們說：「我們何必還需要見證呢？我們親自從他的口中聽見了。」	⁷¹And they said: What need we any further testimony? for we ourselves have heard it from his own mouth.
