¹一週的第一天，天還很早，婦女們便攜帶預備下的香料，來到墳墓那裏，	¹And on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
²見石頭已由墓穴滾開了。	²And they found the stone rolled back from the sepulchre.
³她們進去，不見了主耶穌的遺體。	³And going in, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
⁴她們正為此事疑慮的時候，忽然有兩個人，穿着耀目的衣服，站在她們身邊。	⁴And it came to pass, as they were astonished in their mind at this, behold, two men stood by them, in shining apparel.
⁵她們都害怕，遂把臉垂向地上，那兩個人對她們說：「你們為什麼在死人中找活人呢？	⁵And as they were afraid, and bowed down their countenance towards the ground, they said unto them: Why seek you the living with the dead?
⁶他不在這裏了，他已復活了。你們應當記得：他還在加里肋亞時，怎樣告訴過你們，	⁶He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spoke unto you, when he was in Galilee,
⁷說：人子必須被交付於罪人之手，被釘在十字架上，並在第三日復活。」	⁷Saying: The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
⁸她們遂想起了他的話，	⁸And they remembered his words.
⁹從墳墓那裏回去，把這一切事報告給那十一門徒及其餘的眾人，	⁹And going back from the sepulchre, they told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.
¹⁰她們是瑪利亞瑪達肋納及約安納和雅各伯的母親瑪利亞；其餘同她們一起的婦女，也把這些事報告給宗徒。	¹⁰And it was Mary Magdalen, and Joanna, and Mary of James, and the other women that were with them, who told these things to the apostles.
¹¹但婦女們的這些話，在他們看來，好像是無稽之談，不敢相信。	¹¹And these words seemed to them as idle tales; and they did not believe them.
¹²伯多祿卻起來跑到墳墓那裏，屈身向裏窺看，只見有殮布，就走了，心裏驚異所發生的事。	¹²But Peter rising up, ran to the sepulchre, and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths laid by themselves; and went away wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
¹³就在那一天，他們中，有兩個人往一個村莊去，村名厄瑪烏，離耶路撒冷約六十「斯塔狄」。	¹³And behold, two of them went, the same day, to a town which was sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, named Emmaus.
¹⁴他們彼此談論所發生的一切事。	¹⁴And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
¹⁵正談話討論的時候，耶穌親自走近他們，與他們同行。	¹⁵And it came to pass, that while they talked and reasoned with themselves, Jesus himself also drawing near, went with them.
¹⁶他們的眼睛卻被阻止住了，以致認不出他來。	¹⁶But their eyes were held, that they should not know him.
¹⁷耶穌對他們說：「你們走路，彼此談論的是些什麼事？」他們就站住，面帶愁容。	¹⁷And he said to them: What are these discourses that you hold one with another as you walk, and are sad?
¹⁸一個名叫克羅帕的，回答他說：「獨有你在耶路撒冷作客，不知道在那裏這幾天所發生的事嗎？」	¹⁸And the one of them, whose name was Cleophas, answering, said to him: Art thou only a stranger to Jerusalem, and hast not known the things that have been done there in these days?
¹⁹耶穌問他們說：「什麼事？」他們回答說：「就是有關納匝肋人耶穌的事。他本是一位先知，在天主及眾百姓前，行事說話都有權力。	¹⁹To whom he said: What things? And they said: Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, mighty in work and word before God and all the people;
²⁰我們的司祭長及首領竟解送了他，判了他死罪，釘他在十字架上。	²⁰And how our chief priests and princes delivered him to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
²¹我們原指望他就是那要拯救以色列的。可是──此外還有：這些事發生到今天，已是第三天了。	²¹But we hoped, that it was he that should have redeemed Israel: and now besides all this, today is the third day since these things were done.
²²我們中有幾個婦女驚嚇了我們；她們清早到了墳墓那裏，	²²Yea and certain women also of our company affrighted us, who before it was light, were at the sepulchre,
²³沒有看見他的遺體，回來說她們見了天使顯現，天使說他復活了。	²³And not finding his body, came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who say that he is alive.
²⁴我們中也有幾個到過墳墓那裏，所遇見的事，如同婦女們所說的一樣，但是沒有看見他。」	²⁴And some of our people went to the sepulchre, and found it so as the women had said, but him they found not.
²⁵耶穌於是對他們說：「唉！無知的人哪！為信先知們所說的一切話，你們的心竟是這般遲鈍！	²⁵Then he said to them: O foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all things which the prophets have spoken.
²⁶默西亞不是必須受這些苦難，纔進入他的光榮嗎？	²⁶Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and so to enter into his glory?
²⁷他於是從梅瑟及眾先知開始，把全部《經書》論及他的話，都給他們解釋了。	²⁷And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures, the things that were concerning him.
²⁸當他們臨近了他們要去的村莊時，耶穌裝作還要前行。	²⁸And they drew nigh to the town, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go farther.
²⁹他們強留他說：「請同我們一起住下罷！因為快到晚上，天已垂暮了。」耶穌就進去，同他們住下。	²⁹But they constrained him; saying: Stay with us, because it is towards evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in with them.
³⁰當耶穌與他們坐下吃飯的時候，就拿起餅來，祝福了，擘開，遞給他們。	³⁰And it came to pass, whilst he was at table with them, he took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them.
³¹他們的眼睛開了，這纔認出耶穌來；但他卻由他們眼前隱沒了。	³¹And their eyes were opened, and they knew him: and he vanished out of their sight.
³²他們就彼此說：「當他在路上與我們談話，給我們講解《聖經》的時候，我們的心不是火熱的嗎？」	³²And they said one to the other: Was not our heart burning within us, whilst he spoke in this way, and opened to us the scriptures?
³³他們遂即動身，返回耶路撒冷，遇見那十一門徒及他們一起的人，正聚在一起，	³³And rising up, the same hour, they went back to Jerusalem: and they found the eleven gathered together, and those that were staying with them,
³⁴彼此談論說：「主真復活了，並顯現給西滿了！」	³⁴Saying: The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
³⁵二人就把在路上的事，及在分餅時，他們怎樣認出了耶穌，述說了一遍。	³⁵And they told what things were done in the way; and how they knew him in the breaking of the bread.
³⁶他們正談論這些事的時候，耶穌立在他們中間，向他們說：「願你們平安！」	³⁶Now whilst they were speaking these things, Jesus stood in the midst of them, and saith to them: Peace be to you; it is I, fear not.
³⁷眾人害怕起來，想是見了鬼神。	³⁷But they being troubled and frightened, supposed that they saw a spirit.
³⁸耶穌向他們說：「你們為什麼恐惶？為什麼心裏起了疑慮？	³⁸And he said to them: Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
³⁹你們看看我的手，我的腳，分明是我自己。你們摸摸我，應該知道：鬼神是沒有肉軀和骨頭的，如同你們看我，卻是有的。」	³⁹See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; handle, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me to have.
⁴⁰說了這話，就把手和腳伸給他們看。	⁴⁰And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and feet.
⁴¹他們由於歡喜，還是不敢信，只是驚訝；耶穌向他們說：「你們這裏有什麼吃的沒有？」	⁴¹But while they yet believed not, and wondered for joy, he said: Have you any thing to eat?
⁴²他們便給了他一片烤魚。	⁴²And they offered him a piece of a broiled fish, and a honeycomb.
⁴³他就接過來，當他們面前吃了。	⁴³And when he had eaten before them, taking the remains, he gave to them.
⁴⁴耶穌對他們說：「我以前還同你們在一起的時候，就對你們說過這話：諸凡《梅瑟法律》、《先知》並《聖詠》上指着我所記載的話，都必須應驗。」	⁴⁴And he said to them: These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
⁴⁵耶穌遂開啟他們的明悟，叫他們理解經書；	⁴⁵Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
⁴⁶又向他們說：「經上曾這樣記載：默西亞必須受苦，第三天要從死者中復活；	⁴⁶And he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead, the third day:
⁴⁷並且必須從耶路撒冷開始，因他的名向萬邦宣講悔改，以得罪之赦。	⁴⁷And that penance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, unto all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
⁴⁸你們就是這些事的見證人。	⁴⁸And you are witnesses of these things.
⁴⁹看，我要把我父所恩許的，遣發到你們身上；至於你們，你們應當留在這城中，直到佩戴上自高天而來的能力。」	⁴⁹And I send the promise of my Father upon you: but stay you in the city till you be endued with power from on high.
⁵⁰耶穌領他們出去，直到伯達尼附近，就舉手降福了他們。	⁵⁰And he led them out as far as Bethania: and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.
⁵¹正降福他們的時候，就離開他們，被提升天去了。	⁵¹And it came to pass, whilst he blessed them, he departed from them, and was carried up to heaven.
⁵²他們叩拜了他，皆大喜歡地返回了耶路撒冷，	⁵²And they adoring went back into Jerusalem with great joy.
⁵³常在聖殿裏稱謝天主。	⁵³And they were always in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
