| 1「那時，天國好比十個童女，拿着自己的燈，出去迎接新郎。 | 1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride. |
| 2她們中五個是糊塗的，五個是明智的。 | 2And five of them were foolish, and five wise. |
| 3糊塗的拿了燈，卻沒有隨身帶油； | 3But the five foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them: |
| 4而明智的拿了燈，並且在壺裏帶了油。 | 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps. |
| 5因為新郎遲延，她們都打盹睡着了。 | 5And the bridegroom tarrying, they all slumbered and slept. |
| 6半夜有人喊說：新郎來了，你們出來迎接罷！ | 6And at midnight there was a cry made: Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye forth to meet him. |
| 7那些童女遂都起來，裝備她們的燈。 | 7Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. |
| 8糊塗的對明智的說：把你們的油，分些給我們罷！因為我們的燈快要滅了！ | 8And the foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out. |
| 9明智的答說：怕為我們和你們都不夠，更好你們到賣油的那裏去，為自己買罷！ | 9The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. |
| 10她們去買的時候，新郎到了；那準備好了的，就同他進去，共赴婚宴；門遂關上了。 | 10Now whilst they went to buy, the bridegroom came: and they that were ready, went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut. |
| 11末後，其餘的童女也來了，說：主啊！主啊！給我們開門罷！ | 11But at last come also the other virgins, saying: Lord, Lord, open to us. |
| 12他卻答說：我實在告訴你們：我不認識你們。 | 12But he answering said: Amen I say to you, I know you not. |
| 13所以，你們該醒寤，因為你們不知道那日子，也不知道那時辰。」 | 13Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour. |
| 14「天國又如一個要遠行的人，將自己的僕人叫來，把財產托付給他們： | 14For even as a man going into a far country, called his servants, and delivered to them his goods; |
| 15按照他們的才能，一個給了五個『塔冷通』，一個給了兩個，一個給了一個；然後動身走了。 | 15And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to every one according to his proper ability: and immediately he took his journey. |
| 16那領了五個『塔冷通』的，立刻去用來營業，另外賺了五個。 | 16And he that had received the five talents, went his way, and traded with the same, and gained other five. |
| 17同樣，那領了兩個的，也賺了另外兩個。 | 17And in like manner he that had received the two, gained other two. |
| 18但是，那領了一個的，卻去掘開地，把主人的銀子藏了。 | 18But he that had received the one, going his way digged into the earth, and hid his lord's money. |
| 19過了多時，僕人的主人回來了，便與他們算賬。 | 19But after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reckoned with them. |
| 20那領了五個『塔冷通』的上前來，呈上另外五個『塔冷通』說：主啊！你曾交給我五個『塔冷通』，看，我賺了另外五個『塔冷通』。 | 20And he that had received the five talents coming, brought other five talents, saying: Lord, thou didst deliver to me five talents, behold I have gained other five over and above. |
| 21主人對他說：好！善良忠信的僕人，你既在少許事上忠信，我必委派你管理許多大事：進入你主人的福樂罷！ | 21His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant, because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. |
| 22那領了兩個『塔冷通』的也前來說：主啊！你曾交給我兩個『塔冷通』，看，我賺了另外兩個『塔冷通』。 | 22And he also that had received the two talents came and said: Lord, thou deliveredst two talents to me: behold I have gained other two. |
| 23主人對他說：好！善良忠信的僕人！你既在少許事上忠信，我必委派你管理許多大事：進入你主人的福樂罷！ | 23His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant: because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. |
| 24隨後，那領了一個『塔冷通』的也前來說：主啊！我原知道你是個刻薄的人，在你沒有下種的地方收割，在你沒有散布的地方聚斂。 | 24But he that had received the one talent, came and said: Lord, I know that thou art a hard man; thou reapest where thou hast not sown, and gatherest where thou hast not strewed. |
| 25因為我害怕，所以我去把你的『塔冷通』藏在地下；看，你的仍還給你。 | 25And being afraid I went and hid thy talent in the earth: behold here thou hast that which is thine. |
| 26主人回答說：可惡懶惰的僕人！你既知道：我在沒有下種的地方收割，在沒有散布的地方聚斂； | 26And his lord answering, said to him: Wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sow not, and gather where I have not strewed: |
| 27那麼，你就該把我的銀子，交給錢莊裏的人，待我回來時，把我連本帶利取回。 | 27Thou oughtest therefore to have committed my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received my own with usury. |
| 28所以，你們把這個『塔冷通』從他手中奪過來，給那有了十個『塔冷通』的， | 28Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath ten talents. |
| 29因為凡是有的，還要給他，叫他富裕；那沒有的，連他所有的，也要由他手中奪去。 | 29For to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: but from him that hath not, that also which he seemeth to have shall be taken away. |
| 30至於這無用的僕人，你們把他丟在外面的黑暗中，在那裏必有哀號和切齒。」 | 30And the unprofitable servant cast ye out into the exterior darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. |
| 31「當人子在自己的光榮中，與眾天使一同降來時，那時，他要坐在光榮的寶座上， | 31And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty. |
| 32一切的民族，都要聚在他面前；他要把他們彼此分開，如同牧人分開綿羊和山羊一樣： | 32And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats: |
| 33把綿羊放在自己的右邊，山羊在左邊。 | 33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. |
| 34那時，君王要對那些在他右邊的說：我父所祝福的，你們來罷！承受自創世以來，給你們預備了的國度罷！ | 34Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. |
| 35因為我餓了，你們給了我吃的；我渴了，你們給了我喝的；我作客，你們收留了我； | 35For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in； |
| 36我赤身露體，你們給了我穿的；我患病，你們看顧了我；我在監裏；你們來探望了我。 | 36Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. |
| 37那時，義人回答他說：主啊！我們什麼時候見了你饑餓而供養了你，或口渴而給了你喝的？ | 37Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink? |
| 38我們什麼時候見了你作客，而收留了你，或赤身露體而給了你穿的？ | 38And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee? |
| 39我們什麼時候見你患病，或在監裏而來探望過你？ | 39Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? |
| 40君王便回答他們說：我實在告訴你們：凡你們對我這些最小兄弟中的一個所做的，就是對我做的。 | 40And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me. |
| 41然後他又對那些在左邊的說：可咒罵的，離開我，到那給魔鬼和他的使者預備的永火裏去罷！ | 41Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. |
| 42因為我餓了，你們沒有給我吃的；我渴了，你們沒有給我喝的； | 42For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink. |
| 43我作客，你們沒有收留我；我赤身露體，你們沒有給我穿的；我患病或在監裏，你們沒有來探望我。 | 43I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me. |
| 44那時，他們也要回答說：主啊！我們幾時見了你饑餓，或口渴，或作客，或赤身露體，或有病，或坐監，而我們沒有給你效勞？ | 44Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee? |
| 45那時，君王回答他們說：我實在告訴你們：凡你們沒有給這些最小中的一個做的，便是沒有給我做。 | 45Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me. |
| 46這些人要進入永罰，而那些義人卻要進入永生。」 | 46And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting. |
