| 1厄弗辣大白冷！你在猶大郡邑中雖是最小的，但是，將由你為我出生一位統治以色列的人，他的來歷源於亙古，遠自永遠的時代。 | 1Now shalt thou be laid waste, O daughter of the robber: they have laid siege against us, with a rod shall they strike the cheek of the judge of Israel. |
| 2因此，上主必將遺棄他們，直到孕婦生產之時，那時他弟兄中的遺民必將歸來，與以色列子民團聚。 | 2AND THOU, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity. |
| 3他必卓然屹立，以上主的能力及上主他的天主之名的威權，牧放自己的羊群。他們將獲得安居，因為他必大有權勢，直達地極。 | 3Therefore will he give them up even till the time wherein she that travaileth shall bring forth: and the remnant of his brethren shall be converted to the children of Israel. |
| 4他本人將是和平！當亞述侵入我們地域，蹂躪我們領土時，必有七個牧者，八個人民首領奮起對抗。 | 4And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the height of the name of the Lord his God: and they shall be converted, for now shall he be magnified even to the ends of the earth. |
| 5他們必用刀統治亞述地，用劍管轄尼默洛得地。當亞述侵入我們地域，蹂躪我們的境域時，他必救援我們。 | 5And this man shall be our peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall set his foot in our houses: and we shall raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. |
| 6那時，雅各伯的遺民，在許多民族中，必如由上主而來的朝露，必如落於青草上的甘霖，不再期待於人，也不寄望於人子。 | 6And they shall feed the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nemrod with the spears thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our borders. |
| 7那時，雅各伯的遺民，在異民中，在許多民族中，必如獅子在森林百獸中，必如幼獅在羊群中，所經之處，必加以蹂躪摧殘，無人能夠搶救。 | 7And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as a dew from the Lord, and as drops upon the grass, which waiteth not for man, nor tarrieth for the children of men. |
| 8你的手將高舉在你敵人之上，你的一切仇敵必要滅絕。 | 8And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who when he shall go through and tread down, and take, there is none to deliver. |
| 9到那一日──上主的斷語──我必由你中間毀滅你的戰馬，破壞你的車輛， | 9Thy hand shall be lifted up over thy enemies, and all thy enemies shall be cut off. |
| 10毀壞你境內的城市，傾覆你的一切堡壘； | 10And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will take away thy horses out of the midst of thee, and will destroy thy chariots. |
| 11滅絕你手中的巫術，使你不再有人占卜； | 11And I will destroy the cities of thy land, and will throw down all thy strong holds, and I will take away sorceries out of thy hand, and there shall be no divinations in thee. |
| 12我必由你中間消滅你的彫像和石柱，使你不再膜拜你手製的作品； | 12And I will destroy thy graven things, and thy statues out of the midst of thee: and thou shalt no more adore the works of thy hands. |
| 13我必由你中間根除你的神柱，毀壞你的神像； | 13And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: and will crush thy cities. |
| 14對那不順服的異民，我必在盛怒激忿之下施以報復。 | 14And I will execute vengeance in wrath and in indignation among all the nations that have not given ear. |
