¹當城垣修好之後，我安了門扇，遂委派了守門者、歌詠者和肋未人。	¹Now after the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and numbered the porters and singing men, and Levites:
²以後，我委派了我的兄弟哈納尼，和堡壘長哈納尼雅，管理耶路撒冷，因為哈納尼雅是一個可信賴、敬畏天主出眾的人。	²I commanded Hanani my brother, and Hananias ruler of the house of Jerusalem, (for he seemed as a sincere man, and one that feared God above the rest,)
³我命他們說：「耶路撒冷的門，不到太陽發暖不准開；太陽還未落時，就要關門上閂！守衛當由耶路撒冷的居民中指派，各按自己的班次，各在自己的屋前守衛。」	³And I said to them: Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened till the sun be hot. And while they were yet standing by, the gates were shut, and barred: and I set watchmen of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one by their courses, and every man over against his house.
⁴那時城市寬闊廣大，但城中居民稀少，房舍還沒有建築。	⁴And the city was very wide and great, and the people few in the midst thereof, and the houses were not built.
⁵我的天主使我立意，召集有權勢的人、官長和民眾，要他們來登記。我發現了一冊初次由充軍歸來的人的族譜，上面有這樣的記載：	⁵But God had put in my heart, and I assembled the princes and magistrates, and common people, to number them: and I found a book of the number of them who came up at first, and therein it was found written:
⁶以下是由被擄充軍返回本省的子民的人中，即當初被巴比倫王拿步高，擄往巴比倫去的人中，回了耶路撒冷和猶大，各本城的人。	⁶These are the children of the province, who came up from the captivity of them that had been carried away, whom Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned into Judea, every one into his own city.
⁷他們是同則魯巴貝耳、耶叔亞、乃赫米雅、色辣雅、辣阿米雅、納哈瑪尼、摩爾德開、彼耳商、米斯帕勒特、彼革外、勒洪和巴阿納，一起回來的。	⁷Who came with Zorobabel, Josue, Nehemias, Azarias, Raamias, Nahamani, Mardochai, Belsam, Mespharath, Begoia, Nahum, Baana.
⁸以色列民男子的數目如下：	⁸The number of the men of the people of Israel:
⁹帕洛士的子孫，二千一百七十二名；	⁹The children of Pharos, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.
¹⁰舍法提雅的子孫，三百七十二名;	¹⁰The children of Sephatia, three hundred seventy-two.
¹¹阿辣黑的子孫，六百五十二名；	¹¹The children of Area, six hundred fifty-two.
¹²帕哈特摩阿布的子孫，即耶叔亞和約阿布的子孫，二千八百一十八名；	¹²The children of Phahath Moab of the children of Josue and Joab, two thousand eight hundred eighteen.
¹³厄藍的子孫，一千二百五十四名；	¹³The children of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
¹⁴匝突的子孫，八百四十五名；	¹⁴The children of Zethua, eight hundred forty-five.
¹⁵匝開的子孫，七百六十名；	¹⁵The children of Zachai, seven hundred sixty.
¹⁶彼奴依的子孫，六百四十八名；	¹⁶The children of Bannui, six hundred forty-eight.
¹⁷貝拜的子孫，六百二十八名；	¹⁷The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight.
¹⁸阿次加得的子孫，二千三百二十二名；	¹⁸The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two.
¹⁹阿多尼幹的子孫，六百六十七名；	¹⁹The children of Adonicam, six hundred sixty-seven.
²⁰彼革外的子孫，二千零六十七名；	²⁰The children of Beguai, two thousand sixty-seven.
²¹阿丁的子孫，六百五十五名；	²¹The children of Adin, six hundred fifty-five.
²²阿特爾的子孫，即希則克雅的子孫，九十八名；	²²The children of Ater, children of Hezechias, ninety-eight.
²³哈雄的子孫，三百二十八名；	²³The children of Hasem, three hundred twenty-eight.
²⁴貝宰的子孫，三百二十四名；	²⁴The children of Besai, three hundred twenty-four.
²⁵哈黎夫的子孫，一百一十二名;	²⁵The children of Hareph, a hundred and twelve.
²⁶基貝紅的子孫，九十五名；	²⁶The children of Gabaon, ninety-five.
²⁷白冷人和納托法人，共一百八十八名；	²⁷The children of Bethlehem, and Netupha, a hundred eighty-eight.
²⁸阿納托特人，一百二十八名；	²⁸The men of Anathoth, a hundred twenty-eight.
²⁹貝特阿次瑪委特人，四十二名；	²⁹The men of Bethazmoth, forty-two.
³⁰克黎雅特耶阿陵人、革非辣人和貝厄洛特人，共七百四十三名；	³⁰The men of Cariathiarim, Cephira, and Beroth, seven hundred forty-three.
³¹辣瑪人和革巴人，共六百二十一名；	³¹The men of Rama and Geba, six hundred twenty-one.
³²米革瑪斯人，一百二十二名；	³²The men of Machmas, a hundred twenty-two.
³³貝特耳和哈依人，共一百二十三名；	³³The men of Bethel and Hai, a hundred twenty-three.
³⁴乃波人，五十二名；	³⁴The men of the other Nebo, fifty-two.
³⁵另一厄藍的子孫，一千二百五十四名；	³⁵The men of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
³⁶哈陵的子孫，三百二十名；	³⁶The children of Harem, three hundred and twenty.
³⁷耶里哥人，三百四十五名；	³⁷The children of Jericho, three hundred forty-five.
³⁸羅得人、哈狄得人和敖諾人，共七百二十一名；	³⁸The children of Led, of Hadid and One, seven hundred twenty-one.
³⁹色納阿人，三千九百三十名。	³⁹The children of Senaa, three thousand nine hundred thirty.
⁴⁰司祭：有耶達雅的子孫，即耶叔亞的家族，九百七十三名；	⁴⁰The priests: the children of Idaia in the house of Josue, nine hundred and seventy-three.
⁴¹依默爾的子孫，一千零五十二名；	⁴¹The children of Emmer, one thousand fifty-two.
⁴²帕市胡爾的子孫，一千二百四十七名；	⁴²The children of Phashur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.
⁴³哈陵的子孫，一千零一十七名。	⁴³The children of Arem, one thousand and seventeen. The Levites:
⁴⁴肋未人：曷達委雅的後裔，耶叔亞和卡德米耳的子孫，七十四名。歌詠者：阿撒夫的子孫，一百四十八名；	⁴⁴The children of Josue and Cedmihel, the sons of Oduia, seventy-four. The singing men:
⁴⁵門丁有沙隆的子孫，阿特爾的子孫，塔耳孟的子孫，阿谷布的子孫，哈提達的子孫，芍拜的子孫，共一百三十八名。	⁴⁵The children of Asaph, a hundred forty-eight.
⁴⁶獻身者：有漆哈的子孫，哈穌法的子孫，塔巴敖特的子孫，	⁴⁶The porters: the children of Sellum, the children of Ater, the children of Telmon, the children of Accub, the children of Hatita, the children of Sobai: a hundred thirty-eight.
⁴⁷刻洛斯的子孫，息阿的子孫，帕冬的子孫，	⁴⁷The Nathinites: the children of Soha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tebbaoth,
⁴⁸肋巴納的子孫，哈加巴的子孫，沙耳麥的子孫，	⁴⁸The children of Ceros, the children of Siaa, the children of Phadon, the children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Selmai,
⁴⁹哈南的子孫，基德耳的子孫，加哈爾的子孫，	⁴⁹The children of Hanan, the children of Geddel, the children of Gaher,
⁵⁰勒阿雅的子孫，勒斤的子孫，乃科達的子孫，	⁵⁰The children of Raaia, the children of Rasin, the children of Necoda,
⁵¹加倉的子孫，烏匝的子孫，帕色亞的子孫，	⁵¹The children of Gezem, the children of Asa, the children of Phasea,
⁵²貝賽的子孫，默烏寧的子孫，乃非心的子孫，	⁵²The children of Besai, the children of Munim, the children of Nephussim,
⁵³巴刻步克的子孫，哈谷法的子孫，哈爾胡爾的子孫，	⁵³The children of Bacbuc, the children of Hacupha, the children of Harhur,
⁵⁴巴茲里特的子孫，默希達的子孫，哈爾沙的子孫，	⁵⁴The children of Besloth, the children of Mahida, the children of Harsa,
⁵⁵巴爾科斯的子孫，息色辣的子孫，塔瑪赫的子孫，	⁵⁵The children of Bercos, the children of Sisara, the children of Thema,
⁵⁶乃漆亞的子孫和哈提法的子孫。	⁵⁶The children of Nasia, the children of Hatipha,
⁵⁷撒羅滿的僕役的子孫：有索泰的子孫，索費勒特的子孫，培黎達的子孫，	⁵⁷The children of the servants of Solomon, the children of Sothai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Pharida,
⁵⁸雅阿拉的子孫，達爾孔的子孫，基德耳的子孫，	⁵⁸The children of Jahala, the children of Darcon, the children of Jeddel,
⁵⁹舍法提雅的子孫，哈提耳的子孫，頗革勒特責巴因的子孫和阿孟的子孫。	⁵⁹The children of Saphatia, the children of Hatil, the children of Phochereth, who was born of Sabaim, the son of Amon.
⁶⁰所有獻身者和撒羅滿的僕役的子孫，共計三百九十二名。	⁶⁰All the Nathinites, and the children of the servants of Solomon, three hundred ninety-two.
⁶¹以下這些人，是由特耳默拉、特耳哈爾沙、革魯布、阿丹和依默爾上來，而不能說出自己的家族和族系，是否出自以色列的：	⁶¹And these are they that came up from Telmela, Thelharsa, Cherub, Addon, and Emmer: and could not shew the house of their fathers, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
⁶²德拉雅的子孫，托彼雅的子孫，和乃科達的子孫，共計六百四十二人。	⁶²The children of Dalaia, the children of Tobia, the children of Necoda, six hundred forty-two.
⁶³司祭中：有哈巴雅的子孫，哈科茲的子孫和巴爾齊來的子孫。──巴爾齊來娶了基肋阿得人巴爾齊來的女兒為妻，也取了他的名字。	⁶³And of the priests, the children of Habia, the children of Accos, the children of Berzellai, who took a wife of the daughters of Berzellai the Galaadite, and he was called by their name.
⁶⁴他們查考登記的族譜，卻沒有找到自己的名字，所以他們由司祭中被革除了。	⁶⁴These sought their writing in the record, and found it not: and they were cast out of the priesthood.
⁶⁵省長指令他們，不准他們享用至聖之物，直到有位大司祭，帶着「烏陵」和「突明」來解決。	⁶⁵And Athersatha said to them, that they should not eat of the holies of holies, until there stood up a priest learned and skillful.
⁶⁶全會眾共計四萬二千三百六十人，	⁶⁶All the multitude as it were one man, forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
⁶⁷僕婢七千三百三十七人在外；還有歌詠的男女二百四十五名。	⁶⁷Beside their menservants and womenservants, who were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and among them singing men, and singing women, two hundred forty-five.
⁶⁸此外，還有駱駝四百三十五匹，驢六千七百二十匹。	⁶⁸Their horses, seven hundred thirty-six: their mules two hundred forty-five:
⁶⁹有些族長捐獻了建築費。省長獻了一千金「達理克」，盤子五十個，司祭長衣五百三十件，作為基金。	⁶⁹Their camels, four hundred thirty-five, their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
⁷⁰另一些族長納了二萬金「達理克」，二千二百銀「米乃」，作為建築的基金。	⁷⁰And some of the heads of the families gave unto the work. Athersatha gave into the treasure a thousand drama of gold, fifty bowls, and five hundred and thirty garments for priests.
⁷¹其餘民眾捐獻的，共計二萬金「達理克」，二千銀「米乃」，司祭長衣六十七件。	⁷¹And some of the heads of families gave to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drama of gold, and two thousand two hundred pounds of silver.
⁷²司祭、肋未人、門丁、歌詠者、獻身者和全以色列，各住在本城內。到了七月，當時以色列子民還各在本城裏。	⁷²And that which the rest of the people gave, was twenty thousand drama of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven garments for priests.
⁷³	⁷³And the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singing men, and the rest of the common people, and the Nathinites, and all Israel dwelt in their cities.
