若望默示錄	Revelation
¹耶穌基督的啟示，是天主賜給他，叫他把那些必須快要發生的事，指示給自己的僕人們；他遂打發天使，告訴自己的僕人若望；	¹The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to make known to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass: and signified, sending by his angel to his servant John,
²若望便為天主的話和為耶穌基督作了見證，即對他所見到的一切作了證。	²Who hath given testimony to the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, what things soever he hath seen.
³那誦讀和那些聽了這預言，而又遵行書中所記載的，是有福的！因為時期已臨近了。	³Blessed is he, that readeth and heareth the words of this prophecy; and keepeth those things which are written in it; for the time is at hand.
⁴若望致書給亞細亞的七個教會：願恩寵與平安由那今在、昔在及將來永在者，由在他寶座的七神，	⁴John to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace from him that is, and that was, and that is to come, and from the seven spirits which are before his throne,
⁵並由那原為忠實的見證，死者中的首生者，和地上萬王的元首耶穌基督賜與你們。願光榮與權能歸於那愛我們，並以自己的血解救我們脫離我們的罪過，	⁵And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
⁶使我們成為國度，成為侍奉他的天主和父的司祭的那位，直到萬世萬代。阿們。	⁶And hath made us a kingdom, and priests to God and his Father, to him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.
⁷看，他乘着雲彩降來，眾目都要瞻望他，連那些刺透了他的人，也要瞻望他，地上的各種族都要哀悼他。的確這樣。阿們。	⁷Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also that pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall bewail themselves because of him. Even so. Amen.
⁸「我是『阿耳法』和『敖默加』」，那今在、昔在及將來永在的全能者上主天主這樣說。	⁸I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
⁹我若望，你們的弟兄，並在耶穌內與你們共患難，同王權和同忍耐的，為天主的話，並為給耶穌作證，曾到了一座名叫帕特摩的海島上。	⁹I John, your brother and your partner in tribulation, and in the kingdom, and patience in Christ Jesus, was in the island, which is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.
¹⁰在一個主日上，我在神魂超拔中，聽見在我背後有一個大聲音，好似號角的聲音，	¹⁰I was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
¹¹說：「將你所聽見的寫在書上，送到厄弗所、斯米納、培爾加摩、提雅提辣、撒爾德、非拉德非雅和勞狄刻雅七個教會。」	¹¹Saying: What thou seest, write in a book, and send to the seven churches which are in Asia, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamus, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
¹²我就轉過身來，要看看那同我說話的聲音；我一轉身就看見了七盞金燈臺，	¹²And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks:
¹³在燈臺當中有似人子的一位，身穿長衣，胸間佩有金帶。	¹³And in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, one like to the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
¹⁴他的頭和頭髮皓白，有如潔白的羊毛，又如同雪；他的眼睛有如火燄；	¹⁴And his head and his hairs were white, as white wool, and as snow, and his eyes were as a flame of fire,
¹⁵他的腳相似在烈窰中燒煉的光銅；他的聲音有如大水的響聲；	¹⁵And his feet like unto fine brass, as in a burning furnace. And his voice as the sound of many waters.
¹⁶他的右手持有七顆星；從他的口中發出一把雙刃的利劍；他的面容有如發光正烈的太陽。	¹⁶And he had in his right hand seven stars. And from his mouth came out a sharp two edged sword: and his face was as the sun shineth in his power.
¹⁷我一看見他，就跌倒在他腳前，有如死人，他遂把右手按在我身上說：「不要害怕！我是元始，我是終末，	¹⁷And when I had seen him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying: Fear not. I am the First and the Last,
¹⁸我是生活的；我曾死過，可是，看，我如今卻活着，一直到萬世萬代；我持有死亡和陰府的鑰匙，	¹⁸And alive, and was dead, and behold I am living for ever and ever, and have the keys of death and of hell.
¹⁹所以你應把你看見的事，現今的，以及這些事以後要發生的事，都寫下來。	¹⁹Write therefore the things which thou hast seen, and which are, and which must be done hereafter.
²⁰至於你看見在我右手中的七顆星，和七盞金燈臺的奧義，就是：七顆星是指七個教會的天使，七盞燈臺是指七個教會。」	²⁰The mystery of the seven stars, which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. And the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.
