¹這些事以後，我看見天上有一個門開了，並且有我初次聽見，那同我說話像似號角的聲音，說：「你上到這裏來，我要指示給你，這些事以後必須要發生的事。」	¹After these things I looked, and behold a door was opened in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, as it were, of a trumpet speaking with me, said: Come up hither, and I will shew thee the things which must be done hereafter.
²我立刻神魂超拔了。看，在天上安置了一個寶座，有一位坐在那寶座上的。	²And immediately I was in the spirit: and behold there was a throne set in heaven, and upon the throne one sitting.
³那位坐着的，看來好似水蒼玉和紅瑪瑙；圍繞寶座的虹霓，看來好似翡翠。	³And he that sat, was to the sight like the jasper and the sardine stone; and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
⁴寶座周圍還有二十四個寶座，寶座上坐着二十四位長老：身穿白衣頭戴金冠。	⁴And round about the throne were four and twenty seats; and upon the seats, four and twenty ancients sitting, clothed in white garments, and on their heads were crowns of gold.
⁵有閃電、響聲和雷霆從那寶座發出來；在寶座前還燃着七個火炬，那就是天主的七神。	⁵And from the throne proceeded lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there were seven lamps burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.
⁶寶座前面有如玻璃海，彷彿水晶；在寶座每一面當中，在寶座周圍，有四個活物，前後都滿了眼睛：	⁶And in the sight of the throne was, as it were, a sea of glass like to crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures, full of eyes before and behind.
⁷第一個活物像獅子，第二個活物像牛犢，第三個活物面貌像人，第四個活物像飛鷹。	⁷And the first living creature was like a lion: and the second living creature like a calf: and the third living creature, having the face, as it were, of a man: and the fourth living creature was like an eagle flying.
⁸那四個活物，個個都有六個翅膀，周圍內外都滿了眼睛，日夜不停地說：「聖！聖！聖！上主，全能的天主，是昔在、今在及將來永在者。」	⁸And the four living creatures had each of them six wings; and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.
⁹每逢那些活物將光榮、尊威和頌謝歸於那坐在寶座上的，萬世萬代的永生者時，	⁹And when those living creatures gave glory, and honour, and benediction to him that sitteth on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever;
¹⁰二十四位長老就俯伏在坐於寶座的那位前，朝拜那萬世萬代的永生者，且把他們的榮冠投在寶座前說：	¹⁰The four and twenty ancients fell down before him that sitteth on the throne, and adored him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
¹¹「上主，我們的天主！你是堪受光榮、尊威和權能的，因為你創造了萬物，萬物都是因了你的旨意而存在，而造成的。」	¹¹Thou art worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory, and honour, and power: because thou hast created all things; and for thy will they were, and have been created.
