| 1碧空青天，是高空的美麗；蒼天的景色，光耀壯觀。 | 1The firmament on high is his beauty, the beauty of heaven with its glorious shew. |
| 2太陽升出，發散熱氣。──的確是至高者奇異的化工！ | 2The sun when he appeareth shewing forth at his rising, an admirable instrument, the work of the most High. |
| 3中午的太陽烘熱大地，誰能抵抗它的炎熱？人吹火爐，使它生熱； | 3At noon he burneth the earth, and who can abide his burning heat? As one keeping a furnace in the works of heat: |
| 4太陽的熱，比火爐更強三倍：它燒毀山岳，放射火光，眩耀人目。 | 4The sun three times as much, burneth the mountains, breathing out fiery vapours, and shining with his beams, he blindeth the eyes. |
| 5創造太陽的上主是偉大的，太陽依照他的號令，急速運行。 | 5Great is the Lord that made him, and at his words he hath hastened his course. |
| 6月亮，這指明時節的永久標誌，常是準時的； | 6And the moon in all in her season, is for a declaration of times and a sign of the world. |
| 7月亮，這圓而復缺的光體，節期由它來劃定， | 7From the moon is the sign of the festival day, a light that decreaseth in her perfection. |
| 8月份因它而得名；它由缺而盈，極其微妙； | 8The month is called after her name, increasing wonderfully in her perfection. |
| 9它是高天軍旅的燈塔，在天空照耀。 | 9Being an instrument of the armies on high, shining gloriously in the Armament of heaven. |
| 10繁星的光芒，造成天空的美麗，它們是上主高天上的燦爛裝飾； | 10The glory of the stars is the beauty of heaven; the Lord enlighteneth the world on high. |
| 11它們遵照聖者的號令，執行任務，看守黑夜，總不疲倦。 | 11By the words of the holy one they shall stand in judgment, and shall never fail in their watches. |
| 12你看見虹霓，就當讚美它的創造者；它的光彩極其燦爛。 | 12Look upon the rainbow, and bless him that made it: it is very beautiful in its brightness. |
| 13它用光輝的弧形環繞天空，至高者的手，將它伸長。 | 13It encompasseth the heaven about with the circle of its glory, the hands of the most High have displayed it. |
| 14天主一命令，雪花即迅速降下；天主一決定，電光就急速閃爍。 | 14By his commandment he maketh the snow to fall apace, and sendeth forth swiftly the lightnings of his judgment. |
| 15為此，倉庫一開啟，雲霧就像群鳥飛翔而出。 | 15Through this are the treasures opened, and the clouds fly out like birds. |
| 16他以自己的大能，使雲凝結，冰雹如碎石落下。 | 16By his greatness he hath fixed the clouds, and the hailstones are broken. |
| 17他一出現，山岳動搖；他的雷聲，震撼大地； | 17At his sight shall the mountains be shaken, and at his will the south wind shall blow. |
| 18他一願意，南風吹起，北風怒號，旋風滾動。 | 18The noise of his thunder shall strike the earth, so doth the northern storm, and the whirlwind: |
| 19他使雪片飛落，有如群鳥飛下；雪片降落，又如飛蝗落下。 | 19And as the birds lighting upon the earth, he scattereth snow, and the falling thereof, is as the coming down of locusts. |
| 20它那皎潔的麗光，令人眼花目眩；雨雪霏霏，使人心中讚賞。 | 20The eye admireth at the beauty of the whiteness thereof, and the heart is astonished at the shower thereof. |
| 21天主又傾撒冰霜，彷彿是撒鹽，掩蓋大地；霜一凝結，豎立有如針尖。 | 21He shall pour frost as salt upon the earth: and when it freezeth, it shall become like the tops of thistles. |
| 22寒冷的北風一吹，整個水面都凝結成冰，彷彿使水穿上了盔甲。 | 22The cold north wind bloweth, and the water is congealed into crystal; upon every gathering together of waters it shall rest, and shall clothe the waters as a breastplate. |
| 23天主如火一樣，吞沒山岳，燒焦曠野，焚毀青草。 | 23And it shall devour the mountains, and burn the wilderness, and consume all that is green as with fire. |
| 24補救這一切災禍的，只有及時的雲霧；甘露一降，即使暑氣頓消。 | 24A present remedy of all is the speedy coming of a cloud, and a dew that meeteth it, by the heat that cometh, shall overpower it. |
| 25他一發令，風即停止；他一計議，深淵遂即沉沒，其中的島嶼於是突出。 | 25At his word the wind is still, and with his thought he appeaseth the deep, and the Lord hath planted islands therein. |
| 26航海的人，述說海中的危險，我們聽見，都感覺驚奇； | 26Let them that sail on the sea, tell the dangers thereof: and when we hear with our ears, we shall admire. |
| 27在海裏有奇特驚異的化工，有各種獸類、生物和海怪。 | 27There are great and wonderful works: a variety of beasts, and of all living things, and the monstrous creatures of whales. |
| 28依靠天主而過海的人，必能安然渡過，因為一切的事，都是依照他的號令而措施的。 | 28Through him is established the end of their journey, and by his word all things are regulated. |
| 29我們述說了許多，但總是辭不達義，總結一句：他是萬有。 | 29We shall say much, and yet shall want words: but the sum of our words is, He is all. |
| 30為頌揚他，我們能做什麼？因為他是偉大的，他超越他的一切化工。 | 30What shall we be able to do to glorify him? for the Almighty himself is above all his works. |
| 31他是可敬可畏，極其偉大的上主；他的德能是非常奇異的。 | 31The Lord is terrible, and exceeding great, and his power is admirable. |
| 32雖然你們盡力頌揚上主，但仍不能相稱他的偉大；他的莊嚴，是奇妙的。 | 32Glorify the Lord as much as ever you can, for he will yet far exceed, and his magnificence is wonderful. |
| 33當你們讚頌上主時，要盡力稱揚他，因為他超越一切的讚美。 | 33Blessing the Lord, exalt him as much as you can: for he is above all praise. |
| 34你們稱揚他，要用盡你們的力量，不要厭倦，因為你們讚揚，總不能恰如其分。 | 34When you exalt him put forth all your strength, and be not weary: for you can never go far enough. |
| 35誰見了他而能描述？誰能以他自始所應得的讚美，來讚美他？ | 35Who shall see him, and declare him? and who shall magnify him as he is from the beginning? |
| 36比這更神妙的事，還有很多，因為我們所見的，不過是他化工中的極少數。 | 36There are many things hidden from us that are greater than these: for we have seen but a few of his works. |
| 37上主造成了萬物，並賜給虔敬人智慧。 | 37But the Lord hath made all things, and to the godly he hath given wisdom. |
