格林多前書	1 Corinthians
¹弟兄們！我願意你們認清，我們先前給你們所傳報的福音，這福音你們已接受了，且在其上站穩了；	¹Let me remind you, brothers and sisters, of the Good News that I preached to you and which you received and on which you stand firm.
²假使你們照我給你們所傳報的話持守了福音，就必因這福音得救，否則，你們就白白地信了。	²By that Gospel you are saved, provided that you hold to it as I preached it. Otherwise, you will have believed in vain.
³我當日把我所領受而又傳授給你們的，其中首要的是：基督照經上記載的，為我們的罪死了，	³In the first place, I have passed on to you what I myself received: that Christ died for our sins, as Scripture says;
⁴被埋葬了，且照經上記載的，第三天復活了，	⁴that he was buried; that he was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures;
⁵並且顯現給刻法，以後顯現給那十二位；	⁵that he appeared to Cephas and then to the Twelve.
⁶此後，又一同顯現給五百多弟兄，其中多半到現在還活著，有些已經死了。	⁶Afterwards he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters together; most of them are still alive, although some have already gone to rest.
⁷隨後，顯現給雅各伯，以後，顯現給眾宗徒；	⁷Then he appeared to James and after that to all the apostles.
⁸最後，也顯現了給我這個像流產兒的人。	⁸And last of all, he appeared the most despicable of them, this is to me.
⁹我原是宗徒中最小的一個，不配稱為宗徒，因為我迫害過天主的教會。	⁹For I am the last of the apostles, and I do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the Church of God.
¹⁰然而，因天主的恩寵，我成為今日的我；天主賜給我的恩寵沒有落空，我比他們眾人更勞碌；其實不是我，而是天主的恩寵偕同我。	¹⁰Nevertheless, by the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace towards me has not been without fruit. Far from it, I have toiled more than all of them, although not I, rather the grace of God in me.
¹¹總之，不拘是我，或是他們，我們都這樣傳了，你們也都這樣信了。	¹¹Now, whether it was I or they, this we preach and this you have believed.
¹²我們既然傳報了基督已由死者中復活了，怎麼你們中還有人說：死人復活是沒有的事呢？	¹²Well, then, if Christ is preached as risen from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
¹³假如死人復活是沒有的事，基督也就沒有復活；	¹³If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised.
¹⁴假如基督沒有復活，那麼，我們的宣講便是空的，你們的信仰也是空的。	¹⁴And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is empty and our belief comes to nothing.
¹⁵此外，如果死人真不復活，我們還被視為天主的假證人，因為我們相反天主作證，說天主使基督復活了，其實並沒有使他復活，	¹⁵And we become false witnesses of God, attesting that he raised Christ, whereas he could not raise him if indeed the dead are not raised.
¹⁶因為如果死人不復活，基督也就沒有復活；	¹⁶If the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised.
¹⁷如果基督沒有復活，你們的信仰便是假的，你們還是在罪惡中。	¹⁷And if Christ has not been raised, your faith gives you nothing, and you are still in sin.
¹⁸那麼，那些在基督內死了的人，就喪亡了。	¹⁸Also those who fall asleep in Christ are lost.
¹⁹如果我們只在今生寄望於基督，我們就是眾人中最可憐的了。	¹⁹If it is only for this life that we hope in Christ, we are the most unfortunate of all people.
²⁰但是，基督從死者中實在復活了，做了死者的初果。	²⁰But no, Christ has been raised from the dead and he comes before all those who have fallen asleep.
²¹因為死亡既因一人而來，死者的復活也因一人而來；	²¹A human being brought death; a human being also brings resurrection of the dead.
²²就如在亞當內，眾人都死了，照樣，在基督內，眾人都要復活；	²²All die for being Adam's, and in Christ all will receive life.
²³不過各人要依照自己的次第：首先是為初果的基督，然後是在基督再來時屬於基督的人，	²³However, each one in his own time: first Christ, then Christ's people, when he visits them.
²⁴再後纔是結局；那時，基督將消滅一切率領者、一切掌權者和大能者，把自己的王權交於天主父。	²⁴Then the end will come, when Christ delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, after having destroyed every rule, authority and power.
²⁵因為基督必須為王，直到把一切仇敵屈伏在他的腳下。	²⁵For he must reign and put all enemies under his feet.
²⁶最後被毀滅的仇敵便是死亡；	²⁶The last enemy to be destroyed will be death.
²⁷因為天主使萬物都屈伏在他的腳下。既然說萬物都已屈伏了，顯然那使萬物屈伏於他的不在其內。	²⁷As Scripture says: God has subjected everything under his feet. When we say that everything is put under his feet, we exclude, of course, the Father who subjects everything to him.
²⁸萬物都屈伏於他以後，子自己也要屈伏於那使萬物屈服於自己的父，好叫天主成為萬物之中的萬有。	²⁸When the Father has subjected everything to him, the Son will place himself under the One who subjected everything to him. From then on, God will be all in all.
²⁹不然，那些代死人受洗的是作什麼呢？如果死人總不復活，為什麼還代他們受洗呢？	²⁹Tell me: what are these people doing who are baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead cannot be raised, why do they want to be baptized for the dead?
³⁰我們又為什麼時時冒險呢？	³⁰As for us, why do we constantly risk our life? For death is my daily companion.
³¹弟兄們，我指著我在我們的主基督耶穌內，對你們所有的榮耀，起誓說：我是天天冒死的。	³¹I say that, brothers and sisters, before you who are my pride in Christ Jesus our Lord.
³²我若只憑人的動機，當日在厄弗所與野獸搏鬥，為我有什麼益處？如果死人不復活，「我們吃喝罷！明天就要死了。」	³²Was it for human interest that I fought in Ephesus like a lion tamer? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die!
³³你們不可為人所誤：「交結惡友必敗壞善行。」你們當徹底醒悟，別再犯罪了。	³³Do not be deceived; bad theories corrupt good morals. Wake up, and do not sin,
³⁴你們中有些人實在不認識天主了：我說這話是為叫你們羞愧。	³⁴because some of you are outstandingly ignorant about God; I say this to your shame.
³⁵可是有人要說：死人將怎樣復活呢？他們將帶著什麼樣的身體回來呢？	³⁵Some of you will ask: How will the dead be raised? With what kind of body will they come?
³⁶糊塗人哪！你所播的種子若不先死了，決不得生出來；	³⁶You fools! What you sow cannot sprout unless it dies.
³⁷並且你所播種的，並不是那將要生出的形體，而是一顆赤裸的籽粒，譬如一顆麥粒，或者別的種粒；	³⁷And what you sow is not the body of the future plant but a bare grain of wheat or any other seed,
³⁸但天主隨自己的心意給它一個形體，使每個種子各有各的本體。	³⁸and God will give the appropriate body, as he gives to each seed its own body.
³⁹不是所有的肉體都是同樣的肉體：人體是一樣，獸體又是一樣，鳥體另是一樣，魚體卻又另是一樣。	³⁹Now look: not all flesh is the same; one is the flesh of human beings; another the flesh of animals, and still others the flesh of birds and of fish.
⁴⁰還有天上的物體和地上的物體：天上物體的華麗是一樣，地上物體的華麗又是一樣；	⁴⁰There are, likewise, heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the earthly bodies do not shine as do the heavenly ones.
⁴¹太陽的光輝是一樣，月亮的光輝又是一樣，星辰的光輝另是一樣；而且星辰與星辰的光輝又有分別。	⁴¹The brightness of the sun differs from the brightness of the moon and the stars, and the stars differ from one another in brightness.
⁴²死人的復活也是這樣：播種的是可朽壞的，復活起來的是不可朽壞的；	⁴²It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in decomposition; it will be raised never more to die.
⁴³播種的是可羞辱的，復活起來的是光榮的；播種的是軟弱的，復活起來的是強健的；	⁴³It is sown in humiliation, and it will be raised for Glory. It is buried in weakness, but the resurrection shall be with power. When buried it is a natural body, but it will be raised as a spiritual body.
⁴⁴播種的是屬生靈的身體，復活起來的是屬神的身體；既有屬生靈的身體，也就有屬神的身體。	⁴⁴For there shall be a spiritual body as there is at present a living body.
⁴⁵經上也這樣記載說：「第一個人亞當成了生靈」，最後的亞當成了使人生活的神。	⁴⁵Scripture says that Adam, the first human being, was given natural life; but the last Adam has become spirit that gives life.
⁴⁶但屬神的不是在先，而是屬生靈的，然後纔是屬神的。	⁴⁶The spirit does not appear first, but the natural life, and afterwards comes the spirit.
⁴⁷第一個人出於地屬於土，第二個人出於天。	⁴⁷The first man comes from the earth and is earthly, while the second one comes from heaven.
⁴⁸那屬於土的怎樣，凡屬於土的也怎樣；那屬於天上的怎樣，凡屬於天上的也怎樣。	⁴⁸As it was with the earthly one, so is it with the earthly people. As it is with Christ, so with the heavenly.
⁴⁹我們怎樣帶了那屬於土的肖像，也要怎樣帶那屬於天上的肖像。	⁴⁹This is why, after bearing the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one.
⁵⁰弟兄們，我告訴你們：肉和血不能承受天主的國，可朽壞的也不能承受不可朽壞的。	⁵⁰This I say, brothers: Flesh and blood cannot share the kingdom of God; nothing of us that is to decay can reach imperishable life.
⁵¹看，我告訴你們一件奧秘的事：我們眾人不全死亡，但我們眾人卻全要改變，	⁵¹So I want to teach you this mystery: although not all of us will die, all of us have to be transformed,
⁵²這是在頃刻眨眼之間，在末次吹號筒時發生的。的確，號筒一響，死人必要復活，成為不朽的，我們也必要改變，	⁵²in an instant, at the sound of the trumpet. You have heard of the last trumpet; then in the twinkling of an eye, the dead will be raised imperishable, while we shall be transformed.
⁵³因為這可朽壞的，必須穿上不可朽壞的；這可死的，必須穿上不可死的。	⁵³For it is necessary that our mortal and perishable being put on the life that knows neither death nor decay.
⁵⁴幾時這可朽壞的，穿上了不可朽壞的；這可死的，穿上了不可死的，那時就要應驗經上所記載的這句話：「在勝利中，死亡被吞滅了。」	⁵⁴When our perishable being puts on imperishable life, when our mortal being puts on immortality, the word of Scripture will be fulfilled: Death has been swallowed up by victory.
⁵⁵「死亡！你的勝利在那裏？死亡！你的刺在那裏？」	⁵⁵Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?
⁵⁶死亡的刺就是罪過，罪過的權勢就是法律。	⁵⁶Sin is the sting of death to kill, and the Law is what gives force to sin.
⁵⁷感謝天主賜給了我們因我們的主耶穌基督所獲得的勝利。	⁵⁷But give thanks to God who gives us the victory through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
⁵⁸所以，我親愛的弟兄，你們要堅定不移，在主的工程上該時常發憤勉力，因為你們知道，你們的勤勞在主內決不會落空。	⁵⁸So then, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast and do not be moved. Improve constantly in the work of the Lord, knowing that with him your labor is not without fruit.
