| 1所以，弟兄們，我從前對你們說話，還不能把你們當作屬神的人，只能當作屬血肉的人，當作在基督內的嬰孩。 | 1I could not, friends, speak to you as spiritual persons but as fleshly people, for you are still infants in Christ. |
| 2我給你們喝的是奶，並非飯食，因為那時你們還不能吃，就是如今你們還是不能， | 2I gave you milk and not solid food, for you were not ready for it and up to now you cannot receive it |
| 3因為你們還是屬血肉的人。你們中既有嫉妒和紛爭，你們豈不還是屬血肉的人，按照俗人的樣子行事嗎？ | 3for you are still of the flesh. As long as there is jealousy and strife, what can I say but that you are at the level of the flesh and behave like ordinary people. |
| 4這人說：「我屬保祿」，那人說：「我屬阿頗羅」：這樣，你們豈不成了俗人嗎？ | 4While one says: "I follow Paul," and the other: "I follow Apollos," what are you but people still at a human level? |
| 5其實，阿頗羅算什麼？保祿算什麼？不過只是僕役，使你們獲得信仰，每人照主所指派的而工作： | 5For what is Apollos? What is Paul? They are ministers and through them you believed, as it was given by the Lord to each of them. |
| 6我栽種，阿頗羅澆灌，然而使之生長的，卻是天主。 | 6I planted, Apollos watered the plant, but God made it grow. |
| 7可見，栽種的不算什麼，澆灌的也不算什麼，只在那使之生長的天主。 | 7So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who makes the plant grow. |
| 8所以栽種的和澆灌的原是一事，不過各人將要按自己的勞苦領受自己的賞報。 | 8The one who plants and the one who waters work to the same end, and the Lord will pay each according to their work. |
| 9我們原是天主的助手，你們是天主的莊田，是天主的建築物。 | 9We are fellow-workers with God, but you are God's field and building. |
| 10按照天主所賜給我的恩寵，我好像一個精明的建築師，奠立了根基，其他的人在上面建築；但是各人應該注意怎樣在上面建築， | 10I, as a good architect, according to the capacity given to me, I laid the foundation, and another is to build upon it. Each one must be careful how to build upon it. |
| 11因為除已奠立了的根基，即耶穌基督外，任何人不能再奠立別的根基。 | 11No one can lay a foundation other than the one which is already laid, which is Jesus Christ. |
| 12人可用金、銀、寶石、木、草、禾稭，在這根基上建築， | 12Then if someone builds with gold upon this foundation, another with silver and precious stones, or with wood, bamboo or straw, |
| 13但各人的工程將來總必顯露出來，因為主的日子要把它揭露出來；原來主的日子要在火中出現，這火要試驗各人的工程怎樣。 | 13the work of each one will be shown for what it is. The day of Judgment will reveal it, because the fire will make everything known. The fire will test the work of everyone. |
| 14在那根基上所建築的工程，若存得住，他必要獲得賞報； | 14If your work withstands the fire, you will be rewarded; |
| 15但誰的工程若被焚毀了，他就要受到損失，他自己固然可得救，可是仍像從火中經過的一樣。 | 15but if your work becomes ashes, you will pay for it. You will be saved, but it will be as if passing through fire. |
| 16你們不知道，你們是天主的宮殿，天主聖神住在你們內嗎？ | 16Do you not know that you are God's temple, and that God's Spirit abides within you? |
| 17誰若毀壞天主的宮殿，天主必要毀壞他，因為天主的宮殿是聖的，這宮殿就是你們。 | 17If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him. God's temple is holy, and you are this temple. |
| 18誰也不要自欺：你們中若有人在今世自以為是有智慧的人，該變為一個愚妄的人，為成一個有智慧的人， | 18Do not deceive yourselves. If anyone of you considers himself wise in the ways of the world, let him become a fool, so that he may become wise. |
| 19因為這世界的智慧在天主前原是愚妄。經上記載說：『他以智者的計謀捕捉智者』； | 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's eyes. To this, Scripture says: God catches the wise in their own wisdom. |
| 20又說：『上主認透智者的思念，原來都是虛幻。』 | 20It also says: The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is useless. |
| 21所以，誰也不能拿人來誇口，因為一切都是你們的： | 21Because of this, let no one become an admirer of humans, for everything belongs to you, |
| 22無論是保祿，或是阿頗羅，或是刻法，或是世界，或是生命，或是死亡，或是現在，或是將來，一切都是你們的； | 22Paul, Apollos, Cephas - life, death, the present and the future. Everything is yours, |
| 23你們卻是基督的，而基督是天主的。 | 23and you, you belong to Christ, and Christ is of God. |
