申命紀	Deuteronomy
¹以下是上主你們的天主吩咐我教給你們的誡命、法令和規則，叫你們在過河後去佔領的地內遵行，	¹These are the commandments, the norms and the laws that Yahweh, your God, has commanded me to teach you so that you may observe them in the land which is going to be yours.
²好使你和你的子子孫孫，終生日日敬畏上主你的天主，遵守我吩咐你的一切法令和誡命，使你獲享長壽。	²Fear Yahweh, observe his commandments all the days of your life and his norms that I teach you today. So also for your children and your children's children that they may live long.
³以色列！你要聽，且謹守遵行，好使你在流奶流蜜的地方，獲得幸福，人數增多，如上主你祖先的天主所許給你的。	³Listen, then, Israel, observe these commandments and put them into practice. If you do this, you will be well and you will multiply in this land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, promised you.
⁴以色列！你要聽：上主我們的天主，是唯一的上主。	⁴Listen, Israel: Yahweh, our God, is One Yahweh.
⁵你當全心、全靈、全力，愛上主你的天主。	⁵And you shall love Yahweh, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength.
⁶我今天吩咐你的這些話，你應牢記在心，	⁶Engrave on your heart the commandments that I pass on to you today.
⁷並將這些話灌輸給你的子女。不論你住在家裏，或在路上行走，或臥或立，常應講論這些話；	⁷Repeat them over and over to your children, speak of them when you are at home and when you travel, when you lie down and when you rise.
⁸又該繫在你的手上，當作標記；懸在額上，當作徽號；	⁸Brand them on your hand as a sign, and keep them always before your eyes.
⁹刻在你住宅的門框上和門扇上。	⁹Engrave them on your doorposts and on your city gates.
¹⁰上主你的天主，幾時領你進入他向你的祖先亞巴郎、依撒格和雅各伯起誓，要賜給你的地方，那裏有高大壯觀的城邑，而不是你所建造的；	¹⁰Do not forget Yahweh when he has led you into the land which he promised to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; for he will give you great and prosperous cities which you did not build,
¹¹有充滿各樣寶物的住宅，而不是你裝滿的；有蓄水池，而不是你挖掘的；有葡萄園和橄欖樹林，而不是你栽植的；──當你吃飽時，	¹¹houses filled with everything good which you did not provide, wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant. So when you have eaten and have been satisfied,
¹²你應留心，不要忘了領你由埃及地，為奴之家，出來的上主。	¹²do not forget Yahweh who brought you out from Egypt where you were enslaved.
¹³你要敬畏上主你的天主，只事奉他，只以他的名起誓。	¹³Fear Yahweh, your God, serve him and call on his Name when you have to swear an oath.
¹⁴不可追隨別的神，即你們四周民族的神，	¹⁴Do not go after other gods; do not serve any of the gods of the nations around you,
¹⁵因為在你中間的上主你的天主，是忌邪的天主，免得上主你的天主發怒，將你由地上消滅。	¹⁵because your God, who is in your midst, is a jealous God. And when he burns in anger, you shall disappear from the face of the earth.
¹⁶你們不可試探上主你們的天主，如同在瑪撒試探了他一樣。	¹⁶You shall not put Yahweh, your God, to the test, as you did in Massah.
¹⁷應謹慎遵守上主你們天主所吩咐你的誡命、教訓和法令。	¹⁷Observe the precepts, the commandments and the norms that Yahweh has commanded you.
¹⁸應做上主眼中視為正義和美善的事，使你能獲得幸福，能去佔領上主誓許與你祖先的那塊肥美的土地，	¹⁸You shall do what is right and good in the eyes of Yahweh that you may be happy and may come to possess the splendid land which he swore to your fathers
¹⁹能由你面前驅逐你的一切仇敵，如上主所應許的。	¹⁹he would give you after having destroyed all your enemies before you.
²⁰假使日後你的兒子問你說：『上主我們的天主吩咐你們的這些教訓、法令和規則，究竟有什麼意思？』	²⁰And when your child asks you one day: What are these precepts, these commandments and these norms which Yahweh has commanded us?
²¹你應對你的兒子說：『我們曾在埃及作過法郎的奴隸，上主卻以大能的手將我們由埃及領了出來。	²¹You shall answer your child: We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt, but Yahweh led us out of Egypt with prodigious deeds.
²²上主在我們的眼前，對埃及，對法郎和他全家，行了轟轟烈烈的神蹟和奇事；	²²And we have seen the great and wonderful things, the awesome marvels he has done against Pharaoh and all his people.
²³將我們從那裏領出來，領我們進入他誓許給我們的祖先，要賜給我們的土地。	²³And he took us out from there to lead us into the land which he promised to our fathers.
²⁴那時，上主吩咐我們遵行這一切法令，為敬畏上主我們的天主，為使我們時時得享幸福，得保生命，就如今日一樣。	²⁴Yahweh has commanded us to put into practice all these precepts and to fear him, our God. Because of this, we are happy and alive today,
²⁵我們在上主我們的天主面前，照他所吩咐我們的，謹慎遵行這一切誡命，就是我們的義德。』	²⁵and we shall be perfect in his eyes if we observe and practice these commandments as he has told us to do.
