| 1上主的話傳給我說： | 1The word of Yahweh came to me, |
| 2「人子，你要面向色依爾山，講預言攻斥它， | 2"Son of man, set your face against the mountain of Seir, prophesy against it |
| 3對它說：吾主上主這樣說：色依爾山啊！看，我要攻擊你，伸手打擊你，使你變成沙漠和荒野。 | 3and say: Thus says Yahweh: I come to strike you, mountain of Seir! I have stretched out my hand against you and I will make of you a mournful solitude. |
| 4我要使你的城市變成廢墟，你將成為沙漠：如此，你便承認我是上主。 | 4I will reduce your towns to ruins, make you a desolation and you shall know that I am Yahweh. |
| 5因為在以色列子民遭難時，在他們罪惡滿盈時，你懷着永不忘的仇恨將他們交於刀劍： | 5I know your long-standing enmity and how you handed over the people of Israel to the sword in the day of their disaster, when their sins reached an end. |
| 6為此，我指着我的生命起誓──吾主上主的斷語──你既仇恨了血，血也必迫害你。 | 6Because of that, as I live, word of Yahweh, I intend to give you over to bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you. |
| 7我必使色依爾山成為沙漠和荒野，由其中滅絕來往經過的人。 | 7I will make of the mountain of Seir a mournful solitude and destroy all who come and go there. |
| 8我要使你的群山、丘陵、山谷和溪澗，堆滿傷亡的人，使刀劍傷亡的人橫臥其中。 | 8The mountains will be filled with the slain; the victims of the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys and ravines. |
| 9我要使你永久變為荒蕪，你的城邑再沒有人居住：如此，你們便承認我是上主。 | 9I will reduce you to a desolate ruins forever; no longer will your towns be inhabited and then you will know that I am Yahweh. |
| 10因為你說過：這兩個民族，這兩個地域應屬於我，雖然雅威住在那裏，我還要去佔領； | 10You said: 'These two nations and these two countries will be mine, we shall take possession of them,' and you disregarded Yahweh who was there. |
| 11為此，我指着我的生命起誓，──吾主上主的斷語──就如你怎樣懷着仇恨對待他們，同樣我也必以怒火和妒恨來對待你；當我懲罰你時，我叫你知道我在他們中， | 11Because of that, as I live, declares Yahweh, I will deal with you according to your hatred towards them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you. |
| 12並要你知道，我上主聽見了你向以色列的群山所講的一切詛咒的話，說：它們已荒蕪了，已交給我們享用。 | 12Then you will know that I, Yahweh, have heard all the insults uttered against the mountains of Israel, such as: 'They are devastated and have been given over to us to be devoured.' |
| 13當你們開口說大話攻斥我，說出許多凌辱我的話時，我都聽見了。 | 13For I heard when you boasted against me without restraint. |
| 14吾主上主這樣說：當全地歡躍時，我要使你荒蕪， | 14Thus says Yahweh: When all the earth rejoices, you will be desolate. |
| 15就如在以色列家的產業荒蕪時，你曾喜樂；同樣，我也要這樣對待你；色依爾山必變成荒野，全厄東必被消滅：如此，人必承認我是上主。」 | 15Since you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became a deserted ruins, that is how I will deal with you. You will become a desert, Mount Seir, and Edom likewise, and people will know that I am Yahweh." |
