哈蓋	Haggai
¹七月二十一日，上主有話藉哈蓋先知說：	¹On the twenty-first day of the seventh month of the second year of the reign of Darius, this word of Yahweh was sent through the prophet Haggai,
²「請你對沙耳提耳的兒子猶大省長則魯巴貝耳，和約匝達克的兒子大司祭耶叔亞以及遺民說：	²"Give this message to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the high priest, and to all the people:
³你們這些遺民中，凡見過這座殿宇在昔日的光榮之中的，你們現在看它怎樣？在你們眼中，豈不是如沒有一樣？	³Is there left among you one of those who saw this house long ago in the time of its glory? What do they think of what they see now? Is it not a very little thing?
⁴但是如今，則魯巴貝耳，努力！──上主的斷語。約匝達克的兒子大司祭耶叔亞，努力！境內全體民眾，努力！──上主的斷語。努力工作罷！因為我與你們同在──萬軍上主的斷語。	⁴But I say to you, Zerubbabel, Joshua and my people: do not be discouraged. Begin to work, for I am with you, says Yahweh.
⁵【這是我在你們出離埃及時，與你們訂立的盟約：】我的神常存在你們中間，你們不要害怕。	⁵Do not be afraid, for my spirit is in your midst.
⁶因為萬軍的上主這樣說：再過不久，我要震動天地海陸，	⁶Thus says Yahweh of hosts, within a short while I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the continents.
⁷震動萬民，使萬民的珍寶運來；我必使這殿宇充滿榮耀──萬軍的上主說。	⁷Then I will shake all the nations and bring in the treasures of the whole world. I will fill this House with glory, says Yahweh.
⁸銀子是我的，金子也是我的──萬軍上主的斷語。	⁸I will have as much silver and gold as I wish.
⁹這座後起的殿宇的光榮，比以前那座所享有的還要大──萬軍的上主說；在此地我要頒賜和平──萬軍上主的斷語。」	⁹The renown of this Temple will be greater than before, and in this place I will give peace," says Yahweh of hosts.
¹⁰達理阿王二年九月二十四日，上主的話傳給哈蓋先知說：	¹⁰On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh was directed again to the prophet Haggai.
¹¹萬軍的上主這樣說：請你去詢問司祭們這件有關法律的事說：	¹¹He should ask the priests to resolve the following case in accordance with the Law:
¹²「如果有人用自己的衣襟攜帶了聖肉，然後又用自己的衣襟接觸麵餅，或湯，或酒，或油，或其他的食物，這些東西是否也成了聖的？」司祭們答說：「不。」	¹²"If someone brings consecrated meat wrapped in his cloak, and the edge of his cloak touches bread, cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will all these become consecrated food?" They immediately answered, "No."
¹³哈蓋又問說：「如果一個因接觸屍體而陷於不潔的人，觸摸了這些東西，是否這些東西也成了不潔的？」司祭們答說：「成了不潔的。」	¹³Haggai went on to say, "But if someone becomes unclean by having touched a dead body, and then touches any of these things, will all these become unclean?" This time the priests said, "Yes."
¹⁴於是哈蓋答說：「這百姓就是這樣，這民族在我面前就是這樣──上主的斷語；他們手中的一切工作都是這樣；凡他們在這裏所獻的，都是不潔的。	¹⁴Then Haggai addressed them, "So it is with this people and this nation before me, says Yahweh, so with everything they do and all they offer here: all is unclean.
¹⁵但是現在，從今日起回頭想想：在上主的殿還沒有石上壘石以前，	¹⁵Pay attention to this from now on: how was it with you before the rebuilding of the Temple was begun?
¹⁶那時你們怎樣？有人來收二十斗，卻只有十斗；有人來到榨油池舀五十桶卻只有二十桶。	¹⁶You expected twenty sacks of wheat, but there were only ten. You thought of drawing out fifty measures of wine but there were only twenty.
¹⁷我以熱風，以霉爛，以冰雹打擊了你們手中的一切工作，而你們仍沒有歸向我──上主的斷語。	¹⁷I spoiled all your work with blight, mildew and hail. Yet none returned to me, says the Lord.
¹⁸請你們由今日起，留心注意，即由九月二十四日，上主殿宇的奠基日起，請你們留心注意：	¹⁸Pay attention, then, from now on, since the first stone of the Sanctuary of Yahweh was laid.
¹⁹倉房裏不是還沒有種子嗎？葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹和橄欖樹，不是還沒有結果子嗎？從今天起，我必要祝福你！」	¹⁹See if the wheat, the vine, the fig tree and the pomegranate go on yielding little! From this day on I will bless your olive trees."
²⁰同月二十四日，上主的話再傳給哈蓋說：	²⁰The word of Yahweh came again to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the same month,
²¹你要向猶大省長則魯巴貝耳說：我要震動天地，	²¹"Say to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah:
²²推翻列國的寶座；我要毀滅異邦列國的勢力，我要推翻戰車和駕車的人，戰馬與騎士個個必倒在自己兄弟的刀下。	²²I will overthrow the thrones of the kings and destroy the power of the nations. I will overturn the chariot and its driver; the horses and their riders shall tumble down to the ground. They will kill one another.
²³在那一天──萬軍上主的斷語──沙耳提耳的兒子，我的僕人則魯巴貝耳！我必提拔你──上主的斷語──我必以你作印璽，因為我揀選了你──萬軍上主的斷語。	²³On that day I will take you, Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, and for me you will be like a ring on my finger with my initials on it. For I have chosen you, says Yahweh of hosts."
