依撒意亞	Isaiah
¹上主必要憐恤雅各伯，再揀選以色列，使他們安居在自己的國土；外方人要與他們聯合，加入雅各伯的家族。	¹The Lord will take pity on Jacob, he will choose Israel again and settle them in their own land. Then foreigners will join them and be counted with the people of Jacob.
²選民要接受他們，要帶領他們回歸故里；以色列家族，在上主的國土內，要佔有他們為奴婢；於是以色列人要俘擄那俘擄過他們的人，要統治壓迫他們的人。	²Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. But as soon as they are back home, the people of Israel will subdue them and make them servants and maids. Thus the people of Israel will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.
³當上主賜你擺脫困苦、憂患和你受的苦役時，那天，	³On the day Yahweh gives you rest from your suffering and turmoil, from your fear and your cruel bondage,
⁴你要對巴比倫王高唱這首諷刺詩說：怎麼，暴虐者住手了！強橫止息了！	⁴you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How has the oppression ceased? How has the strongman ended?
⁵邪惡者的棍棒，統治者的權杖，已為上主折斷，	⁵Yahweh has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the tyrant
⁶就是那懷着怒氣，三番五次痛擊過萬民，在忿恨中以無情的殘虐，蹂躪過萬邦的棍棒。	⁶who struck down the people with blow after blow, who ruled the nations in anger, with unrelenting persecution.
⁷大地安謐寧靜，人人興高采烈；	⁷The whole earth is at rest and at peace, breaking forth into song.
⁸連松樹和黎巴嫩的香柏也都因你而喜慶：「自從你仆倒後，再沒有誰上我們這裏來砍伐！」	⁸Even the cypresses exult and the cedars of Lebanon say: "Now that you have fallen, no loggers come to cut us down."
⁹地下的陰府為了你而激動，為歡迎你的來臨；並為了你，喚醒幽魂及地上所有的貴卿，使列國的君王由自己的寶座上起立；	⁹The netherworld is all astir to meet you when you come. It stirs up the dead to greet you - all who were leaders of theworld. It raises from their thrones - all who were kings of the nations.
¹⁰眾人都開口對你說：「連你也衰弱得和我們一樣啊！你也與我們相同啊！」	¹⁰They all speak and say to you: "You have also been thrown to the ground and have become like us!
¹¹你的豪華，你琴瑟的樂聲，也墮入陰府；你下面舖的是蛆，上面蓋的是蟲。	¹¹All your pomp has been brought down to the Kingdom of death, along with the sound of your harps; maggots are the bed beneath you and worms are your blanket.
¹²朝霞的兒子──晨星！你怎會從天墜下？傾覆萬邦者！你怎麼也被砍倒在地？	¹²How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cast down to the ground, you who mowed down the nations!
¹³你心中曾說過：「我要直沖霄漢，高置我的御座在天主的星宿以上；我要坐在盛會的山上，極北之處；	¹³You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven, I will raise my throne higher than the stars of God; I will sit on the Mount of Assembly, in the far recesses of the North.
¹⁴我要升越雲表，與至高者相平衡！」	¹⁴I will climb up above the clouds; I will be like the Most High!"
¹⁵然而，你卻下到了陰府，深淵的極處。	¹⁵But down to the netherworld you go, to the deep recesses of the Pit.
¹⁶看見你的，必注視你，仔細端詳你說：「這不是那使大地戰慄，列國動盪，	¹⁶All who see you stare at you and ponder over your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth, who made kingdoms quake,
¹⁷化世界為荒野，摧毀城邑，不為俘囚開放監獄的人嗎？」	¹⁷who made the world a waste, who overthrew its cities and would not give its captives release?"
¹⁸萬邦的君王都在榮耀中安葬，各在自己的陰宅裏；	¹⁸All kings of nations lie in state, each in his own tomb.
¹⁹但是你卻被拋於墳外，像一個叫人厭惡的流產胎兒，為刀劍殺戮的死者所掩蓋，有如遭踐踏的死屍。連那些被拋在石坑裏的，	¹⁹You are nevertheless cast out of the tomb, like a rejected untimely birth, like a trampled corpse buried under the slaughtered, under those cut down by the sword, thrown into the common grave.
²⁰你也不得與他們一同埋葬，因為你破壞了你的國土，殘殺了你的人民：惡人的後代永不為人所提念。	²⁰You were not given a monument for you have brought your land to ruin, and caused your people to be slain. May the descendants of evildoers never be mentioned again!
²¹你們應為他們的兒子準備屠場，因為他們的父親有了罪孽；他們決不能再興起，佔據大地，而使地面滿是荒涼。	²¹Go up, slaughter the sons for the sins of their fathers, lest they rise and possess the land and cover the earth with their cities.
²²我要起來攻擊他們──萬軍上主的斷語──我要抹去巴比倫的名號、遺民、後裔和子孫──上主的斷語。	²²"I will rise up against them," says Yahweh Sabaoth. "I will cut off from Babylon her name, her remnant, offspring and posterity," says Yahweh.
²³我要使她成為刺蝟的領土和池沼，我以毀滅的掃帚將她掃淨──萬軍上主的斷語。	²³"I will turn her into a swampland, a habitation of reptiles and crocodiles; I will sweep her with the broom of destruction," says Yahweh Sabaoth.
²⁴萬軍的上主起誓說：「實在，我怎樣想，必怎樣實現；我怎樣計劃，必怎樣成功：	²⁴Yahweh Sabaoth has sworn: "As I have planned, so will it be! As I have decided, so will I do;
²⁵我要在我的國土內粉碎亞述，在我的山嶺上將她踐踏；她的重擔必要由他們肩上卸下。」	²⁵I will destroy the Assyrian in my land, trample him down on my mountains; take his yoke off my people's neck, and remove his burden from their shoulders.
²⁶這是對全地所決定的計劃，這是向萬邦所伸展的手臂，	²⁶This is the sentence he pronounced for the whole earth; with his hand stretched out over all nations.
²⁷因為萬軍的上主已決定，誰能阻止？他的手已伸出，誰能使它收回？	²⁷Yahweh has made a decision, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
²⁸在阿哈次駕崩那年有以下這個神諭：	²⁸In the year King Ahaz died this oracle was proclaimed:
²⁹「全體培肋舍特啊！你不要因為打擊你的棍棒折斷了就喜悅，因為由蛇的根子將生出毒蝮，，而牠的子息必是飛龍。	²⁹"Rejoice not, all you Philistines, that the rod which smote you is broken; for from the root of the snake will come forth a viper, and its offspring will be a flying dragon.
³⁰貧苦的人在我的牧場上必得飼養，窮困的人要泰然安息；但是我要以饑荒餓死你的餘生，殺絕你的遺民。	³⁰On that day my poor will have their fill with the fruits of my fields and the helpless will rest secure. But through famine I will kill your children and slay even your remnant.
³¹門啊！哀號罷！城啊！悲鳴罷！全體培肋舍特啊！戰慄罷！因為有煙從北而來，在她的隊伍中沒有落伍者。」	³¹Wail, O gate! Cry, O city! tremble in fear, all you Philistines! For smoke comes from the north - a great army sweeps down on you.
³²然而要怎樣答覆外邦的使者？「上主建立了熙雍，使他民族中的憂患者，在那裏獲得保護。」	³²What answer will then be given to the messengers of that nation? "Yahweh has laid the foundation of Zion, and there his afflicted people will take refuge."
