| 1一週的第一天，清晨，天還黑的時候，瑪利亞瑪達肋納來到墳墓那裏，看見石頭已從墓門挪開了。 | 1Now, on the first day after the sabbath, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark and she saw that the stone blocking the tomb had been moved away. |
| 2於是她跑去見西滿伯多祿和耶穌所愛的那另一個門徒，對他們說：「有人從墳墓中把主搬走了，我們不知道他們把他放在那裏了。」 | 2She ran to Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved. And she said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb and we don't know where they have laid him." |
| 3伯多祿便和那另一個門徒出來，往墳墓那裏去了。 | 3Peter then set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb. |
| 4兩人一起跑，但那另一個門徒比伯多祿跑得快，先來到了墳墓那裏。 | 4They ran together but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. |
| 5他俯身看見了放着的殮布，卻沒有進去。 | 5He bent down and saw the linen cloths lying flat, but he did not enter. |
| 6隨着他的西滿伯多祿也來到了，進了墳墓，看見了放着的殮布， | 6Then Simon Peter came following him and entered the tomb; he, too, saw the linen cloths lying flat. |
| 7也看見耶穌頭上的那塊汗巾，不同殮布放在一起，而另在一處捲着。 | 7The napkin, which had been around his head was not lying flat like the other linen cloths but lay rolled up in its place. |
| 8那時，先來到墳墓的那個門徒，也進去了，一看見就相信了。 | 8Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and believed. |
| 9這是因為他們還不明白，耶穌必須從死者中復活的那段聖經。 | 9Scripture clearly said that he must rise from the dead, but they had not yet understood that. |
| 10然後兩個門徒又回到家裏去了。 | 10The disciples then went home again. |
| 11瑪利亞卻站在墳墓外邊痛哭；她痛哭的時候，就俯身向墳墓裏面窺看， | 11Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she bent down to look inside; |
| 12見有兩位穿白衣的天使，坐在安放過耶穌遺體的地方：一位在頭部，一位在腳部。 | 12she saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head, and the other at the feet. |
| 13那兩位天使對她說：「女人！你哭什麼？」她答說：「有人把我主搬走了，我不知道他們把他放在那裏了。」 | 13They said, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She answered, "Because they have taken my Lord and I don't know where they have put him." |
| 14說了這話，就向後轉身，見耶穌站在那裏，卻不知道他就是耶穌。 | 14As she said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not recognize him. |
| 15耶穌向她說：「女人，你哭什麼？你找誰？」她以為是園丁，就說：「先生，若是你把他搬走了，請告訴我，你把他放在那裏，我去取回他來。」 | 15Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?" She thought it was the gardener and answered him, "Lord, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and remove him." |
| 16耶穌給她說：「瑪利亞！」她便轉身用希伯來話對他說：「辣步尼！」就是說「師傅。」 | 16Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him, "Rabboni" - which means, Master. |
| 17耶穌向她說：「你別拉住我不放，因為我還沒有升到父那裏；你到我的弟兄那裏去，告訴他們：我升到我的父和你們的父那裏去，升到我的天主和你們的天主那裏去。」 | 17Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me; you see I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them: I am ascending to my Father, who is your Father, to my God, who is your God." |
| 18瑪利亞瑪達肋納就去告訴門徒說：「我見了主。」並報告了耶穌對她所說的那些話。 | 18So Mary of Magdala went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord, and this is what he said to me." |
| 19正是那一週的第一天晚上，門徒所在的地方，因為怕猶太人，門戶都關着，耶穌來了，站在中間對他們說：「願你們平安！」 | 19On the evening of that day, the first day after the sabbath, the doors were locked where the disciples were, because of their fear of the Jews, but Jesus came and stood in their midst. He said to them, "Peace be with you"; |
| 20說了這話，便把手和肋膀指給他們看。門徒見了主，便喜歡起 來。 | 20then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples kept looking at the Lord and were full of joy. |
| 21耶穌又對他們說：「願你們平安！就如父派遣了我，我也同樣派遣你們。」 | 21Again Jesus said to them, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." |
| 22說了這話，就向他們噓了一口氣，說：「你們領受聖神罷！ | 22After saying this he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit; |
| 23你們赦免誰的罪，就給誰赦免；你們存留誰的，就給誰存留。」 | 23for those whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven; for those whose sins you retain, they are retained." |
| 24十二人中的一個，號稱狄狄摩的多默，當耶穌來時，卻沒有和他們在一起。 | 24Thomas, the Twin, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. |
| 25別的門徒向他說：「我們看見了主」但他對他們說：「我除非看見他手上的釘孔，用我的指頭，探入釘孔；用我的手，探入他的肋膀，我決不信。」 | 25The other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord." But he replied, "Until I have seen in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger in the mark of the nails and my hand in his side, I will not believe." |
| 26八天以後，耶穌的門徒又在屋裏，多默也和他們在一起。門戶關着，耶穌來了，站在中間說：「願你們平安！」 | 26Eight days later, the disciples were inside again and Thomas was with them. Despite the locked doors Jesus came and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you." |
| 27然後對多默說：「把你的指頭伸到這裏來，看看我的手罷！並伸過你的手來，探入我的肋膀，不要作無信的人，但要作個有信德的人。」 | 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands; stretch out your hand and put it into my side. Resist no longer and be a believer." |
| 28多默回答說：「我主！我天主！」 | 28Thomas then said, "You are my Lord and my God." |
| 29耶穌對他說：「因為你看見了我，纔相信嗎？那些沒有看見而相信的，纔是有福的！」 | 29Jesus replied, "You believe because you see me, don't you? Happy are those who have not seen and believe." |
| 30耶穌在門徒前還行了許多其他的神蹟，沒有記在這部書上。 | 30There were many other signs that Jesus gave in the presence of his disciples, but they are not recorded in this book. |
| 31這些所記錄的，是為叫你們信耶穌是默西亞，天主子；並使你們信的人，賴他的名獲得生命。 | 31These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; believe and you will have life through his Name. |
