| 2對他這樣說：「你告訴你的哥哥亞郎，不可隨時進入帳幔後的聖所，到約櫃上的贖罪蓋前去，免得在我乘雲顯現在贖罪蓋上時，遭受死亡。 | 2Yahweh said to Moses, "Tell your brother, Aaron, not to enter at any time he pleases the Most Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy Seat which is on the ark, lest he die, for I appear in the cloud over the mercy Seat. |
| 3亞郎應這樣進入聖所：帶上一隻公牛犢作贖罪祭，一隻公綿羊作全燔祭； | 3This is how Aaron will enter the Holy Place with a bullock for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. |
| 4應穿上亞麻聖長衣，身着亞麻短褲，束上亞麻腰帶，戴上亞麻頭巾；這些都是聖衣，他用水洗身後才能穿上。 | 4He is to put on the sacred linen tunic and linen undergarments next to his body; he is to have the linen sash around him and wear the linen turban. These are sacred garments, so he must bathe in water before he puts them on. |
| 5此外，還應由以色列子民會眾，取兩隻公山羊作贖罪祭，一隻公綿羊作全燔祭。 | 5The assembly of the sons of Israel has to give him two male goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering. |
| 6亞郎先要奉獻為自己作贖罪祭的公牛犢，替自己和家人贖罪； | 6Then Aaron shall offer the bullock for a sin offering for himself to make atonement for himself and for his household. |
| 7以後牽那兩隻公山羊來，放在會幕門口上主面前， | 7He shall take the two male goats and present them to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. |
| 8為這兩隻公山羊抽籤：一籤為上主，一籤為「阿匝則耳」。 | 8He is to cast lots for the two goats, one lot for Yahweh and one lot for Azazel. |
| 9亞郎將那為上主抽到的公山羊，獻作贖罪祭； | 9Aaron shall offer the goat on which the lot fell for Yahweh as a sin offering. |
| 10至於那為「阿匝則耳」抽到的公山羊，應讓牠活着，立在上主面前，用牠行贖罪禮，放入曠野，歸於「阿匝則耳」。 | 10But the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel will be placed alive before Yahweh to make atonement by being sent into the wilderness as a scapegoat. |
| 11於是亞郎先奉獻為自己作贖罪祭的公牛犢，替自己和家人贖罪，宰殺為自己作贖罪祭的公牛犢； | 11Aaron will then bring the bullock as a sin offering for himself to make atonement for himself and his household and he shall slaughter the bullock for the sin offering which is for himself. |
| 12隨後由上主面前的祭壇上，拿下盛滿紅炭的火盤，再拿一滿捧細乳香，帶進帳幔內， | 12Then he shall take a censer full of coals from the fire above the altar before Yahweh and two handfuls of powdered, fragrant incense and take them inside the veil. |
| 13在上主面前將乳香放在火上，使乳香的煙遮住約櫃上的贖罪蓋，免得遭受死亡。 | 13He shall put the incense on the fire before Yahweh and the cloud of incense will cover the mercy Seat that is on the ark of the Statement, so that he will not die. |
| 14以後，取些牛血，用手指灑在贖罪蓋東面；又用手指在贖罪蓋前，灑血七次。 | 14He will take the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy Seat to the east and also in front of the mercy Seat he shall sprinkle blood seven times. |
| 15此後，宰殺了為人民作贖罪祭的公山羊，將羊血帶進帳幔內，照灑牛血的方式，將羊血灑在贖罪蓋上和贖罪蓋的前面， | 15Then he shall slay the goat for the sin offering of the people and take its blood inside the veil and do with its blood what he did with the blood of the bullock. He shall sprinkle it on the mercy Seat and in front of it. |
| 16為以色列子民的不潔，和他們犯的種種罪過，給聖所取潔；給存留在他們中，為他們不潔玷污的會幕，也舉行同樣的禮儀。 | 16In this way he shall make atonement for the Holy Place because of the uncleanness of the Israelites and because of all their sins. And he shall do the same for the Tent of Meeting which stands among them in the midst of all their uncleanness. |
| 17當他走進聖所行贖罪禮時，直到他出來，任何人不許在會幕內。幾時他為自己，為家人，為以色列全會眾贖罪完畢， | 17No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes to make atonement until he comes out. After he has made atonement for himself, for his household and for the whole assembly of Israel, |
| 18就出來，回到上主面前的祭壇前，為祭壇行取潔禮；取些牛血和羊血，抹在祭壇四周的角上； | 18he shall go out to the altar before Yahweh and make atonement for it. Then he shall take some of the bullock's blood and some of the goat's blood and put it on the horns of the altar on all sides. |
| 19再用手指向祭壇灑血七次：這樣使祭壇免於以色列子民的不潔，而獲潔淨和祝聖。 | 19He shall sprinkle it with blood seven times, and cleanse it and consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites. |
| 20為聖所、會幕及祭壇行完取潔禮後，便將那隻活公山羊牽來， | 20When he has finished making atonement for the Holy Place, for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat. |
| 21亞郎將雙手按在牠的頭上，明認以色列子民的一切罪惡，和所犯的種種過犯和罪過，全放在這公山羊頭上；然後命派定的人將牠送到曠野。 | 21He shall lay his hands on the head of the goat and confess over it all the wickedness of the sons of Israel and all the sins they have committed against me. So he will charge them on the head of the goat and the wickedness of the sons of Israel and all the sins they have committed against me. So he will charge them on the head of the goat and send it away to the wilderness by the hand of an assistant. |
| 22這羊負着他們的種種罪惡到了荒野地方，那人應在曠野裏釋放這隻羊。 | 22So the goat will carry away all their wickedness to an arid land, when the man releases it in the wilderness. |
| 23然後亞郎進入會幕，脫下他進入聖所時穿的亞麻衣服，放在那裏， | 23Then Aaron is to go into the Tent of Meeting and take off the linen garments he had put on before he entered the sacred place. He shall leave them there, |
| 24在聖地方用水洗身，再穿上自己的衣服，出來奉獻自己的全燔祭和人民的全燔祭，為自己和人民行贖罪禮。 | 24bathe himself with water in a sacred place and put on his clothes. After that he will come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people to make atonement for himself and the people. |
| 25贖罪祭犧牲的脂肪，應放在祭壇上焚燒。 | 25The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar. |
| 26那送公山羊給「阿匝則耳」的，應先洗自己的衣服，用水洗身，然後方可進入營幕。 | 26The man who releases the scapegoat shall wash his clothes and bathe himself with water, after which he may re-enter the camp. |
| 27作贖罪祭的公牛犢和作贖罪祭的公山羊，牠們的血既帶到聖所內贖罪，皮、肉及糞，都應運到營外，用火燒了。 | 27The bullock of the sin offering and the goat of the sin offering whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be brought outside the camp and they shall burn their hides, their flesh and their dung in the fire. |
| 28那燒的人，應先洗自己的衣服，用水洗身，然後方可進入營幕。 | 28The one who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, after which he may re-enter the camp. |
| 29這為你們是一條永久的法令：七月初十，你們應先克己苦身，不論是本地人，或僑居在你們中間的外方人，任何勞工都不許做， | 29This shall be a lasting ordinance for you: on the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and do no work - neither the native nor the stranger living among you - |
| 30因為在這一天，你們應為自己贖罪，使自己潔淨，應除去自己的種種過犯，在上主面前再成為潔淨的。 | 30for on this day atonement will be made for you to cleanse you. You shall be cleansed of your sins before Yahweh. |
| 31這是你們全休息的安息日，應克己苦身：這是永久的法令。 | 31It is a sabbath of solemn rest when you must deny yourselves. It is a lasting ordinance. |
| 32那位受傅，被委任繼承他父親執行司祭職務的大司祭，應舉行贖罪禮。他應穿上亞麻聖衣， | 32The priest who is anointed and ordained to succeed his father will make atonement. He shall put on the linen garments, the holy garments, |
| 33為至聖所，為會幕和祭壇行取潔禮，為眾司祭和全會眾人民行贖罪禮。 | 33and will make atonement for the Holy Place, for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar. He shall also make atonement for the priests and all the people of the assembly. |
| 34每年一次，應為以色列子民，為他們的種種罪過行贖罪禮：這為你們是永久的法令。」人就依照上主吩咐梅瑟的做了。 | 34This shall be for you a lasting ordinance to make atonement for the people of Israel once a year, because of all their sins." And Moses did as Yahweh commanded him. |
