| 1上主訓示梅瑟說： | 1Yahweh said to Moses, |
| 2「你告訴亞郎和他的兒子以及全體以色列子民說：上主這樣吩咐說： | 2"Speak to Aaron, his sons and all the Israelites and say to them: This is what Yahweh has commanded: |
| 3以色列家中任何人，在營內或在營外，宰殺牛或綿羊或山羊， | 3Any man from the house of Israel who kills an ox, or a lamb or a goat in the camp or outside the camp |
| 4而不牽到會幕門口，在上主的住所前，奉獻給上主作祭品，這人就應負流血的罪債；他既使血流出，就應由民間剷除。 | 4and does not bring it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to make an offering of it to Yahweh before the tabernacle of Yahweh - that man shall be considered guilty of bloodshed. He has shed blood and he shall be cut off from among his people. |
| 5為此，以色列子民應將他們平素在野外宰殺的犧牲，牽到上主前，在會幕門口交與司祭宰殺這些犧牲，獻給上主作和平祭。 | 5The reason for this ordinance is so that the sons of Israel may bring the sacrifices that they used to slay in the fields to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to the priests, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace to Yahweh. |
| 6司祭將牲血灑在會幕門口上主的祭壇上，焚燒脂肪，化為中悅上主的馨香。 | 6The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as a sweet-smelling offering to Yahweh. |
| 7從此以後，他們不應再宰殺犧牲，獻給他們非法敬拜的一些山羊神：這為他們世世代代是一項永久的法令。 | 7This way they shall no longer slay their sacrifices for the goat idols to whom they prostituted themselves. This is to be a lasting ordinance for them in the generations to come. |
| 8此外，你應吩咐他們說：以色列家及僑居在他們中間的外方人，誰若願意獻全燔祭或祭獻， | 8Then you shall give them this ordinance: Any man from the house of Israel or any alien living among them who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice |
| 9而不牽到會幕門口，奉獻給上主，這人就應由民間剷除。 | 9and does not bring it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to Yahweh, that man shall be cut off from his people. |
| 10以色列家及僑居在他們中間的外方人，有人吃了什麼血，我必怒容而視，與這吃血的人作對，由民間將他剷除。 | 10If any man from the house of Israel or any alien living among them eats blood, I will set my face against that person and I will cut him off from among his people. |
| 11因為肉軀的生命是在血內，我為你們指定了血，在祭壇上為你們的生命贖罪，因為血具有生命，故能贖罪。 | 11For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to rescue your life on the altar. Offered blood makes atonement because of the life within it. That is why I said to the sons of Israel: No one among you shall eat blood, nor may any alien who lives among you eat blood. |
| 12為此，我吩咐以色列子民說：你們中任何人都不可吃血；僑居在你們中間的外方人，也不可吃血。 | 12If any Israelite or any alien living among you snares in hunting any beast or bird that may be eaten, |
| 13以色列子民和僑居在他們中間的外方人，誰若獵取了可食的野獸或飛禽，該放盡牠的血，用泥土蓋上。 | 13he shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust. |
| 14因為一切肉軀的生命都繫於血，為此，我吩咐以色列子民說：任何肉上的血，你們都不可吃，因為一切肉軀的生命，都繫於血；誰吃了，應被剷除。 | 14For the blood of every creature contains its life and I have therefore said to the people of Israel: You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is within its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off. |
| 15不論是本地人或是外方人，吃了自死或被猛獸撕裂的禽獸，應洗自己的衣服，用水洗澡，直到晚上是不潔的；以後他才潔淨。 | 15And every person who eats an animal that dies or that is torn by wild beasts, whether he be a native or an alien, shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and remain unclean until evening; then he will be purified. |
| 16但是，如果他不洗衣，也不洗身，應負罪債。」 | 16But if he does not wash his clothes or bathe his body, he shall carry his guilt." |
