| 1上主在西乃山訓示梅瑟說： | 1Yahweh spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai: |
| 2「你告訴以色列子民說：幾時你們進入了我要賜給你們的地方，這地方將為上主守安息。 | 2"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land I am giving you, let the land rest for Yahweh every seventh year. |
| 3六年之內，你可播種田地；六年之內，你可修剪葡萄園，收穫其中的出產。 | 3For six years you shall sow your field, prune your vineyard and harvest the produce, |
| 4但到第七年，地應完全休息，是上主的安息年。你不可播種田地，也不可剪修葡萄園； | 4but in the seventh year the land shall have a rest, or sabbath, a sabbath for Yahweh. You shall not sow your field nor prune your vineyard; |
| 5連你收穫後而自然生出的，你也不可收割；葡萄樹未加修剪而結的葡萄，你也不可採摘；是地完全休息的一年。 | 5you shall not reap the aftergrowth of your harvest nor gather the grapes of your uncultivated vines. This shall be a year of rest for the land, |
| 6地在休息期而自然生出的，可供給你們吃：即供給你、你的僕婢、傭工和與你同住的客人吃。 | 6but whatever it produces of itself will provide food for you, for your male and female slaves, for your hired servant and for the stranger who lives with you. |
| 7地自然生的，也可供給你的牲畜和你地中的走獸吃。 | 7Its produce will likewise provide food for your livestock and for the wild animals on your land. |
| 8你應計算七個安息年，即七乘七年；七個安息年的時期，正是四十九年。 | 8When seven sabbaths of years have passed, that is, seven times seven years, there shall be the time of the seven weeks of years, that is forty-nine years. |
| 9這年七月初十，你應吹號角，即在贖罪節日，你們應在全國內吹起號角， | 9Then on the tenth day of the seventh month sound the trumpet loudly. On this Day of Atonement sound the trumpet all through the land. |
| 10祝聖第五十年，向全國居民宣布自由；為你們是一喜年，人各歸其祖業，人各返其家庭。 | 10Keep holy the fiftieth year and proclaim freedom for all the inhabitants of the land. It shall be a jubilation year for you when each one shall recover his property and go back to his family. |
| 11第五十年為你們是一喜年，不可播種；自然生出的，不可收穫；葡萄樹未加修剪而結的葡萄，不可採摘， | 11In this fiftieth year, your year of Jubilee, you shall neither sow nor reap the aftergrowth, nor gather the grapes from the uncultivated vines. |
| 12因為這是喜年，為你們應是聖年；你們只可吃田地自然生的。 | 12This Jubilee year shall be holy for you, and you shall eat what the field yields of itself without cultivation. |
| 13在這喜年內，人各歸其祖業。 | 13In this year of Jubilee each of you shall recover his own property. |
| 14為此，如你賣給你的同胞產業，或由你的同胞購買，你們不可彼此欺壓； | 14When you sell something to your neighbor or buy something from him, do not wrong one another. |
| 15你應照上次喜年後的年數由你同胞購買，他應照收穫的年數賣給你。 | 15According to the number of years after the Jubilee, you shall buy it from your neighbor and according to the number of years left for harvesting crops he shall sell to you. |
| 16年數越多，你越應多付買價；年數越少，越應少付買價，因為他賣給你的是物產的數目。 | 16When the years are many the price shall be greater and when the years are few the price shall be less, for it is the number of crops that he is selling to you. |
| 17為此，你們不可彼此欺壓，但應敬畏你的天主，因為我上主是你們的天主。 | 17So you shall not wrong one another but you shall fear your God, for I am Yahweh, your God. |
| 18你們應遵行我的法令，遵守我的規定，一一依照執行，好叫你們平安地住在這地上， | 18Carry out my precepts and obey my laws. In that way you will live securely in the land. |
| 19地必供給出產，使你們吃飽，平安住在地上。 | 19The land will give its fruit so that you may have food in abundance and live securely. |
| 20若你們追問說：到第七年，我們若不能播種，又不能收集我們的出產，我們吃什麼？ | 20But if you ask: What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not sow or gather crops?; see that |
| 21在第六年上，我必決定祝福你們，叫地有三年的出產； | 21I will send you my blessing in the sixth year that it may produce enough for three years. |
| 22你們在第八年上播種時，還吃陳糧；直到第九年，直到收割新糧時，還有陳糧吃。 | 22So in the eighth year the remains of the old crop will provide you with what to sow and to eat until the harvest of the ninth year is ready. |
| 23土地不可出賣而無收回權，因為地是我的，你們為我只是旅客或住客。 | 23The land shall not be sold forever for the land is mine, where you are but strangers and guests of mine. |
| 24對你們所佔的各地，應承認地有贖回權。 | 24In all the territory you occupy, the land is to be redeemed. |
| 25如果你的兄弟貧窮，賣了一分家產，他的至親可來作代贖人，贖回他兄弟所賣的家產。 | 25When your brother becomes poor and sells his property, his nearest relative is to come and buy back what his relative has sold. |
| 26人若沒有代贖人，幾時自己富足了，有了足夠的贖價， | 26If the man has no relatives to buy back his property, but later has sufficient means to redeem it, |
| 27當計算賣出後的年數，將差額還給買主，收回自己的家產。 | 27he will calculate the value based on the number of years since he sold it and refund the balance to the man to whom he sold it and in that way he shall re-cover his property. |
| 28如果他無法獲得足夠的贖價，他所賣的，應存於買主之手直到喜年；到了喜年，地應退還，賣主收回自己的家產。 | 28But if he does not find the means to repay him, what has been sold shall remain with the buyer until the Jubilee year when it must be given back to its original owner. |
| 29若人賣了一所在城牆內的住宅，自賣出後，一年內，他有贖回的權利；他贖回的權利為期一年。 | 29In the same way, if a man sells a house in a walled city, his right of redemption shall last until the end of a year from the time of its sale; his right of redemption lasts a whole year. |
| 30如果滿了一年，他沒有贖回，在城牆內的房屋應歸買主與其後代，再無收回權；即使到了喜年，亦不應退還。 | 30If it is not redeemed by the end of a complete year, the house in the walled city shall belong permanently to the one who bought it and to his descendants, and it shall not be released in the Jubilee year. |
| 31但房屋在沒有圍牆的村莊內，應算是田產，有贖回的權利；到了喜年應該退還。 | 31Houses in villages which have no surrounding wall are considered as fields; they have redemption rights and may be released in a Jubilee year. |
| 32至於肋未人得為產業的城市中的房屋，肋未人永享有贖回權。 | 32As for the towns of the Levites, their houses belong to the Levites and they have a permanent right to redeem what is bought from them. |
| 33如一肋未人在他得為產業的城市出賣的房屋，沒有贖回，在喜年仍可收回，因為肋未城中的房屋，是他們在以色列子民中所得的不動產。 | 33Any house in a town of the Levites can return to them at the time of the Jubilee, for the houses in the towns of the Levites are their possession among the Israelites. |
| 34但是，他們城外四郊之地，不可變賣，因為是永屬他們的產業。 | 34The field also belonging to their towns must not be sold forever; it is their permanent possession. |
| 35如果你的兄弟貧窮，無力向你還債，你應像待外方人或旅客一樣扶持他，叫他能與你一起生活。 | 35If your brother becomes poor and is unable to support himself, help him. Help this stranger or this guest that he may live with you. |
| 36不應向他索取利息或重利，但應敬畏你的天主，讓他與你一起生活，如你的兄弟。 | 36Do not take interest from him, but fear your God, so that your brother may live among you. |
| 37借給他銀錢，不可取利息；借給他糧食，不可索重利。 | 37Do not give him your silver at interest nor your food for gain. |
| 38我上主是你們的天主，我領你們離開埃及地，將客納罕地賜給你們，是為做你們的天主。 | 38I am Yahweh, your God, who brought you out of Egypt to give you the land of the Canaanites and to be your God. |
| 39若你身傍的兄弟窮了，賣身給你，你不可迫他勞作如同奴隸一樣； | 39If your brother becomes poor and sells himself to you, do not make him work as a slave, |
| 40他在你身旁，應像傭工或外僑，給你工作直到喜年。 | 40but let him remain with you as a hired servant and an alien until the year of Jubilee. |
| 41那時，他和他的子女應離開你，回本家，復歸其祖業； | 41He shall then leave you, he and his sons with him, and return to his own family and to the property of his fathers. |
| 42因為他們是我的僕役，是我由埃及地領出來的；他們不能賣身，如同出賣奴隸。 | 42For they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt and they are not to be sold as slaves. |
| 43你不可虐待他，但應敬畏你的天主。 | 43Do not rule over them harshly, but fear your God. |
| 44你需要的奴婢，應來自你們四周的民族，由他們中可購買奴婢。 | 44As for the male and female slaves, it is from the nations around you that you are to buy them. |
| 45此外，可從同你們住在一起的外方人中，或從他們在你們境內所生的後代子孫中，購買奴婢。這些奴婢可成為你們的產業， | 45You may also buy from among the aliens who live with you and from their families, born in your land, and they may be your property. |
| 46可將他們留給你們的後代子孫，當作永久的產業，使他們勞作。至於你們的兄弟以色列子民，彼此既是兄弟，不可嚴加虐待。 | 46So you may leave them to your children as inherited possessions and make them slaves for life. But regarding your Israelite brothers, you must not rule over them harshly. |
| 47若外方人，或寄居在你處的人成了富翁，你的兄弟反而窮了，欠他的債，而賣身給寄居在你處的外方人，或外方人家中的後代； | 47If an alien or temporary resident becomes prosperous and one of your brothers becomes so poor as to sell himself to a stranger who is living with you or to a member of the stranger's family, |
| 48賣身以後，仍享有贖回的權利；他的任何一個兄弟可以贖他； | 48he shall have the right of redemption. One of his brothers may redeem him, |
| 49他的叔伯，或他叔伯的兒子可以贖他；他家中的任何至親骨肉都可以贖他；如他自己致富，亦可自贖。 | 49or his uncle or the son of his uncle or a near relative may redeem him. |
| 50他應同購買自己的人，計算從賣身給他以後到喜年的年數；贖價應依照年數的多少，並按傭工每日的工價決定； | 50If he becomes rich, let him redeem himself. He shall reckon with his buyer from the time he sold himself until the year of Jubilee and the price of his sale shall correspond to the number of years. If many years remain, he shall be reckoned at the price of a hired servant, according to the number of years. |
| 51如剩下的年數尚多，他應依照年數的多少，出一部分贖價來贖身。 | 51If redeemed when many years remain, he shall refund out of the price paid for him, according to the remaining time. |
| 52如直到喜年剩下的年數不多，應這樣計算：依照年數的比例交付贖價。 | 52If only a few years remain until the Jubilee year, he will calculate and refund accordingly. |
| 53買主對他應像每年雇的工人；他不可當着你虐待那人。 | 53He shall be with him as a servant hired year by year and he shall not be harshly dealt with. |
| 54如果那人不能這樣贖身，到了喜年，他可與兒女自由離去。 | 54If he is redeemed in any of these ways, he shall be released in the Jubilee year, he and his sons with him. |
| 55因為以色列子民只對我是奴隸，他們是我的奴隸，是我領他們離開了埃及地：我，上主是你們的天主。 | 55For it is to me that the sons of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh, your God. |
