馬爾谷福音	Mark
¹當那些日子，又有一大群人，沒有什麼吃的了。耶穌叫過門徒來，給他們說：	¹Soon afterwards Jesus was in the midst of another large crowd that obviously had nothing to eat. So he called his disciples and said to them,
²「我很憐憫這批群眾，因為他們同我在一起已經三天，也沒有什麼可吃的了。	²"I feel sorry for these people because they have been with me for three days and now have nothing to eat.
³我若遣散他們空着肚子各自回家，他們必要在路上暈倒；況且他們中還有些是從遠處來的。」	³If I send them to their homes hungry, they will faint on the way; some of them have come a long way."
⁴門徒回答說：「在這荒野裏，人從那裏能得餅，使這些人吃飽呢？」	⁴His disciples replied, "Where in a deserted place like this could we get enough bread to feed these people?"
⁵耶穌問他們說：「你們有多少餅？」他們說：「七個。」	⁵He asked them, "How many loaves have you?" And they answered, "Seven."
⁶耶穌就吩咐群眾坐在地上，拿起那七個餅來，祝謝了，擘開，遞給他的門徒，叫他們分開；他們就給群眾分開。	⁶Then he ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground. Taking the seven loaves and giving thanks, he broke them and handed them to his disciples to distribute. And they distributed them among the people.
⁷又有幾條小魚，耶穌祝福後，也吩咐把這些小魚分開。	⁷They also had some small fish, so Jesus said a blessing and asked that these be shared as well.
⁸人都吃飽了，把剩下來的碎塊收集了七籃子。	⁸The people ate and were satisfied. The broken pieces were collected, seven wicker baskets full of leftovers.
⁹人數約有四千；然後耶穌遣散了他們，	⁹Now there had been about four thousand people. Jesus sent them away
¹⁰即刻同門徒上船，來到了達瑪奴達境內。	¹⁰and immediately got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha.
¹¹法利塞人出來，開始和他辯論，向他要求一個來自天上的徵兆，想試探他。	¹¹The Pharisees came and started to argue with Jesus. Hoping to embarrass him, they asked for some heavenly sign.
¹²耶穌從心裏歎息說：「為什麼這一世代要求徵兆？我實在告訴你們，必不給這世代一個徵兆！」	¹²Then his spirit was moved. He gave a deep sigh and said, "Why do the people of this present time ask for a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this people."
¹³他就離開他們，再上船往對岸去了。	¹³Then he left them, got into the boat again and went to the other side of the lake.
¹⁴門徒忘了帶餅，在船上除了一個餅外，隨身沒有帶別的食物。	¹⁴The disciples had forgotten to bring more bread and had only one loaf with them in the boat.
¹⁵耶穌囑咐他們說：「你們應當謹慎，提防法利塞人的酵母和黑落德的酵母。」	¹⁵Then Jesus warned them, "Keep your eyes open and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod."
¹⁶他們彼此議論：他們沒有餅了。	¹⁶And they said to one another, "He saw that we have no bread."
¹⁷耶穌看出來了，就對他們說：「為什麼你們議論沒有餅了？你們還不明白，還不瞭解嗎？你們的心仍然遲鈍嗎？	¹⁷Aware of this, Jesus asked them, "Why are you talking about the loaves you are short of? Do you not see or understand? Are your minds closed?
¹⁸你們有眼看不見，有耳聽不見嗎？你們不記得：	¹⁸Have you eyes that don't see and ears that don't hear? And do you not remember
¹⁹當我擘開五個餅給五千人的時候，你們收滿了幾筐碎塊？」他們回答說：「十二筐。」	¹⁹when I broke the five loaves among five thousand? How many baskets full of leftovers did you collect?" They answered, "Twelve."
²⁰「還有，七個餅給四千人的時候，你們收滿了幾籃碎塊？」他們回答說：「七籃。」	²⁰"And having seven loaves for the four thousand, how many wicker baskets of leftovers did you collect?" They answered, "Seven."
²¹於是耶穌對他們說：「你們還不瞭解嗎？」	²¹Then Jesus said to them, "Do you still not understand?"
²²他們來到貝特賽達，有人給耶穌送來一個瞎子，求他撫摸他。	²²When they came to Bethsaida, Jesus was asked to touch a blind man who was brought to him.
²³耶穌便拉着瞎子的手，領他到村外，在他的眼上吐了唾沬，然後又給他覆手，問他說：「你看見什麼沒有？」	²³He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had put spittle on his eyes and laid his hands upon him, he asked, "Can you see anything?"
²⁴他舉目一望，說：「我看見人，見他們好像樹木在行走。」	²⁴The man, who was beginning to see, replied, "I see people! They look like trees, but they move around."
²⁵然後，耶穌又按手在他的眼上，他定睛一看，就復了原，竟能清清楚楚看見一切。	²⁵Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again and the man could see perfectly. His sight was restored and he could see everything clearly.
²⁶耶穌打發他回家去說：「連這村莊你也不要進去。」	²⁶Then Jesus sent him home saying, "Do not return to the village."
²⁷耶穌和他的門徒起身，往斐理伯的凱撒勒雅附近的村莊去；在路上問自己的門徒說：「人們說我是誰？」	²⁷Jesus set out with his disciples for the villages around Cesarea Philippi; and on the way he asked them, "Who do people say I am?"
²⁸他們回答說：「是洗者若翰；也有些人說是厄里亞；還有些人說是先知中的一位。」	²⁸And they told him, "Some say you are John the Baptist; others say you are Elijah or one of the prophets." Then Jesus asked them,
²⁹耶穌又問他們說：「你們說我是誰呢？」伯多祿回答說：「你是默西亞。」	²⁹"But you, who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Messiah."
³⁰耶穌就嚴禁他們，不要向任何人談及他。	³⁰And he ordered them not to tell anyone about him.
³¹耶穌便開始教訓他們：人子必須受許多苦，被長老、司祭長和經師棄絕，且要被殺害；但三天以後必要復活。	³¹Jesus then began to teach them that the Son of Man had to suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the Law. He would be killed and after three days rise again.
³²耶穌明明說了這話。伯多祿便拉他到一邊，開始諫責他。	³²Jesus said all this quite openly, so that Peter took him aside and began to protest strongly.
³³耶穌卻轉過身來，注視着自己的門徒，責斥伯多祿說：「撒殫，退到我後面去！因為你所體會的，不是天主的事，而是人的事。」	³³But Jesus turning around, and looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter saying, "Get behind me Satan! You are thinking, not as God does, but as people do."
³⁴他遂召集群眾和門徒來，對他們說：「誰若願意跟隨我，該棄絕自己，背着自己的十字架，跟隨我，	³⁴Then Jesus called the people and his disciples and said, "If you want to follow me, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me.
³⁵因為誰若願意救自己的性命，必要喪失性命；但誰若為我和福音的原故，喪失自己的性命，必要救得性命。	³⁵For if you choose to save your life, you will lose it; and if you lose your life for my sake and for the sake of the Gospel, you will save it.
³⁶人縱然賺得了全世界而賠上自己的靈魂，為他有什麼益處？	³⁶What good is it to gain the whole world but destroy yourself?
³⁷人還能拿什麼作為自己靈魂的代價？	³⁷There is nothing you can give to recover your life.
³⁸誰若在這淫亂和罪惡的世代中，以我和我的話為恥，將來人子在他父的光榮中，同諸聖天使降來時，也要以他為恥。」	³⁸I tell you: If anyone is ashamed of me and of my words among this adulterous and sinful people, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the Glory of his Father with the holy angels."
