¹那時，耶穌在安息日由麥田中經過：他的門徒餓了，開始掐麥穗吃。	¹It happened that Jesus walked through the wheat fields on a sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and began to pick some heads of wheat and crush them to eat the grain.
²法利塞人一見，便對他說：「看，你的門徒作安息日不許作的事。」	²When the Pharisees noticed this, they said to Jesus, "Look at your disciples; they are doing what is prohibited on the Sabbath!"
³耶穌對他們說：「你們沒有念過：達味與那些同他在一起的人，饑餓時，作了什麼？	³Jesus answered, "Have you not read what David did when he and his men were hungry?
⁴他怎樣進了天主的殿，吃了供餅？這供餅原是不准他吃，也不准同他在一起的人吃，而是只許司祭吃的。	⁴He went into the house of God, and they ate the bread offered to God, although neither he nor his men had the right to eat it, but only the priests.
⁵或者你們在法律上沒有念過：安息日，司祭在聖殿內違犯了安息日，也不算為罪過嗎？	⁵And have you not read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the Temple break the Sabbath rest, yet they are not guilty?
⁶但我告訴你們：這裏有比聖殿更大的。	⁶I tell you, there is greater than the Temple here.
⁷假如你們瞭解『我喜愛仁愛勝過祭獻』是什麼，你們就決不會判斷無罪的人了，	⁷If you really knew the meaning of the words: It is mercy I want, not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the innocent.
⁸因為人子是安息日的主。」	⁸Besides the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
⁹耶穌就離開那裏，進了他們的會堂。	⁹Jesus then left that place and went into one of their synagogues.
¹⁰看，那裏有一個人，他的一隻手乾枯了，他們問耶穌說：「安息日許不許治病？」為的是要控告他。	¹⁰A man was there with a paralyzed hand, and people who wanted to bring a charge against Jesus asked him, "Is it permitted to heal on the Sabbath?"
¹¹耶穌對他們說：「你們中誰有一隻羊，假如安息日掉在坑裏，而不把牠抓住，拉上來呢？	¹¹But he said to them, "What if one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath? Will you not take hold of your sheep and lift it out?
¹²人比羊貴重得多了！所以，安息日是許可行善的。」	¹²But a human person is much more valuable than a sheep! It is therefore permitted to do good on the Sabbath."
¹³於是給那人說：「伸出你的手來！」那人一伸出來，手就完好如初，同另一隻一樣。	¹³Then Jesus said to the man, "Stretch out your arm." He stretched it out and it was completely restored, as sound as the other one.
¹⁴法利塞人出去，商討怎樣陷害耶穌，怎樣除滅他。	¹⁴Then the Pharisees went out and made plans to get rid of him.
¹⁵耶穌知道了，就離開那裏；有許多人跟隨他，他都治好了他們；	¹⁵As Jesus was aware of the plot, he went away from that place. Many people followed him and he cured all who were sick.
¹⁶且警告他們不要將他傳揚出去：	¹⁶Then he gave them strict orders not to make him known.
¹⁷這是為應驗那藉依撒意亞先知所說的話：	¹⁷In this way Isaiah's prophecy was fulfilled:
¹⁸『看，我的僕人，他是我所揀選，我所鍾愛的；他是我心靈所喜悅的；我要使我的神住在他身上，他必向外邦人傳布真道。	¹⁸Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, and with whom I am pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him and he will announce my judgment to the nations.
¹⁹他不爭辯，也不喧嚷，在街市上沒有人聽到他的聲音：	¹⁹He will not argue or shout, nor will his voice be heard in the streets.
²⁰已壓破的蘆葦，他不折斷；將熄滅的燈心，他不吹滅，直到他使真道勝利。	²⁰The bruised reed he will not crush, nor snuff out the smoldering wick. He will persist until justice is made victorious
²¹外邦人將要期待他的名字。』	²¹and in him all the nations will put their hope."
²²那時，有人給他領來一個又瞎又啞的附魔人，耶穌治好了他，以致這啞吧能說話，也能看見。	²²Then some people brought to him a possessed man who was blind and who could not talk. Jesus healed the man, who was then able to speak and see.
²³群眾都驚奇說：「莫非這人是達味之子嗎？」	²³All in the crowd were amazed and wondered, "Could he be the Son of David?"
²⁴法利塞人聽了，說：「這人驅魔，無非是仗賴魔王貝耳則步。」	²⁴When the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is by Beelzebul, prince of the devils, that this man drives out devils."
²⁵耶穌知道了他們的意念，就對他們說：「凡一國自相紛爭，必成廢墟；凡一城或一家自相紛爭，必不得存立。	²⁵Jesus knew their thinking, so he said to them, "Every kingdom that is divided by civil war will fall apart, and every dynasty that is divided cannot last.
²⁶如果撒殫驅逐撒殫，是自相紛爭，那麼他的國如何能存立呢？	²⁶So if Satan drives out Satan, he is divided: how then can his reign stand?
²⁷如果我仗賴貝耳則步驅魔，你們的子弟是仗賴誰驅魔？為此，他們將是你們的裁判者。	²⁷And if it is by Beelzebul that I drive out devils, by whom do your own people drive them out? They themselves will give you the answer.
²⁸如果我仗賴天主的神驅魔，那麼，天主的國已來到你們中間了。	²⁸But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out devils, then the kingdom of God has already come upon you.
²⁹或者，一個人如何能進入一個壯士的家，搶他的家具？除非先把壯士捆住，然後纔搶他的家。	²⁹How can anyone break into the strong man's house and make off with his belongings, unless he first ties him up? Only then can he plunder his house.
³⁰不隨同我的，就是反對我；不與我收集的，就是分散。	³⁰The one who is not with me is against me, and the one who does not gather with me scatters.
³¹為此，我告訴你們：一切罪過和褻瀆，人都可得赦免；但是褻瀆聖神的罪，必不得赦免。	³¹And so I tell you this: people can be forgiven any sin and any evil thing they say against God, but whoever says evil words against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
³²凡出言干犯人子的，可得赦免；但出言干犯聖神的，在今世及來世，都不得赦免。」	³²The one who speaks against the Son of Man, will be forgiven; but the one who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
³³「你們或者說樹好，它的果子也好；或者說樹壞，它的果子也壞，因為由果子可認出樹來。	³³If you have a sound tree, its fruit will be sound; if you have a rotten tree, its fruit will be rotten. For you can know a tree by its fruit.
³⁴毒蛇的種類哪！你們既是惡的，怎能說出善來？因為心裏充滿什麼，口裏就說什麼。	³⁴You brood of vipers, how can you say anything good, when you are so evil? For the mouth speaks of what fills the heart.
³⁵善人從善庫裏，取出善來；惡人從惡庫裏，取出惡來。	³⁵A good person produces good things from his good store, and an evil person produces evil from his evil store.
³⁶但我告訴你們：人所說的每句廢話，在審判之日，都要交賬，	³⁶I tell you this; on the judgment day people will have to give an account of any unjustified word they have spoken.
³⁷因為憑你的話，要定你為義人；也憑你的話，要定你為罪人。」	³⁷Your own words will declare you either innocent or guilty."
³⁸那時，有幾個經師和法利塞人對耶穌說：「師傅，我們願意你顯示一個徵兆給我們看。」	³⁸Then some teachers of the Law and some Pharisees spoke up, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from you."
³⁹他回答他們說：「邪惡淫亂的世代要求徵兆，但除了約納先知的徵兆外，必不給它其他的徵兆。	³⁹Jesus answered them, "An evil and unfaithful people want a sign, but no sign will be given them except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
⁴⁰有如約納曾在大魚腹中三天三夜；同樣，人子也要在地裏三天三夜。	⁴⁰In the same way that Jonah spent three days and three nights in the belly of the monster fish, so will the Son of Man spend three days and three nights in the depths of the earth.
⁴¹尼尼微人在審判時，將同這一代人起來，定他們的罪，因為尼尼微人因了約納的宣講而悔改了；看，這裏有一位大於約納的！	⁴¹At the judgment, the people of Niniveh will rise with this generation and condemn it, because they reformed their lives at the preaching of Jonah, and here there is greater than Jonah.
⁴²南方的女王，在審判時，將同這一代人起來，而定他們的罪，因為她從地極而來，聽撒羅滿的智慧；看，這裏有一位大於撒羅滿的！	⁴²At the judgment, the Queen of the South will stand up and condemn you. She came from the ends of the earth to listen to the wisdom of Solomon, and here there is greater than Solomon.
⁴³邪魔由人身上出來以後，走遍乾旱之地，尋找一個安息之所，卻沒有尋着；	⁴³When an evil spirit goes out of a person, it wanders over arid wastelands looking for a place to rest but it cannot find one.
⁴⁴他於是說：我要回到我出來的那間屋裏去。他來到後，見裏面空着，打掃乾淨，裝飾整齊，	⁴⁴Then it says to itself: 'I will go back to my house which I had to leave.' So it goes back and finds the house empty, clean, and in order.
⁴⁵就去，另外帶了七個比他更惡的魔鬼來，進去，住在那裏；那人末後的處境就比以前的更壞了。對這邪惡的世代也必是這樣。」	⁴⁵Off it goes again to bring back with it, this time, seven spirits, more evil than itself. They move in and settle there, so that this person is finally in a worse state than he was at the beginning. This is what will happen to this evil generation."
⁴⁶耶穌還同群眾說話的時候，看，他的母親和他的兄弟，站在外邊，想要同他說話。	⁴⁶While Jesus was still talking to the people, his mother and his brothers wanted to speak to him and they waited outside.
⁴⁷有人告訴他說：「看！你的母親同你的兄弟，站在外邊，想要同你說話。」	⁴⁷So someone said to him, "Your mother and your brothers are just outside; they want to speak with you."
⁴⁸他卻回答那告訴他的人說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的兄弟？」	⁴⁸Jesus answered, "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?"
⁴⁹遂伸出他的手，指着自己的門徒說：「看！我的母親，我的兄弟！	⁴⁹Then he pointed to his disciples and said, "Look! Here are my mother and my brothers.
⁵⁰不拘誰遵行我在天之父的意旨，他就是我的兄弟、姊妹和母親。」	⁵⁰Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is for me brother, sister, or mother."
