| 1耶穌從山上下來，有許多群眾跟隨他。 | 1When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him. |
| 2看，有一個癩病人前來叩拜耶穌說：「主！你若願意，就能潔淨我。」 | 2Then a leper came forward. He knelt before him and said, "Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean." |
| 3耶穌就伸手撫摸他說：「我願意，你潔淨了罷！」他的癩病立刻就潔淨了。 | 3Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, "I want to, be clean again." At that very moment the man was cleansed from his leprosy. |
| 4耶穌對他說：「小心，不要對任何人說！但去叫司祭檢驗你，獻上梅瑟所規定的禮物，給他們當做證據。」 | 4Then Jesus said to him, "See that you do not tell anyone, but go to the priest, have yourself declared clean, and offer the gift that Moses ordered as proof of it." |
| 5耶穌進了葛法翁，有一位百夫長來到他跟前，求他說： | 5When Jesus entered Capernaum, an army captain approached him to ask his help, |
| 6「主！我的僕人癱瘓了，躺在家裏，疼痛的很厲害。」 | 6"Sir, my servant lies sick at home. He is paralyzed and suffers terribly." |
| 7耶穌對他說：「我去治好他。」 | 7Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." |
| 8百夫長答說：「主！我不堪當你到舍下來，你只要說一句話，我的僕人就會好的。 | 8The captain answered, "I am not worthy to have you under my roof. Just give an order and my boy will be healed. |
| 9因為我雖是屬人權下的人，但是我也有士兵屬我權下；我對這個說：你去，他就去；對另一個說：你來，他就來；對我的奴僕說：你作這個，他就作。」 | 9For I myself, a junior officer, give orders to my soldiers. And if I say to one: 'Go,' he goes, and if I say to another: 'Come,' he comes, and to my servant: 'Do this,' he does it." |
| 10耶穌聽了，非常詫異，就對跟隨的人說：「我實在告訴你們：在以色列我從未遇見過一個人，有這樣大的信心。 | 10When Jesus heard this he was astonished and said to those who were following him, "I tell you, I have not found such faith in Israel. |
| 11我給你們說：將有許多人從東方和西方來，同亞巴郎、依撒格和雅各伯在天國裏一起坐席； | 11I say to you, many will come from east and west and sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob at the feast in the kingdom of heaven; |
| 12本國的子民，反要被驅逐到外邊黑暗裏；那裏要有哀號和切齒。」 | 12but the heirs of the kingdom will be thrown out into the darkness; there they will wail and grind their teeth." |
| 13耶穌遂對百夫長說：「你回去，就照你所信的，給你成就罷！」僕人就在那時刻痊癒了。 | 13Then Jesus said to the captain, "Go home now. As you believed, so let it be." And at that moment his servant was healed. |
| 14耶穌來到伯多祿家裏，看見伯多祿的岳母躺着發燒， | 14Jesus went to Peter's house and found Peter's mother-in-law in bed with fever. |
| 15就摸了她的手，熱症就從她身上退了。她便起來伺候他。 | 15He took her by the hand and the fever left her; she got up and began to wait on him. |
| 16到了晚上，人們給他送來了許多附魔的人，他一句話就驅逐了惡神；治好了一切有病的人。 | 16Towards evening they brought to Jesus many possessed by evil spirits, and with a word he drove out the spirits. He also healed all who were sick. |
| 17這樣，就應驗了那藉依撒意亞先知所說的話：「他承受我們的脆弱，擔荷了我們的疾病。」 | 17In doing this he fulfilled what was said by the prophet Isaiah: He bore our infirmities and took on himself our diseases. |
| 18耶穌看見許多群眾圍着自己，就吩咐往對岸去。 | 18When he saw the crowd press around him, Jesus gave orders to cross to the other shore. |
| 19有一位經師前來，對他說：「師傅，你不論往那裏去，我要跟隨你。」 | 19A teacher of the Law approached him and said, "Master, I will follow you wherever you go." |
| 20耶穌給他說：「狐狸有穴，天上的飛鳥有巢，但是人子卻沒有枕頭的地方。」 | 20Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head." |
| 21門徒中有一個對他說：「主，請許我先去埋葬我的父親。」 | 21Another disciple said to him, "Lord, let me go and bury my father first." |
| 22耶穌對他說：「你跟隨我罷！任憑死人去埋葬他們的死人！」 | 22But Jesus answered him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead." |
| 23耶穌上了船，他的門徒跟隨着他。 | 23Jesus got into the boat and his disciples followed him. |
| 24忽然海裏起了大震盪，以致那船為浪所掩蓋，耶穌卻睡着了。 | 24Without warning a fierce storm hit the lake, with waves sweeping the boat. But Jesus was asleep. |
| 25他們遂前來喚醒他說：「主！救命啊！我們要喪亡了。」 | 25They woke him and cried, "Lord save us! We are lost!" |
| 26耶穌對他們說：「小信德的人啊！你們為什麼膽怯？」就起來叱責風和海，遂大為平靜。 | 26But Jesus answered, "Why are you so afraid, you of little faith?" Then he stood up and ordered the wind and sea; and it became completely calm. |
| 27那些人驚訝說：「這是怎樣的一個人呢？竟連風和海也聽從他！」 | 27The people were astonished. They said, "What kind of man is he? Even the winds and the sea obey him." |
| 28耶穌來到對岸加達辣人的地方，有兩個附魔的人從墳墓裏走出，向他走來；他們異常兇猛，以致沒有人能從那條路上經過。 | 28When Jesus reached Gadara on the other side, he was met by two demoniacs who came out from the tombs. They were so fierce that no one dared to pass that way. |
| 29他們喊說：「天主子，我們與你有什麼相干？時期還沒有到，你就來這裏苦害我們嗎？」 | 29Suddenly they shouted, "What do you want with us, you, Son of God? Have you come to torture us before the time?" |
| 30離他們很遠，有一大群豬正在牧放。 | 30At some distance away there was a large herd of pigs feeding. |
| 31魔鬼懇求耶穌說：「你若驅逐我們，就趕我們進入豬群罷！」 | 31So the demons begged him, "If you drive us out, send us into that herd of pigs." |
| 32耶穌對他們說：「去罷！」魔鬼就出來進入豬內；忽然全群豬從山崖上直衝入海，死在水裏。 | 32Jesus ordered them, "Go." So they left and went into the pigs. The whole herd rushed down the cliff into the lake and drowned. |
| 33放豬的便逃走，來到城裏，把這一切和附魔人的事都報告了。 | 33The men in charge of them ran off to the town, where they told the whole story, also what had happened to the men possessed with the demons. |
| 34全城的人就出來會見耶穌，一見了他，就求他離開他們的境界。 | 34Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their area. |
