| 1上主對梅瑟和大司祭亞郎的兒子厄肋阿匝爾說： | 1Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest. He said: |
| 2「你們應將以色列子民全會眾，凡二十歲以上，在以色列中能上陣作戰的，按家族再行登記。 | 2"Take a census of all the community of Israel, by families: all those of twenty years and over, able to give military service." |
| 3梅瑟和司祭厄肋阿匝爾，就在約但河邊耶里哥的對面，摩阿布曠野內，統計了 | 3So Moses and Eleazar the priest enlisted the people in the plains of Moab, near the Jordan opposite Jericho as Yahweh had commanded Moses. |
| 4二十歲以上的人，照上主對梅瑟所吩咐的。從埃及國出來的以色列子民如下： | 4They counted the men twenty years and over among the Israelites who had come out of the land of Egypt. |
| 5以色列的長子勒烏本：勒烏本的子孫：屬哈諾客人的，有哈諾客家族；屬帕路的，有帕路家族； | 5Reuben, the firstborn of Israel. The tribe of Reuben: for Hanoch, the Hanochite clan; for Pallu, the Palluite clan; |
| 6屬赫茲龍的，有赫茲龍家族；屬加爾米的，有加爾米家族： | 6for Hezron, the Hezronite clan; for Carmi, the Carmite clan. |
| 7以上是勒烏本家族，登記的人數，共計四萬三千七百三十。 | 7These were the Reubenite clans. They numbered 43,730 men. |
| 8帕路的子孫：厄里雅布。 | 8The descendants of Pallu: Eliab. |
| 9厄里雅布的兒子是乃慕耳、達堂和阿彼蘭。達堂和阿彼蘭原是會眾推選的人，在科辣黑黨派違背上主時，起來反抗梅瑟和亞郎。 | 9The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. These two, Dathan and Abiram, councillors of the community, were the ones who rebelled against Moses and Aaron; they belonged to the followers of Korah who rebelled against Yahweh. |
| 10當時地裂開了口，將他們同科辣黑吞了下去；同時有火燒死了二百五十人：這樣全黨都消滅了，作為後人的鑑戒。 | 10The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them (Korah died with his followers), when fire destroyed the 250 men as a warning to the people. |
| 11但是科辣黑的兒子們卻沒有死亡。 | 11The sons of Korah were not killed. |
| 12西默盎的子孫：按照家族屬乃慕耳的，有乃慕耳家族；屬雅明的，有雅明家族；屬雅津的，有雅津家族； | 12The tribe of Simeon by clans: for Nemuel, the Nemuelite clan; for Jamin, the Jaminite clan; for Jachin, the Jachinite clan; |
| 13屬則辣黑的，有則辣黑家族；屬沙烏耳的，有沙烏耳家族： | 13for Zerah, the Zerahite clan; for Shaul, the Shaulite clan. |
| 14以上是西默盎家族，人數共計二萬二千二百。 | 14These were the Simeonite clans. They numbered 22,200 men. |
| 15加得的子孫：按照家族，屬責豐的，有責豐家族；屬哈基的，有哈基家族；屬叔尼的，有叔尼家族； | 15The tribe of Gad by clans: for Zephon, the Zephonite clan; for Haggi, the Haggite clan; for Shuni, the Shunite clan; |

| 22以上是猶大家族，登記的人數，共計七萬六千五百。 | 22These were the clans of Judah. They numbered 76,500 men. |
| 23依撒加爾的子孫：按照家族，屬托拉的，有托拉家族；屬普瓦的，有普瓦家族； | 23The tribe of Issachar, by clans: for Tola, the Tolaite clan; for Puvah, the Puvite clan; |
| 24屬雅叔布的，有雅叔布家族；屬史默龍的，有史默龍家族： | 24for Jashub, the Jashubite clan; for Shimron, the Shimronite clan. |

| 27以上是則步隆家族，登記的人數共計六萬五百。 | 27These were the clans of Zebulun. They numbered 60,500 men. |
| 28若瑟的子孫：按照家族，有默納協族和厄弗辣因族。 | 28The tribe of Joseph, by clans: Manasseh and Ephraim. |
| 29默納協的子孫：屬瑪基爾的，有瑪基爾家族；瑪基爾生了基肋阿得，屬基肋阿得的，有基肋阿得家族。 | 29The tribe of Manasseh: for Machir, the Machirite clan; Machir was the father of Gilead: for Gilead, the Gileadite clan. |

| 52上主訓示梅瑟說： | 52Yahweh spoke to Moses and said, |
| 53「你應照登記的名額，將土地分配給他們作為產業： | 53"The land is to be divided among the tribes as a heritage, according to the number of those registered. |
| 54人數多的應多給，人數少的應少給；各依照登記的名額分配產業。 | 54To a tribe large in number you are to give a large area of land; to a small one in number, a small area; to each the heritage will be in proportion to the number registered. |
| 55但還應抽籤來分配土地，各按宗族支系的名字領取產業。 | 55The dividing of the land is, however, to be done by lot. |
| 56看人數的多寡，來抽籤，給他們分配產業。」 | 56Each tribe is to receive its inheritance according to the number of men registered." |
| 57以下是依照家族登記的肋未人：屬革爾雄的，有革爾雄家族；屬刻哈特的，有刻哈特家族；屬默辣黎的，有默辣黎家族。 | 57These are, by clans, the Levites that were registered: for Gershon, the Gershonite clan; for Kohath, the Kohathite clan; for Merari, the Merarite clan. |
| 58以下是肋未的家族：里貝尼家族，赫貝龍家族，瑪赫里家族，慕史家族，科辣黑家族。刻哈特生了阿默蘭； | 58These are the Levite subclans: the Libnites, the Hebronites, the Mahlites, the Mushites, the Kohathites. Kohath was the father of Amram, |
| 59阿默蘭的妻子名叫約革貝得，是肋未的女兒，她在埃及出生，給阿默蘭生了亞郎、梅瑟和他們的姊妹米黎盎。 | 59who married Jochebed, descendant of Levi, born in Egypt. She bore Aaron, Moses and Miriam their sister. |
| 60亞郎生了納達布，阿彼胡、厄肋阿匝爾和依塔瑪爾。 | 60Aaron was the father of Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. |
| 61納達布和阿彼胡在上主面前獻了凡火，遭遇了死亡。 | 61Nadab and Abihu died when they offered unlawful fire before Yahweh. |
| 62凡一月以上的男子，登記的共計二萬三千；他們沒有登記在以色列子民的數目內，因為在以色列子民中沒有分得產業。 | 62Altogether there were registered 23,000 males of one month and over. They were listed separately from the rest of the Israelites, because they would receive no property in Israel. |
| 63這是梅瑟和司祭厄肋阿匝爾，在約但河邊，耶里哥的對面，摩阿布曠野內，所統計的以色列子民的人數。 | 63These were the men registered by Moses and Eleazar the priest who took this census of the Israelites in the plains of Moab, near the Jordan River, opposite Jericho. |
