²梅瑟記錄了他們遵上主的命啟營的出發點。以下是他們依次出發的行程：	²Moses followed Yahweh's instructions and wrote down the starting place for each stage of the journey. Here are the stages or, better, the starting places.
³他們於正月十五日由辣默色斯起程，即在逾越節第二日，以色列子民大膽地、當着眾埃及人的面出走了，	³They left Egypt on the fifteenth day of the first month of the year. On the day following the Passover, the people of Israel set out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,
⁴其時埃及人正在埋葬上主在他們中所擊殺的一切長子；上主也懲罰了他們的神祇。	⁴when they were burying their dead. For Yahweh had killed all their firstborn; he had also passed judgment on the gods of Egypt.
⁵以色列子民由辣默色斯起程，在穌苛特紮營。	⁵The people of Israel left Rameses and camped at Succoth.
⁶由穌苛特起程，在位於曠野邊界的厄堂紮營。	⁶Then they left Succoth and camped at Etham which is on the edge of the wilderness.
⁷由厄堂起程，轉向巴耳責豐的丕哈希洛特，在米革多耳對面紮營。	⁷They left Etham, turned back to Pi-hahiroth which faces Baal-zephon, and camped before Migdol.

³⁸亞郎大司祭依上主的命，上了曷爾山，死在那裏，時在以色列子民出埃及國後四十年五月初一日。	³⁸There Aaron, the priest, went up Mount Hor at Yahweh's command and there he died, in the fortieth year of the journey of the Israelites from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.
³⁹亞郎死在曷爾山上時，已一百二十三歲。	³⁹Aaron was 123 years old when he died at Mount Hor.
⁴⁰其時住在客納罕南部的客納罕人王阿辣得，聽說以色列子民來了。	⁴⁰The king of Arad, a Canaanite who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, was informed when the people of Israel arrived.
⁴¹他們再由曷爾山下起程，在匝耳摩納紮營。	⁴¹So they left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
⁴²由匝耳摩納起程，在普農紮營。	⁴²They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.
⁴³由普農起程，在敖波特紮營。	⁴³They left Punon and camped at Oboth.
⁴⁴由敖波特起程，在位於摩阿布邊境的依因阿巴陵紮營。	⁴⁴They left Oboth and camped in Moabite territory at Iye-abarim.
⁴⁵由依因阿巴陵起程，在狄朋加得紮營。	⁴⁵They left Iye-abarim and camped at Dibon-gad.
⁴⁶由狄朋加得起程，在阿耳孟狄貝拉塔因紮營。	⁴⁶They left Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim.

⁴⁹他們在摩阿布曠野裏，沿着約但河邊紮營，由貝特耶史摩特直到阿貝耳史廷。	⁴⁹There they camped near the Jordan between Bethha-jeshimoth and Abel-hashshittim, in the plains of Moab.
⁵⁰在耶里哥對面，約但河邊，摩阿布曠野內，上主訓示梅瑟說：	⁵⁰Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab, near the Jordan River opposite Jericho. He said:
⁵¹「你告訴以色列子民說：你們幾時過了約但河，進入客納罕地，	⁵¹"Say this to the people of Israel: When you have crossed the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
⁵²應由你們面前驅逐當地所有的居民，應毀壞他們的一切偶像，應打碎他們的一切鑄像，應剷除他們的一切丘壇。	⁵²you must drive out all the inhabitants of the country. You must destroy their stones, and their idols and all their places of worship.
⁵³你們要佔領那地方，住在那裏，因為我已將那地方給了你們，叫你們佔有。	⁵³You will take possession of this land and settle in it for I have given it to you for your own.
⁵⁴你們要按支派抽籤分配那地方：人數多的多給，人數少的少給。誰的籤落在那裏，那裏就屬於他。你們依照宗祖支派分配你們的產業。	⁵⁴You are to divide it by drawing lots among your clans. To a large clan you will give a larger piece of property, to a small clan a smaller one. Where the lot falls for each, that will be his. Make this division according to tribes.
⁵⁵但是，如果你們不把當地的居民由你們面前驅逐，那留下的居民，必要成為你們的眼中刺，腰間針，在你們住的地方內迫害你們；	⁵⁵But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the country, then those you have allowed to remain will be as splinters in your eyes and thorns in your side; they will harass you in the land where you are to live
