| 1基督耶穌的被囚者保祿，和弟茂德弟兄，致書給我們可愛的合作者費肋孟， | 1From Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy to Philemon, our friend and fellow worker, |
| 2並給姊妹阿丕雅，和我們的戰友阿爾希頗，以及在你家中的教會。 | 2to our dear sister Apphia, to Archippus faithful companion in our soldiering, and to all the Church gathered in your house. |
| 3願恩寵與平安，由天主我們的父及主耶穌基督賜與你們！ | 3Grace and peace be with you from God the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord. |
| 4在我的祈禱中記念你時，我常感謝我的天主， | 4I never cease to give thanks to my God when I remember you in my prayers, |
| 5因為，聽說你對主耶穌，和對眾聖徒所表現的愛德與信德。 | 5for I hear of your love and faith towards the Lord and all the holy ones. |
| 6我祈求天主，為使你因信德而懷有的慷慨發生功效，使你認清我們所能行的一切善事，都是為基督而行的。 | 6And I pray that the sharing of your faith may make known all the good that is ours in Christ. |
| 7弟兄，我由於你的愛德，確實獲得了極大的喜樂和安慰，因為藉着你，聖徒們的心都舒暢了。 | 7I had great satisfaction and comfort on hearing of your charity, because the hearts of the saints have been cheered by you, brother. |
| 8為此，我雖然在基督內，能放心大膽地命你去作這件該作的事， | 8Because of this, although in Christ I have the freedom to command what you should do, |
| 9可是，我這年老的保祿，如今且為基督耶穌作囚犯的，寧願因着愛德求你， | 9yet I prefer to request you in love. The one talking is Paul, the old man, now prisoner for Christ. |
| 10就是為我在鎖鏈中所生的兒子敖乃息摩來求你。 | 10And my request is on behalf of Onesimus, whose father I have become while I was in prison. |
| 11他曾一度為你是無用的，可是，如今為你為我都有用了； | 11This Onesimus has not been helpful to you, but now he will be helpful both to you and to me. |
| 12我現今把他給你打發回去，【你收下】他，他是我的心肝。 | 12In returning him to you, I am sending you my own heart. |
| 13我本來願意將他留在我這裏，叫他替你服侍我這為福音而被囚的人， | 13I would have liked to keep him at my side, to serve me on your behalf while I am in prison for the Gospel, |
| 14可是沒有你的同意，我什麼也不願意做，好叫你所行的善不是出於勉強，而是出於甘心。 | 14but I did not want to do anything without your agreement, nor impose a good deed upon you without your free consent. |
| 15也許他暫時離開了你，是為叫你永遠收下他， | 15Perhaps Onesimus has been parted from you for a while so that you may have him back forever, |
| 16不再當一個奴隸，而是超過奴隸，作可愛的弟兄：他為我特別可愛，但為你不拘是論肉身方面，或是論主方面，更加可愛。 | 16no longer as a slave, but better than a slave. For he is a very dear brother to me, and he will be even dearer to you. |
| 17所以，若你以我為同志，就收留他當作收留我罷！ | 17And so, because of our friendship, receive him as if he were I myself. |
| 18他若虧負了你或欠下你什麼，就算在我的賬上罷！ | 18And if he has caused any harm, or owes you anything, charge it to me. |
| 19我保祿親手簽字：「我必要償還。」至於你，你所欠於我的，竟是你本身；這我就不必對你說了！ | 19I, Paul, write this and sign it with my own hand: I will pay it... without further mention of your debt to me, which is you yourself. |
| 20弟兄！望你使我在主內得此恩惠，並在基督內使我的心舒暢！ | 20So, my brother, please do me this favor for the Lord's sake. Give me this comfort in Christ. |
| 21我自信你必聽從，纔給你寫了這信；我知道，就是超過我所說的，你也必作。 | 21Confident of your obedience I write to you, knowing you will do even more than I ask. |
| 22同時，也請你給我準備一個住處，因為我希望因你們的祈禱，主必要把我賜與你們。 | 22And one more thing, get a lodging ready for me because, thanks to all your prayers, I hope to return to you. |
| 23為基督耶穌與我一同被囚的厄帕夫辣、 | 23Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends greetings. |
| 24我的合作者馬爾谷、阿黎斯塔苛、德瑪斯、路加都問候你。 | 24So do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my assistants. |
| 25願主耶穌基督的恩寵，與你們的心靈同在！阿們。 | 25May the grace of the Lord Christ be with you. Amen! |
