| 1達味作，交與樂官。愚妄的人心中說：「沒有天主」；他們都喪盡天良，恣意作惡；行善的人實在找不到一個！ | 1The fool says in his heart, "God does not exist." All have strayed, all are perverted, there is no one who does good. |
| 2上主由高天俯視世人之子，察看有無尋覓天主的智者。 | 2The Lord looks down from heaven upon the race of Adam, to see if there are any who seek God and act wisely. |
| 3人人都離棄了正道，趨向邪惡：沒有一人行善，實在沒有一個。 | 3They have all turned aside: corrupt - all of them alike. |
| 4那些作奸犯科的人，吞我民如食饅頭；總不呼號上主的人，豈不是愚蠢糊塗？ | 4Will they ever learn - these doers of evil? For they devour my people, - that is their food - and do not call upon the Lord. |
| 5他們必然要驚慌失措，因上主喜愛義人家族。 | 5But suddenly terror strikes them: God was on the side of the just! |
| 6你們儘可鄙視貧苦者的主張，但上主卻要自作他們的保障。 | 6You may confound the hope of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge. |
| 7惟願以色列人的救援來自聖熙雍！一旦上主將自己民族的命運變更，雅各伯必將喜慶，以色列必將歡騰。 | 7Oh would that I see Israel's salvation coming from Zion! When the Lord brings home the exiles, what joy it will be for Jacob, what happiness for Israel! |
