羅馬書	Romans
¹那麼，我們可說什麼呢？我們要常留在罪惡中，好叫恩寵洋溢嗎？	¹Then, what shall we say? Shall we keep on sinning so that grace may come more abundantly?
²斷乎不可！我們這些死於罪惡的人，如何還能在罪惡中生活呢？	²Can we live again in sin? Of course not: we are now dead regarding sin.
³難道你們不知道：我們受過洗歸於基督耶穌的人，就是受洗歸於他的死亡嗎？	³You know that in baptism which unites us to Christ we are all baptized and plunged into his death.
⁴我們藉着洗禮已歸於死亡與他同葬了，為的是基督怎樣藉着父的光榮，從死者中復活了，我們也怎樣在新生活中度生。	⁴By this baptism in his death, we were buried with Christ, and, as Christ was raised from among the dead by the Glory of the Father, so we begin walking in a new life.
⁵如果我們藉着同他相似的死亡，已與他結合，也要藉着同他相似的復活與他結合，	⁵It was an image of his death when we were grafted in him, and so we will also share in his resurrection.
⁶因為我們知道，我們的舊人已與他同釘在十字架上了，使那屬罪惡的自我消逝，好叫我們不再作罪惡的奴隸，	⁶We know that our old self was crucified with Christ, so as to destroy what of us was sin, so that we may no longer serve sin -
⁷因為已死的人，便脫離了罪惡。	⁷if we are dead, we are no longer in debt to sin.
⁸所以，如果我們與基督同死，我們相信也要與他同生，	⁸But if we have died with Christ, we believe we will also live with him.
⁹因為我們知道：基督既從死者中復活，就不再死；死亡不再統治他了，	⁹We know that Christ, once risen from the dead, will not die again and death has no more dominion over him.
¹⁰因為他死，是死於罪惡，僅僅一次；他活，是活於天主。	¹⁰There has been death: a death to sin once for all; there is life: a life in God.
¹¹你們也要這樣看自己是死於罪惡，在基督耶穌內活於天主的人。	¹¹So you, too, must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
¹²所以不要讓罪惡在你們必死的身體上為王，致令你們順從它的情慾，	¹²Do not allow sin any control over your mortal being; do not submit yourselves to its evil inclinations,
¹³也不要把你們的肢體交與罪惡，作不義的武器；但該將你們自己獻於天主，有如從死者中復活的人，將你們的肢體獻於天主，當作正義的武器：	¹³and do not give your members over to sin, as instruments to do evil. On the contrary, offer yourselves as persons returned from death to life, and let the members of your body be as holy instruments at the service of God.
¹⁴罪惡不應再統治你們，因為你們已不在法律權下，而是在恩寵權下。	¹⁴Sin will not lord it over you again, for you are not under the law, but under grace.
¹⁵那麼，我們因為不在法律權下，而在恩寵權下，就可以犯罪嗎？絕對不可！	¹⁵I ask again: are we to sin because we are not under the Law, but under grace? Certainly not.
¹⁶難道你們不知道：你們將自己獻給誰當奴隸，而服從他，就成了你們所服從者的奴隸，或作罪惡的奴隸，以致死亡；或作順命的奴隸，以得正義嗎？	¹⁶If you have given yourselves up to someone as his slave, you are to obey the one who commands you, aren't you? Now with sin you go to death, and by accepting faith you go the right way.
¹⁷感謝天主，雖然你們曾作過罪惡的奴隸，現今你們卻從心裏聽從那傳給你們的教理規範，	¹⁷Let us give thanks to God for, after having sin as your master, you have been given to another, that is, to the doctrine of faith, to which you listen willingly.
¹⁸脫離罪惡，獲得了自由，作了正義的奴隸。	¹⁸And being free from sin, you began to serve true righteousness -
¹⁹為了你們本性的軟弱，我且按常情來說：你們從前怎樣將你們的肢體當作奴隸，獻於不潔和不法，行不法的事；如今也要怎樣將你們的肢體當作奴隸，獻於正義，行聖善的事。	¹⁹you see that I speak in a very human way, taking into account that you are not fully mature. There was a time when you let your members be slaves of impurity and disorder, walking in the way of sin; convert them now into servants of righteousness, to the point of becoming holy.
²⁰當你們作罪惡的奴隸時，不受正義的束縛；	²⁰When you were slaves of sin, you did not feel under obligation to righteousness,
²¹但那時你們得了什麼效果？只是叫你們現在以那些事為可恥，因為其結局就是死亡；	²¹but what were the fruits of those actions of which you are now ashamed? Such things bring death.
²²可是現在，你們脫離了罪惡，獲得了自由，作了天主的奴隸，你們所得的效果是使你們成聖，結局就是永生。	²²Now, however, you have been freed from sin and serve God. You are bearing fruit and growing in holiness, and the result will be life everlasting.
²³因為罪惡的薪俸是死亡，但是天主的恩賜是在我們的主基督耶穌內的永生。	²³So on one side is Sin: its reward, death; on the other side is God: he gives us, by grace, life everlasting in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
