1They brought in the ark of God and set it within the tent which David had pitched for it. Then they offered up holocausts and peace offerings to God. |
| 2達味獻完了全燔祭與和平祭，奉上主的名祝福了百姓； |
2When David had finished offering up the holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD, |
| 3以後分給全以色列，不論男女，每人一塊餅，一塊肉，一塊葡萄乾餅。 |
3and distributed to every Israelite, to every man and every woman, a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a raisin cake. |
| 4達味又派定了一些肋未人，在上主的約櫃前供職，叫他們讚美、稱謝、頌揚上主，以色列的天主： |
4He now appointed certain Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate, thank, and praise the LORD, the God of Israel. |
| 5為首的是阿撒夫、則加黎雅為副，其次是烏齊耳、舍米辣摩特、耶希耳、瑪提提雅、厄里阿布、貝納雅、敖貝得厄東和耶依耳；他們鼓瑟彈琴，阿撒夫敲鈸。 |
5Asaph was their chief, and second to him were Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. These were to play on harps and lyres, while Asaph was to sound the cymbals, |
| 6司祭貝納雅和雅哈齊耳在天主的約櫃前，不斷吹號筒。 |
6and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel were to be the regular trumpeters before the ark of the covenant of God. |
| 7那一天，達味初次任命阿撒夫及其同族兄弟，向上主唱這首稱謝歌： |
7Then, on that same day, David appointed Asaph and his brethren to sing for the first time these praises of the LORD: |
| 8「你們要稱謝上主，呼號他的聖名，在萬民中宣揚他的功行。 |
8 Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds. |
| 9要歌頌他，稱揚他，申述他的一切奇蹟。 |
9Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds. |
| 10要以他的聖名為榮，願尋求上主的，心中喜樂！ |
10Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD! |
| 11你們要尋求上主和他的德能，要時時尋求他的面容。 |
11Look to the LORD in his strength; seek to serve him constantly. |
| 12天主的僕人以色列的後裔，天主的被選者雅各伯的子孫， |
12Recall the wondrous deeds that he has wrought, his portents, and the judgments he has uttered, |
| 13你們要記憶他所行的奇事，他的異蹟和他口中的斷語。 |
13You descendants of Israel, his servants, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones! |
| 14他是上主、我們的天主，他的判斷達於四方。 |
14He, the LORD, is our God; throughout the earth his judgments prevail. |
| 15他永遠記憶他的盟約，萬世不忘所許的諾言， |
15He remembers forever his covenant which he made binding for a thousand generations-- |
| 16即與亞巴郎所立的盟約，向依撒格所許的誓言， |
16Which he entered into with Abraham and by his oath to Isaac; |
| 17為雅各伯定為律例，為以色列定為永久的盟約， |
17Which he established for Jacob by statute, for Israel as an everlasting covenant, |
| 18說我必將客納罕地賜給你，作為你們的一分產業。 |
18Saying, "To you will I give the land of Canaan as your allotted inheritance." |
| 19當時他們雖然人丁有限，數目稀少，還在作那地的旅客， |
19When they were few in number, a handful, and strangers there, |
| 20從這族走到那族，從這國移到那國。 |
20Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, |
| 21他不但未容許任何人壓迫他們，而且為了他們，還懲戒列王說： |
21He let no one oppress them, and for their sake he rebuked kings: |
| 22不要觸犯我的受傅者，不要傷害我的先知。 |
22"Touch not my anointed, and to my prophets do no harm." |
| 23大地都要歌頌上主，天天宣揚他的救恩。 |
23Sing to the LORD, all the earth, announce his salvation, day after day |
| 24在列邦中傳述他的光榮，在萬民中闡揚他的奇事。 |
24Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds. |
| 25因為上主是偉大的，應極受讚美，應受敬畏超越眾神。 |
25For great is the LORD and highly to be praised; and awesome is he, beyond all gods. |
| 26因為列族的神盡屬虛無，唯獨上主造了諸天。 |
26For all the gods of the nations are things of nought, but the LORD made the heavens. |
| 27尊榮及威嚴在他面前，能力和歡樂在他聖所內。 |
27Splendor and majesty go before him; praise and joy are in his holy place. |
| 28萬邦各族啊！你們應將光榮能力歸於上主，都歸於上主； |
28Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and praise; |
| 29應將上主的名應得的尊榮，歸於上主，帶着獻儀到他面前，以聖潔的華飾敬拜上主。 |
29Give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts, and enter his presence; worship the LORD in holy attire. |
| 30大地在他面前應該戰慄，是他使世界堅立，不致動搖。 |
30Tremble before him, all the earth; he has made the world firm, not to be moved. |
| 31願諸天喜樂，願大地歡騰，願人在列族中說：上主為王！ |
31Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let them say among the nations: The LORD is king. |
| 32願滄海及充滿其中的一切，澎湃作響；願田疇和田間的一切，歡欣踴躍！ |
32Let the sea and what fills it resound; let the plains rejoice and all that is in them! |
| 33願森林中的樹木，在上主面前歡呼歌唱！因為他已降臨審判大地。 |
33Then shall all the trees of the forest exult before the LORD, for he comes: he comes to rule the earth. |
| 34你們應當稱謝上主，因為他是至善的，因為他的仁慈永遠常存。 |
34Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his kindness endures forever; |
| 35你們要說：拯救我們的天主，拯救我們；從異民中召集我們，救出我們，好讓我們稱頌你的聖名，以讚美你為誇耀！ |
35And say, "Save us, O God, our savior, gather us and deliver us from the nations, That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you." |
| 36「上主，以色列的天主，應受讚頌，從永遠直到永遠！」全體人民答說：「阿們。願上主受讚美！」 |
36Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, through all eternity! Let all the people say, Amen! Alleluia. |
| 37以後，達味在那裏，即在上主的約櫃前，委派阿撒夫及其同族兄弟，天天按照規定，不斷在約櫃前供職； |
37Then David left Asaph and his brethren there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister before the ark regularly according to the daily ritual; |
| 38還有敖貝得厄東和他的同族兄弟六十八人。又派耶杜通的兒子敖貝得厄東，還有曷撒為守衛。 |
38he also left there Obed-edom and sixty-eight of his brethren, including Obed-edom, son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, to be gatekeepers. |
| 39派司祭匝多克與其弟兄眾司祭，在基貝紅高處上主的帳幕前， |
39But the priest Zadok and his priestly brethren he left before the Dwelling of the LORD on the high place at Gibeon, |
| 40在全燔祭壇上，每日早晚按上主法律書上吩咐以色列所寫的，常向上主獻全燔祭。 |
40to offer holocausts to the LORD on the altar of holocausts regularly, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the law of the LORD which he has decreed for Israel. |
| 41與他們一起的，還有赫曼、耶杜通及其他被選登記的人，專為稱頌上主：「因為他的仁慈永遠常存。」 |
41With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the others who were chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "because his kindness endures forever," |
| 42他們吹號敲鈸，演奏各種樂器，歌頌天主。耶杜通的兒子作守衛。 |
42with trumpets and cymbals for accompaniment, and instruments for the sacred chant. The sons of Jeduthun kept the gate. |
| 43以後，民眾各自回家，達味也回去祝福自己的家。 |
43Then all the people departed, each to his own home, and David returned to bless his household. |
