| 1當我們坐在巴比倫河畔，一想起熙雍即淚流滿面。 |
1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat mourning and weeping when we remembered Zion. |
| 2在那地的楊柳間，掛起我們的琴絃。 |
2 On the poplars of that land we hung up our harps. |
| 3因那些俘虜我們的，要我們唱歌，那些迫害我們的，還要我們奏樂：快些來給我們唱一支熙雍的歌！ |
3There our captors asked us for the words of a song; Our tormentors, for a joyful song: "Sing for us a song of Zion!" |
| 4但我們身處外鄉異域，怎能謳唱上主的歌曲？ |
4But how could we sing a song of the LORD in a foreign land? |
| 5耶路撒冷！我如果將你忘掉，願我的右手枯焦！ |
5If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand wither. |
| 6我若不懷念你，不以耶路撒冷為喜樂，就寧願我的舌頭緊緊貼在我的上顎！ |
6May my tongue stick to my palate if I do not remember you, If I do not exalt Jerusalem beyond all my delights. |
| 7上主，求你要記住厄東的子民，在耶路撒冷蒙難的時辰， 他們曾喊叫說：拆毀，拆毀！夷為平地，一直見到基礎， |
7Remember, LORD, against Edom that day at Jerusalem. They said: "Level it, level it down to its foundations!" |
| 8你這只知破壞的巴比倫女子！誰若依照你加給我們的災痍，也照樣報復於你，他就得福祺。 |
8Fair Babylon, you destroyer, happy those who pay you back the evil you have done us! |
| 9誰若抓起你的嬰兒幼子，摔在盤石上，他就得福祺！ |
9 Happy those who seize your children and smash them against a rock. |
