| 1上主必要憐恤雅各伯，再揀選以色列，使他們安居在自己的國土；外方人要與他們聯合，加入雅各伯的家族。 |
1When the LORD has pity on Jacob and again chooses Israel and settles them on their own soil, the aliens will join them and be counted with the house of Jacob. |
| 2選民要接受他們，要帶領他們回歸故里；以色列家族，在上主的國土內，要佔有他們為奴婢；於是以色列人要俘擄那俘擄過他們的人，要統治壓迫他們的人。 |
2The house of Israel will take them and bring them along to its place, and possess them as male and female slaves on the Lord's soil, making captives of its captors and ruling over its oppressors. |
| 3當上主賜你擺脫困苦、憂患和你受的苦役時，那天， |
3On the day the LORD relieves you of sorrow and unrest and the hard service in which you have been enslaved, |
| 4你要對巴比倫王高唱這首諷刺詩說：怎麼，暴虐者住手了！強橫止息了！ |
4 you will take up this taunt-song against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has reached his end! how the turmoil is stilled! |
| 5邪惡者的棍棒，統治者的權杖，已為上主折斷， |
5The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the staff of the tyrants |
| 6就是那懷着怒氣，三番五次痛擊過萬民，在忿恨中以無情的殘虐，蹂躪過萬邦的棍棒。 |
6That struck the peoples in wrath relentless blows; That beat down the nations in anger, with oppression unchecked. |
| 7大地安謐寧靜，人人興高采烈； |
7The whole earth rests peacefully, song breaks forth; |
| 8連松樹和黎巴嫩的香柏也都因你而喜慶：「自從你仆倒後，再沒有誰上我們這裏來砍伐！」 |
8The very cypresses rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon: "Now that you are laid to rest, there will be none to cut us down." |
| 9地下的陰府為了你而激動，為歡迎你的來臨；並為了你，喚醒幽魂及地上所有的貴卿，使列國的君王由自己的寶座上起立； |
9The nether world below is all astir preparing for your coming; It awakens the shades to greet you, all the leaders of the earth; It has the kings of all nations rise from their thrones. |
| 10眾人都開口對你說：「連你也衰弱得和我們一樣啊！你也與我們相同啊！」 |
10All of them speak out and say to you, "You too have become weak like us, you are the same as we. |
| 11你的豪華，你琴瑟的樂聲，也墮入陰府；你下面舖的是蛆，上面蓋的是蟲。 |
11Down to the nether world your pomp is brought, the music of your harps. The couch beneath you is the maggot, your covering, the worm." |
| 12朝霞的兒子──晨星！你怎會從天墜下？傾覆萬邦者！你怎麼也被砍倒在地？ |
12 How have you fallen from the heavens, O morning star, son of the dawn! How are you cut down to the ground, you who mowed down the nations! |
| 13你心中曾說過：「我要直沖霄漢，高置我的御座在天主的星宿以上；我要坐在盛會的山上，極北之處； |
13 You said in your heart: "I will scale the heavens; Above the stars of God I will set up my throne; I will take my seat on the Mount of Assembly, in the recesses of the North. |
| 14我要升越雲表，與至高者相平衡！」 |
14I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will be like the Most High!" |
| 15然而，你卻下到了陰府，深淵的極處。 |
15Yet down to the nether world you go to the recesses of the pit! |
| 16看見你的，必注視你，仔細端詳你說：「這不是那使大地戰慄，列國動盪， |
16When they see you they will stare, pondering over you: "Is this the man who made the earth tremble, and kingdoms quake? |
| 17化世界為荒野，摧毀城邑，不為俘囚開放監獄的人嗎？」 |
17Who made the world a desert, razed its cities, and gave his captives no release? |
| 18萬邦的君王都在榮耀中安葬，各在自己的陰宅裏； |
18All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb; |
| 19但是你卻被拋於墳外，像一個叫人厭惡的流產胎兒，為刀劍殺戮的死者所掩蓋，有如遭踐踏的死屍。連那些被拋在石坑裏的， |
19But you are cast forth without burial, loathsome and corrupt, Clothed as those slain at sword-point, a trampled corpse. Going down to the pavement of the pit, |
| 20你也不得與他們一同埋葬，因為你破壞了你的國土，殘殺了你的人民：惡人的後代永不為人所提念。 |
20you will never be one with them in the grave." For you have ruined your land, you have slain your people! Let him not be named forever, that scion of an evil race! |
| 21你們應為他們的兒子準備屠場，因為他們的父親有了罪孽；他們決不能再興起，佔據大地，而使地面滿是荒涼。 |
21Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and possess the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. |
| 22我要起來攻擊他們──萬軍上主的斷語──我要抹去巴比倫的名號、遺民、後裔和子孫──上主的斷語。 |
22I will rise up against them, says the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, progeny and offspring, says the LORD. |
| 23我要使她成為刺蝟的領土和池沼，我以毀滅的掃帚將她掃淨──萬軍上主的斷語。 |
23I will make it a haunt of hoot owls and a marshland; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction, says the LORD of hosts. |
| 24萬軍的上主起誓說：「實在，我怎樣想，必怎樣實現；我怎樣計劃，必怎樣成功： |
24The LORD of hosts has sworn: As I have resolved, so shall it be; As I have proposed, so shall it stand: |
| 25我要在我的國土內粉碎亞述，在我的山嶺上將她踐踏；她的重擔必要由他們肩上卸下。」 |
25I will break the Assyrian in my land and trample him on my mountains; |
| 26這是對全地所決定的計劃，這是向萬邦所伸展的手臂， |
26 He shall pass through it hard-pressed and hungry, and in his hunger he shall become enraged, and curse his king and his gods. He shall look upward, but there shall be strict darkness without any dawn; |
| 27因為萬軍的上主已決定，誰能阻止？他的手已伸出，誰能使它收回？ |
27He shall gaze at the earth, but there shall be distress and darkness, with the light blacked out by its clouds. |
| 28在阿哈次駕崩那年有以下這個神諭： |
28Then his yoke shall be removed from them, and his burden from their shoulder. |
| 29「全體培肋舍特啊！你不要因為打擊你的棍棒折斷了就喜悅，因為由蛇的根子將生出毒蝮，，而牠的子息必是飛龍。 |
29This is the plan proposed for the whole earth, and this the hand outstretched over all nations. |
| 30貧苦的人在我的牧場上必得飼養，窮困的人要泰然安息；但是我要以饑荒餓死你的餘生，殺絕你的遺民。 |
30The LORD of hosts has planned; who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out; who can turn it back? |
| 31門啊！哀號罷！城啊！悲鳴罷！全體培肋舍特啊！戰慄罷！因為有煙從北而來，在她的隊伍中沒有落伍者。」 |
31 In the year that King Ahaz died, there came this oracle: |
| 32然而要怎樣答覆外邦的使者？「上主建立了熙雍，使他民族中的憂患者，在那裏獲得保護。」 |
32 Rejoice not, O Philistia, not a man of you, that the rod which smote you is broken; For out of the serpent's root shall come an adder, its fruit shall be a flying saraph. |
