| 2由一切潔淨牲畜中，各取公母七對；由那些不潔淨的牲畜中，各取公母一對； | 2Of every clean animal, take with you seven pairs, a male and its mate; and of the unclean animals, one pair, a male and its mate; |
| 3由天空的飛鳥中，也各取公母七對；好在全地面上傳種。 | 3likewise, of every clean bird of the air, seven pairs, a male and a female, and of all the unclean birds, one pair, a male and a female. Thus you will keep their issue alive over all the earth. |
| 4因為還有七天，我要在地上降雨四十天四十夜，消滅我在地面上所造的一切生物。」 | 4Seven days from now I will bring rain down on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and so I will wipe out from the surface of the earth every moving creature that I have made." |
| 5諾厄全照上主吩咐他的做了。 | 5Noah did just as the LORD had commanded him. |
| 6當洪水在地上氾濫時，諾厄已六百歲。 | 6Noah was six hundred years old when the flood waters came upon the earth. |
| 7諾厄和他的兒子，他的妻子和他的兒媳，同他進了方舟，為躲避洪水。 | 7Together with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, Noah went into the ark because of the waters of the flood. |
| 8潔淨的牲畜和不潔淨的牲畜，飛鳥和各種在地上爬行的動物， | 8Of the clean animals and the unclean, of the birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, |
| 9一對一對地同諾厄進了方舟；都是一公一母，照天主對他所吩咐的。 | 9(two by two) male and female entered the ark with Noah, just as the LORD had commanded him. |
| 10七天一過，洪水就在地上氾濫。 | 10As soon as the seven days were over, the waters of the flood came upon the earth. |
| 11諾厄六百歲那一年，二月十七日那天，所有深淵的泉水都冒出，天上的水閘都開放了； | 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month: it was on that day that All the fountains of the great abyss burst forth, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. |
| 12大雨在地上下了四十天四十夜。 | 12For forty days and forty nights heavy rain poured down on the earth. |
| 13正在這一天，諾厄和他的兒子閃、含、耶斐特，他的妻子和他的三個兒媳，一同進了方舟。 | 13On the precise day named, Noah and his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of Noah's sons had entered the ark, |

| 15一切有生氣有血肉的，都一對一對地同諾厄進了方舟。 | 15Pairs of all creatures in which there was the breath of life entered the ark with Noah. |
| 16凡有血肉的，都是一公一母地進了方舟，如天主對諾厄所吩咐的。隨後上主關了門。 | 16Those that entered were male and female, and of all species they came, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in. |
| 17洪水在地上氾濫了四十天；水不斷增漲，浮起了方舟，方舟遂由地面上升起。 | 17The flood continued upon the earth for forty days. As the waters increased, they lifted the ark, so that it rose above the earth. |
| 18洪水洶湧，在地上猛漲，方舟漂浮在水面上。 | 18The swelling waters increased greatly, but the ark floated on the surface of the waters. |
| 19洪水在地上一再猛漲，天下所有的高山也都沒了頂； | 19Higher and higher above the earth rose the waters, until all the highest mountains everywhere were submerged, |
| 20洪水高出淹沒的群山十有五肘。 | 20the crest rising fifteen cubits higher than the submerged mountains. |
| 21凡地上行動而有血肉的生物：飛禽、牲畜、野獸，在地上爬行的爬蟲，以及所有的人全滅亡了； | 21All creatures that stirred on earth perished: birds, cattle, wild animals, and all that swarmed on the earth, as well as all mankind. |
| 22凡在旱地上以鼻呼吸的生靈都死了。 | 22Everything on dry land with the faintest breath of life in its nostrils died out. |
| 23這樣，天主消滅了在地面上的一切生物，由人以至於牲畜、爬蟲以及天空中的飛鳥，這一切都由地上消滅了，只剩下諾厄和同他在方舟內的人物。 | 23The LORD wiped out every living thing on earth: man and cattle, the creeping things and the birds of the air; all were wiped out from the earth. Only Noah and those with him in the ark were left. |
| 24洪水在地上氾濫了一百五十天。 | 24The waters maintained their crest over the earth for one hundred and fifty days, |
