| 1以色列子民！你們應聽從上主關於你們，即關於我由埃及國領出來的全體民族所說的話： |
1Hear this word, O men of Israel, that the LORD pronounces over you, over the whole family that I brought up from the land of Egypt: |
| 2「由世界上一切種族中，我只揀選了你們，為此，我必懲罰你們的罪惡。 |
2 You alone have I favored, more than all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your crimes. |
| 3二人除非預約，豈能同行？ |
3Do two walk together unless they have agreed? |
| 4獅子若無獵物，豈能在林中咆哮？幼獅若非捕到食物，豈能在洞中吼叫？ |
4Does a lion roar in the forest when it has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from its den unless it has seized something? |
| 5雀鳥若無餌食，豈能落在地上？機檻若無所獲，豈能由地上翻起？ |
5Is a bird brought to earth by a snare when there is no lure for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground without catching anything? |
| 6如在城中吹起號角，人民豈不恐怖？如城裏發生災禍，豈不是上主所為？ |
6 If the trumpet sounds in a city, will the people not be frightened? If evil befalls a city, has not the LORD caused it? |
| 7的確，吾主上主若不先將自己的計劃啟示給自己的先知，什麼也不作。 |
7Indeed, the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants, the prophets. |
| 8獅子咆哮了，誰不害怕？吾主上主發了言，誰能不傳他的話？」 |
8The lion roars-- who will not be afraid! The Lord GOD speaks-- who will not prophesy! |
| 9「你們要在亞述和埃及的宮殿高處宣布說：你們應聚集在撒瑪黎雅的山上，觀看那裏的混亂和其中的殘暴。 |
9 Proclaim this in the castles of Ashdod, in the castles of the land of Egypt: "Gather about the mountain of Samaria, and see the great disorders within her, the oppression in her midst." |
| 10他們不知行正直的事──上主的斷語──只知在宮殿內積累強暴與欺壓。 |
10For they know not how to do what is right, says the LORD, Storing up in their castles what they have extorted and robbed. |
| 11因此，吾主上主這樣說：敵人要圍困此地，推翻你的堡壘，搶掠你的宮殿。 |
11Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: An enemy shall surround the land, and strip you of your strength, and pillage your castles, |
| 12上主這樣說：牧人怎樣由獅子口中搶救出兩條羊腿，或一塊羊耳，以色列子民，即在撒瑪黎雅斜倚在安樂椅角上，或大馬士革榻上的人，也要怎樣被救出。 |
12Thus says the LORD: As the shepherd snatches from the mouth of the lion a pair of legs or the tip of an ear of his sheep, So the Israelites who dwell in Samaria shall escape with the corner of a couch or a piece of a cot. |
| 13你們靜聽，並對雅各伯家作証──吾主上主萬軍的天主的斷語── |
13Hear and bear witness against the house of Jacob, says the Lord GOD, the God of hosts: |
| 14在我懲罰以色列罪惡之日，我必毀壞貝特耳的祭壇，祭壇的角必被打落在地上。 |
14On the day when I punish Israel for his crimes, I will visit also the altars of Bethel: The horns of the altar shall be broken off and fall to the ground. |
| 15我要破壞過冬和過夏的別墅，象牙宮也必遭毀壞，高樓大廈也必蕩然無存」──上主的斷語。 |
15 Then will I strike the winter house and the summer house; The ivory apartments shall be ruined, and their many rooms shall be no more, says the LORD. |
