哈蓋	Haggai
¹七月二十一日，上主有話藉哈蓋先知說：	¹on the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai:
²「請你對沙耳提耳的兒子猶大省長則魯巴貝耳，和約匝達克的兒子大司祭耶叔亞以及遺民說：	²Tell this to the governor of Judah, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, and to the high priest Joshua, son of Jehozadak, and to the remnant of the people:
³你們這些遺民中，凡見過這座殿宇在昔日的光榮之中的，你們現在看它怎樣？在你們眼中，豈不是如沒有一樣？	³Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem like nothing in your eyes?
⁴但是如今，則魯巴貝耳，努力！──上主的斷語。約匝達克的兒子大司祭耶叔亞，努力！境內全體民眾，努力！──上主的斷語。努力工作罷！因為我與你們同在──萬軍上主的斷語。	⁴But now take courage, Zerubbabel, says the LORD, and take courage, Joshua, high priest, son of Jehozadak, And take courage, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work! For I am with you, says the LORD of hosts.
⁵【這是我在你們出離埃及時，與你們訂立的盟約：】我的神常存在你們中間，你們不要害怕。	⁵This is the pact that I made with you when you came out of Egypt, And my spirit continues in your midst; do not fear!
⁶因為萬軍的上主這樣說：再過不久，我要震動天地海陸，	⁶ For thus says the LORD of hosts: One moment yet, a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.
⁷震動萬民，使萬民的珍寶運來；我必使這殿宇充滿榮耀──萬軍的上主說。	⁷I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will come in, And I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.
⁸銀子是我的，金子也是我的──萬軍上主的斷語。	⁸Mine is the silver and mine the gold, says the LORD of hosts.
⁹這座後起的殿宇的光榮，比以前那座所享有的還要大──萬軍的上主說；在此地我要頒賜和平──萬軍上主的斷語。」	⁹Greater will be the future glory of this house than the former, says the LORD of hosts; And in this place I will give you peace, says the LORD of hosts.
¹⁰達理阿王二年九月二十四日，上主的話傳給哈蓋先知說：	¹⁰On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Haggai:
¹¹萬軍的上主這樣說：請你去詢問司祭們這件有關法律的事說：	¹¹Thus says the LORD of hosts: Ask the priests for a decision:
¹²「如果有人用自己的衣襟攜帶了聖肉，然後又用自己的衣襟接觸麵餅，或湯，或酒，或油，或其他的食物，這些東西是否也成了聖的？」司祭們答說：「不。」	¹² If a man carries sanctified flesh in the fold of his garment and the fold touches bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any other food, do they become sanctified? "No," the priests answered.
¹³哈蓋又問說：「如果一個因接觸屍體而陷於不潔的人，觸摸了這些東西，是否這些東西也成了不潔的？」司祭們答說：「成了不潔的。」	¹³Then Haggai said: If a person unclean from contact with a corpse touches any of these, do they become unclean? The priests answered, "They become unclean."
¹⁴於是哈蓋答說：「這百姓就是這樣，這民族在我面前就是這樣──上主的斷語；他們手中的一切工作都是這樣；凡他們在這裏所獻的，都是不潔的。	¹⁴Then Haggai continued: So is this people, and so is this nation in my sight, says the LORD: And so are all the works of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.
¹⁵但是現在，從今日起回頭想想：在上主的殿還沒有石上壘石以前，	¹⁵ But now, consider from this day forward. Before there was a stone laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD,
¹⁶那時你們怎樣？有人來收二十斗，卻只有十斗；有人來到榨油池舀五十桶卻只有二十桶。	¹⁶how did you fare? When one went to a heap of grain for twenty measures, it would yield but ten; When another went to the vat to draw fifty measures, there would be but twenty.
¹⁷我以熱風，以霉爛，以冰雹打擊了你們手中的一切工作，而你們仍沒有歸向我──上主的斷語。	¹⁷I struck you in all the works of your hands with blight, searing wind, and hail, yet you did not return to me, says the LORD.
¹⁸請你們由今日起，留心注意，即由九月二十四日，上主殿宇的奠基日起，請你們留心注意：	¹⁸ (Consider from this day forward: from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month. From the day on which the temple of the LORD was founded, consider!)
¹⁹倉房裏不是還沒有種子嗎？葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹和橄欖樹，不是還沒有結果子嗎？從今天起，我必要祝福你！」	¹⁹Indeed, the seed has not sprouted, nor have the vine, the fig, the pomegranate and the olive tree yet borne. From this day, I will bless!
²⁰同月二十四日，上主的話再傳給哈蓋說：	²⁰ The message of the LORD came a second time to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month:
²¹你要向猶大省長則魯巴貝耳說：我要震動天地，	²¹Tell this to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah: I will shake the heavens and the earth;
²²推翻列國的寶座；我要毀滅異邦列國的勢力，我要推翻戰車和駕車的人，戰馬與騎士個個必倒在自己兄弟的刀下。	²²I will overthrow the thrones of kingdoms, destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations. I will overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the riders with their horses shall go down by one another's sword.
²³在那一天──萬軍上主的斷語──沙耳提耳的兒子，我的僕人則魯巴貝耳！我必提拔你──上主的斷語──我必以你作印璽，因為我揀選了你──萬軍上主的斷語。	²³ On that day, says the LORD of hosts, I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, my servant, says the LORD, And I will set you as a signet ring; for I have chosen you, says the LORD of hosts.
