| 1又有萬軍上主的話： |
1This word of the LORD of hosts came: Thus says the LORD of hosts: |
| 2萬軍的上主這樣說：「我以極度的妒愛，愛着熙雍，為了她我發了很大的妒恨。 |
2I am intensely jealous for Zion, stirred to jealous wrath for her. |
| 3上主這樣說：我要返回熙雍，住在耶路撒冷；耶路撒冷將稱為『忠城』，萬軍上主的山將稱為『聖山』。」 |
3Thus says the LORD: I will return to Zion, and I will dwell within Jerusalem; Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain. |
| 4萬軍的上主這樣說：「將有老夫老婦坐在耶路撒冷各街市上，每人因年高老邁，手中扶着拐杖； |
4Thus says the LORD of hosts: Old men and old women, each with staff in hand because of old age, shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem. |
| 5城裏街市上，都要滿了男女兒童，在街市上遊戲。 |
5The city shall be filled with boys and girls playing in her streets. |
| 6萬軍的上主這樣說：到那些時日，這事在這百姓的遺民眼中是件奇事，難道在我眼中也是件奇事嗎？──萬軍上主的斷語。 |
6Thus says the LORD of hosts: Even if this should seem impossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people, shall it in those days be impossible in my eyes also, says the LORD of hosts? |
| 7萬軍的上主這樣說：看，我要由日出之地和日落之地救回我的百姓； |
7Thus says the LORD of hosts: Lo, I will rescue my people from the land of the rising sun, and from the land of the setting sun. |
| 8我要本着忠實和正義，領他們回來，住在耶路撒冷；他們要作我的百姓，我要作他們的天主」。 |
8I will bring them back to dwell within Jerusalem. They shall be my people, and I will be their God, with faithfulness and justice. |
| 9萬軍的上主這樣說：「當建築萬軍上主的殿，奠基的時日，你們由先知的口中聽見這些話的人，應加強你們的手臂。 |
9Thus says the LORD of hosts: Let your hands be strong, you who in these days hear these words spoken by the prophets on the day when the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid for the building of the temple. |
| 10既使在這些日子以前，人得不到工資，牲畜也沒有報酬，出入的人因了仇敵都得不到平安，因為我曾使人互相攻擊； |
10For before those days there were no wages for men, or hire for beasts; those who came and went had no security from the enemy, for I set every man against his neighbor. |
| 11但是現今我對待這百姓的遺民，決不像往日一樣──萬軍上主的斷語。 |
11But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as in former days, says the LORD of hosts, |
| 12因為我要散播和平；葡萄樹必結果實，土地必有出產，蒼天必降甘露；我必要使這百姓的遺民獲得這一切。 |
12for it is the seedtime of peace: the vine shall yield its fruit, the land shall bear its crops, and the heavens shall give their dew; all these things I will have the remnant of the people possess. |
| 13猶大家和以色列家，昔日你們在異民中怎樣成為可詛咒的，將來我也要照樣拯救你們，使你們受人祝福；你們不要害怕，應加強你們的手臂！ |
13Just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you that you may be a blessing; do not fear, but let your hands be strong. |
| 14因為萬軍的上主這樣說：就如你們的祖先惹我發怒的時候，我曾決意降罰你們──萬軍的上主說──而毫不動情； |
14Thus says the LORD of hosts: As I determined to harm you when your fathers provoked me to wrath, says the LORD of hosts, and I did not relent, |
| 15照樣，在這些日子裏，我也要決意善待耶路撒冷和猶大家；你們不要害怕！ |
15so again in these days I have determined to favor Jerusalem and the house of Judah; do not fear! |
| 16你們應該遵行的訓令是：彼此談話要誠實，在城門口應作公正與和平的裁判； |
16These then are the things you should do: Speak the truth to one another; let there be honesty and peace in the judgments at your gates, |
| 17不可心中圖謀惡事，彼此相害，也不可喜歡發假誓，因為這一切都是我所憎惡的──上主的斷語。」 |
17and let none of you plot evil against another in his heart, nor love a false oath. For all these things I hate, says the LORD. |
| 18萬軍上主的話傳給我說： |
18This word of the LORD of hosts came to me: |
| 19「萬軍的上主這樣說：四月的齋戒、五月的齋戒、七月的齋戒和十月的齋戒，為猶大家將變為愉快和喜樂以及歡躍的佳節；但你們應愛好忠實與和平」。 |
19 Thus says the LORD of hosts: The fast days of the fourth, the fifth, the seventh, and the tenth months shall become occasions of joy and gladness, cheerful festivals for the house of Judah; only love faithfulness and peace. |
| 20萬軍的上主這樣說：「還有許多民族和各大城市的居民要前來； |
20Thus says the LORD of hosts: There shall yet come peoples, the inhabitants of many cities; |
| 21一城的居民到另一城去，向該城的居民說：我們快去懇求上主開恩，去尋求萬軍的上主！──我也同去。」 |
21and the inhabitants of one city shall approach those of another, and say, "Come! let us go to implore the favor of the LORD"; and, "I too will go to seek the LORD." |
| 22將有許多民族和強盛的國民，來到耶路撒冷尋求萬軍的上主，懇求上主開恩。 |
22Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem and to implore the favor of the LORD. |
| 23萬軍的上主這樣說：「在那些日子裏，十個說異國方言的人將抓住一個猶太人的衣邊說：我們要同你們一起去，因為我們聽說天主同你們在一起。」 |
23Thus says the LORD of hosts: In those days ten men of every nationality, speaking different tongues, shall take hold, yes, take hold of every Jew by the edge of his garment and say, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you." |
