| 1耶穌從那裏起身，來到猶太境界，約但河的對岸，群眾又聚集到他那裏，他又照常教訓他們。 |
1He set out from there and went into the district of Judea (and) across the Jordan. Again crowds gathered around him and, as was his custom, he again taught them. |
| 2有些法利塞人前來問耶穌：許不許丈夫休妻？意思是要試探他。 |
2 The Pharisees approached and asked, "Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?" They were testing him. |
| 3耶穌回答他們說：「梅瑟吩咐了你們什麼？」 |
3He said to them in reply, "What did Moses command you?" |
| 4他們說：「梅瑟准許了寫休書休妻。」 |
4They replied, "Moses permitted him to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her." |
| 5耶穌對他們說：「這是為了你們的心硬，他纔給你們寫下了這條法令。 |
5But Jesus told them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment. |
| 6但是，從創造之初，天主造了他們一男一女。 |
6But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female. |
| 7為此，人要離開他的父母，依附自己的妻子， |
7For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother (and be joined to his wife), |
| 8二人成為一體，以致他們再不是兩個，而是一體了。 |
8and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. |
| 9所以，天主所結合的，人不可拆散。」 |
9Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." |
| 10回到家裏，門徒又問他這事， |
10In the house the disciples again questioned him about this. |
| 11耶穌對他們說：「誰若休自己的妻子而另娶，就是犯姦淫，辜負妻子； |
11He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; |
| 12若妻子離棄自己的丈夫而另嫁，也是犯姦淫。」 |
12and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery." |
| 13有人給耶穌領來一些小孩子，要他撫摸他們；門徒卻斥責他們。 |
13And people were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. |
| 14耶穌見了，就生了氣，對他們說：「讓小孩子到我跟前來，不要阻止他們！因為天主的國正屬於這樣的人。 |
14When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. |
| 15我實在告訴你們：誰若不像小孩子一樣接受天主的國，決不能進去。」 |
15Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it." |
| 16耶穌遂抱起他們來，給他們覆手，祝福了他們。 |
16Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them. |
| 17正在耶穌出來行路時，跑來了一個人，跪在他面前，問他說：「善師，為承受永生，我該作什麼？」 |
17As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" |
| 18耶穌對他說：「你為什麼稱我善？除了天主一個外，沒有誰是善的。 |
18Jesus answered him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. |
| 19誡命你都知道：不可殺人，不可奸淫，不可偷盜，不可做假見證，不可欺詐，應孝敬你的父母。」 |
19You know the commandments: 'You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; you shall not defraud; honor your father and your mother.'" |
| 20他回答耶穌說：「師傅！這一切我從小就都遵守了。」 |
20He replied and said to him, "Teacher, all of these I have observed from my youth." |
| 21耶穌定睛看他，就喜愛他，對他說：「你還缺少一樣：你去，變賣你所有的一切，施捨給窮人，你必有寶藏在天上，然後來，【背着十字架，】跟隨我！」 |
21Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, "You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to (the) poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." |
| 22因了這話，那人就面帶愁容，憂鬱地走了，因為他有許多產業。 |
22At that statement his face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions. |
| 23耶穌周圍一看，對自己的門徒說：「那些有錢財的人，進天主的國是多麼難啊！」 |
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!" |
| 24門徒就都驚奇他這句話。耶穌又對他們說：「孩子們！仗恃錢財的人，進天主的國是多麼難啊！ |
24The disciples were amazed at his words. So Jesus again said to them in reply, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! |
| 25駱駝穿過針孔，比富有的人進天主的國還容易。」 |
25It is easier for a camel to pass through (the) eye of (a) needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." |
| 26他們就更加驚奇，彼此說：「這樣，誰還能得救？」 |
26They were exceedingly astonished and said among themselves, "Then who can be saved?" |
| 27耶穌注視他們說：「在人不可能，在天主卻不然，因為在天主，一切都是可能的。」 |
27Jesus looked at them and said, "For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God." |
| 28伯多祿開口對他說：「看，我們捨棄了一切，而跟隨了你。」 |
28Peter began to say to him, "We have given up everything and followed you." |
| 29耶穌回答說：「我實在告訴你們：人為了我，為了福音，而捨棄了房屋、或兄弟、或姊妹、或母親、或父親、或兒女、或田地， |
29Jesus said, "Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel |
| 30沒有不在今時就得百倍的房屋、兄弟、姊妹、母親、兒女、田地──連迫害也在內，並在來世獲得永生的。 |
30who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age: houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come. |
| 31但有許多在先的，要成為在後的；在後的，要成為在先的。」 |
31But many that are first will be last, and (the) last will be first." |
| 32那時，他們在路上，要上耶路撒冷去，耶穌在門徒前頭走，他們都驚奇，跟隨的人也都害怕。耶穌又把那十二人帶到一邊，開始告訴他們那將要臨到他身上的事： |
32They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went ahead of them. They were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, he began to tell them what was going to happen to him. |
| 33「看，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交於司祭長和經師；他們要定他的死罪，要把他交給外邦人； |
33"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles |
| 34這些人要戲弄他，唾污他，鞭打他，殺害他；但三天以後，他必要復活。」 |
34who will mock him, spit upon him, scourge him, and put him to death, but after three days he will rise." |
| 35載伯德的兒子雅各伯和若望走到耶穌跟前，對他說；「師傅！我們願你允許我們的要求！」 |
35Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you." |
| 36耶穌對他們說：「你們願意我給你們做什麼？」 |
36He replied, "What do you wish (me) to do for you?" |
| 37他們回答說：「賜我們在你的光榮中，一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。」 |
37They answered him, "Grant that in your glory we may sit one at your right and the other at your left." |
| 38耶穌對他們說：「你們不知道你們所求的是什麼；你們能飲我飲的爵嗎？或者，你們能受我受的洗嗎？」 |
38 Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?" |
| 39他們對他說：「我們能。」耶穌就對他們說：「我飲的爵，你們必要飲；我受的洗，你們必要受； |
39They said to him, "We can." Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink, you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; |
| 40但坐在我右邊或左邊，不是我可以給的，而是給誰預備了，就給誰。」 |
40but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared." |
| 41那十個聽了，就開始惱怒雅各伯和若望。 |
41When the ten heard this, they became indignant at James and John. |
| 42耶穌叫門徒過來，對他們說：「你們知道：在外邦人中，有尊為首領的，主宰他們，有大臣管轄他們； |
42 Jesus summoned them and said to them, "You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt. |
| 43但你們中間，卻不可這樣：誰若願意在你們中間成為大的，就當作你們的僕役； |
43But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; |
| 44誰若願意在你們中間為首，就當作眾人的奴僕， |
44whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. |
| 45因為人子，不是來受服事，而是來服事人，並交出自己的性命，為大眾作贖價。」 |
45For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many." |
| 46他們來到了耶里哥。耶穌和他的門徒及一大群人，從耶里哥出來的時候，有一個瞎眼的乞丐，即提買的兒子巴爾提買坐在路旁。 |
46 They came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a sizable crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging. |
| 47他一聽說是納匝肋人耶穌，就喊叫說：「耶穌，達味之子，可憐我罷！」 |
47On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, son of David, have pity on me." |
| 48有許多人就斥責他，叫他不要作聲；但他越發喊叫說：「達味之子，可憐我罷！」 |
48And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he kept calling out all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me." |
| 49耶穌就站住說：「叫他過來！」人就叫那瞎子，給他說：「放心！起來！他叫你呢！」 |
49Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." So they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage; get up, he is calling you." |
| 50瞎子就仍下自己的外衣，跳起來，走到耶穌跟前。 |
50He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus. |
| 51耶穌對他說：「你願意我給你做什麼？」瞎子說：「師傅！叫我看見！」 |
51Jesus said to him in reply, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man replied to him, "Master, I want to see." |
| 52耶穌對他說：「去罷！你的信德救了你。」瞎子立刻看見了，就在路上跟着耶穌去了。 |
52Jesus told him, "Go your way; your faith has saved you." Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way. |
