| 1耶穌從聖殿裏出來的時候，他的門徒中有一個對他說：「師傅！看，這是何等的石頭！何等的建築！」 |
1 As he was making his way out of the temple area one of his disciples said to him, "Look, teacher, what stones and what buildings!" |
| 2耶穌對他說：「你看見這些偉大的建築嗎？將來這裏決沒有一塊石頭留在另一塊石頭上，而不被拆毀的。」 |
2Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be one stone left upon another that will not be thrown down." |
| 3耶穌在橄欖山上，面對聖殿坐着的時候，伯多祿、雅各伯、若望和安德肋私下問他說： |
3 As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple area, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, |
| 4「請告訴我們：什麼時候發生這些事？這一切事要完成時，將有什麼先兆？」 |
4"Tell us, when will this happen, and what sign will there be when all these things are about to come to an end?" |
| 5耶穌就開始對他們說：「你們要謹慎，免得有人欺騙了你們。 |
5Jesus began to say to them, "See that no one deceives you. |
| 6將有許多人假冒我的名字來說：我就是（默西亞）；並且要欺騙許多人。 |
6Many will come in my name saying, 'I am he,' and they will deceive many. |
| 7當你們聽到戰爭和戰爭的風聲時，不要驚慌，因為這是必須發生的，但還不是結局。 |
7When you hear of wars and reports of wars do not be alarmed; such things must happen, but it will not yet be the end. |
| 8因為民族要起來攻擊民族，國家攻擊國家；到處要有地震，要有饑荒；但這只是苦痛的開始。」 |
8Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes from place to place and there will be famines. These are the beginnings of the labor pains. |
| 9「你們自己要謹慎！人要把你們解送到公議會，你們在會堂裏要受鞭打，並且也要為我的原故，站在總督和君王面前，對他們作證。 |
9"Watch out for yourselves. They will hand you over to the courts. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will be arraigned before governors and kings because of me, as a witness before them. |
| 10但福音必須先傳於萬國。 |
10But the gospel must first be preached to all nations. |
| 11人把你們拉去解送到法庭時，你們不要預先思慮該說什麼；在那時刻賜給你們什麼話，你們就說什麼，因為說話的不是你們，而是聖神。 |
11When they lead you away and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say. But say whatever will be given to you at that hour. For it will not be you who are speaking but the holy Spirit. |
| 12兄弟將把兄弟，父親將把兒子置於死地；兒女將起來反對父母，把他們處死。 |
12Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. |
| 13你們為了我的名字，將為眾人所惱恨；但那堅持到底的，必要得救。」 |
13You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. |
| 14「幾時你們看見那『招致荒涼的可憎之物』立在不應在的地方──讀者應明白；那時在猶太的，該逃往山中； |
14"When you see the desolating abomination standing where he should not (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains, |
| 15在屋頂上的，不要下來，也不要進去，從屋裏取什麼東西； |
15(and) a person on a housetop must not go down or enter to get anything out of his house, |
| 16在田地裏的，不要回來取自己的外衣。 |
16and a person in a field must not return to get his cloak. |
| 17在那些日子裏，懷孕的和哺乳的是有禍的！ |
17Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days. |
| 18但你們當祈禱，不要叫這事逢到冬天。」 |
18Pray that this does not happen in winter. |
| 19「因為在那些日子裏，必有災難，這是從天主創造開始，直到如今從未有過的，將來也不會再有。 |
19For those times will have tribulation such as has not been since the beginning of God's creation until now, nor ever will be. |
| 20若不是上主縮短了那些時日，凡有血肉的人都不會得救；但為了他所揀選的被選者，他縮短了那些時日。 |
20If the Lord had not shortened those days, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect whom he chose, he did shorten the days. |
| 21那時，若有人對你們說：看，默西亞在這裏！看，在那裏！你們不要相信！ |
21If anyone says to you then, 'Look, here is the Messiah! Look, there he is!' do not believe it. |
| 22因為將有假默西亞和假先知興起，行異跡和奇事，如果可能的話，他們連被選者都要欺騙。 |
22False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect. |
| 23所以，你們要謹慎！看，凡事我都預先告訴了你們！ |
23Be watchful! I have told it all to you beforehand. |
| 24但是，在那些日子裏，在那災難以後，太陽將要昏暗，月亮不再發光； |
24"But in those days after that tribulation the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, |
| 25星辰要從天上墜下，天上的萬象也要動搖。 |
25and the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. |
| 26那時，人要看見人子帶着大威能和光榮乘雲降來。 |
26 And then they will see 'the Son of Man coming in the clouds' with great power and glory, |
| 27那時，他要派遣天使，由四方，從地極到天邊，聚集他的被選者。」 |
27and then he will send out the angels and gather (his) elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the sky. |
| 28「你們應由無花果樹取個比喻：幾時它的枝條已經發嫩，生出葉子，你們就知道夏天近了。 |
28"Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. |
| 29同樣，你們幾時看見這些事發生了，就該知道：他已近在門口了。 |
29In the same way, when you see these things happening, know that he is near, at the gates. |
| 30我實在告訴你們：非到這一切發生了，這一世代決不會過去。 |
30Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. |
| 31天地要過去，但是我的話決不會過去。 |
31Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. |
| 32至於那日子和那時刻，除了父以外，誰也不知道，連天上的天使和子都不知道。」 |
32"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. |
| 33「你們要當心，要醒寤，因為你們不知道那日期什麼時候來到。 |
33Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come. |
| 34正如一個遠行的人，離開自己的家時，把權柄交給了自己的僕人，每人有每人的工作；又囑咐看門的須要醒寤。 |
34It is like a man traveling abroad. He leaves home and places his servants in charge, each with his work, and orders the gatekeeper to be on the watch. |
| 35所以，你們要醒寤，因為你們不知道，家主什麼時候回來：或許傍晚，或許夜半，或許雞叫，或許清晨； |
35Watch, therefore; you do not know when the lord of the house is coming, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning. |
| 36免得他忽然來到，遇見你們正在睡覺。 |
36May he not come suddenly and find you sleeping. |
| 37我對你們說的，我也對眾人說：你們要醒寤。」 |
37What I say to you, I say to all: 'Watch!'" |
