| 1兩天後就是逾越節和無酵節，司祭長和經師設法要怎樣用詭計捉拿耶穌，而把他殺害， |
1 The Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were to take place in two days' time. So the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to arrest him by treachery and put him to death. |
| 2因為他們說：「不要在慶節內，怕民間發生暴動。」 |
2They said, "Not during the festival, for fear that there may be a riot among the people." |
| 3當耶穌在伯達尼癩病人西滿家裏，正坐席的時候，來了一個女人，拿着一玉瓶珍貴的純「納爾多」香液。她打破玉瓶，就倒在耶穌頭上。 |
3 When he was in Bethany reclining at table in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of perfumed oil, costly genuine spikenard. She broke the alabaster jar and poured it on his head. |
| 4有些人頗不滿意，就彼此說：「為什麼要這樣浪費香液？ |
4There were some who were indignant. "Why has there been this waste of perfumed oil? |
| 5這香液原可以賣三百多塊銀錢，施捨給窮人！」他們對那女人很生氣。 |
5It could have been sold for more than three hundred days' wages and the money given to the poor." They were infuriated with her. |
| 6耶穌卻說：「由她罷！你們為什麼叫她難受？她在我身上作了一件善事， |
6Jesus said, "Let her alone. Why do you make trouble for her? She has done a good thing for me. |
| 7因為你們常有窮人同你們在一起，你們幾時願意，就能給他們行善；但是我，你們卻不常有。 |
7The poor you will always have with you, and whenever you wish you can do good to them, but you will not always have me. |
| 8她已做了她能做的：提前傅抹了我的身體，是為安葬之事。 |
8She has done what she could. She has anticipated anointing my body for burial. |
| 9我實在告訴你們：將來福音無論傳到全世界什麼地方，必要述說她所作的事，來記念她。」 |
9Amen, I say to you, wherever the gospel is proclaimed to the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her." |
| 10於是，那十二人中之一，猶達斯依斯加略，去見司祭長，要把耶穌交與他們。 |
10Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went off to the chief priests to hand him over to them. |
| 11他們聽了以後，不勝欣喜，許下給他銀錢；他就找尋良機，將耶穌交出。 |
11When they heard him they were pleased and promised to pay him money. Then he looked for an opportunity to hand him over. |
| 12無酵節的第一天，即宰殺逾越節羔羊的那一天，門徒對耶穌說：「你願意我們往那裏去，給你預備吃逾越節晚餐？」 |
12On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, "Where do you want us to go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?" |
| 13耶穌就打發兩個門徒，對他們說：「你們往城裏去，必有一個拿着水罐的人迎面而來，你們就跟着他去； |
13He sent two of his disciples and said to them, "Go into the city and a man will meet you, carrying a jar of water. Follow him. |
| 14他無論進入那裏，你們就對那家主說：師傅問：我同我的門徒吃逾越節晚餐的客廳在那裏？ |
14Wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is my guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"' |
| 15他必指給你們一間舖設好了的寬大樓廳，你們就在那裏為我們預備罷！」 |
15Then he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Make the preparations for us there." |
| 16門徒去了，來到城裏，所遇見的，正如耶穌給他們所說的；他們就預備了逾越節晚餐。 |
16The disciples then went off, entered the city, and found it just as he had told them; and they prepared the Passover. |
| 17到了晚上，耶穌同那十二人來了。 |
17When it was evening, he came with the Twelve. |
| 18他們坐席吃飯時，耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們：你們中有一個與我同食的要負賣我。」 |
18 And as they reclined at table and were eating, Jesus said, "Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me." |
| 19他們就都憂悶起來， 一個一個的問他說：「難道是我嗎？」 |
19They began to be distressed and to say to him, one by one, "Surely it is not I?" |
| 20耶穌對他們說：「是十二人中的一個，同我一起在盤子裏蘸的那一個。 |
20He said to them, "One of the Twelve, the one who dips with me into the dish. |
| 21人子固然要按照指着他所記載的而去，但是負賣人子的那人是有禍的！那人若沒有生，為他更好。」 |
21For the Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born." |
| 22他們正吃的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝福了，擘開，遞給他們說：「你們拿去吃罷！這是我的身體。」 |
22 While they were eating, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, and said, "Take it; this is my body." |
| 23又拿起杯來，祝謝了，遞給他們，他們都從杯中喝了。 |
23Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. |
| 24耶穌對他們說：「這是我的血，新約的血，為大眾流出來的。 |
24He said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many. |
| 25我實在告訴你們：我決不再喝這葡萄汁了，直到我在天主的國裏喝新酒的那天。」 |
25Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." |
| 26他們唱完聖詠，就出來，往橄欖山去了。 |
26Then, after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. |
| 27耶穌對他們說：「你們都要跌倒，因為有記載說：『我要打擊牧人，羊群就要四散。』 |
27 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will have your faith shaken, for it is written: 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be dispersed.' |
| 28但我復活後，要在你們以先，到加里肋亞去。」 |
28But after I have been raised up, I shall go before you to Galilee." |
| 29伯多祿對他說：「即便眾人都要跌倒，我卻不然。」 |
29Peter said to him, "Even though all should have their faith shaken, mine will not be." |
| 30耶穌就向他說：「我實在告訴你：就在今天，這一夜裏，雞叫兩遍以前，你要三次不認我。」 |
30Then Jesus said to him, "Amen, I say to you, this very night before the cock crows twice you will deny me three times." |
| 31伯多祿更加激烈地說：「即便我該同你一起死，我也決不會不認你。」眾人也都這樣說了。 |
31But he vehemently replied, "Even though I should have to die with you, I will not deny you." And they all spoke similarly. |
| 32他們來到一個名叫革責瑪尼的莊園裏；耶穌對門徒說：「你們坐在這裏，等我去祈禱。」 |
32 Then they came to a place named Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray." |
| 33遂帶着伯多祿、雅各伯和若望與他同去；他開始驚懼恐怖， |
33He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be troubled and distressed. |
| 34便對他們說：「我的心靈悲傷得要死；你們留在這裏，且要醒寤。」 |
34Then he said to them, "My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch." |
| 35耶穌往前走了不遠，俯伏在地祈求，如果可能，使這時辰離他而去， |
35He advanced a little and fell to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour might pass by him; |
| 36說：「阿爸！父啊！一切為你都可能：請給我免去這杯罷！但是，不要照我所願意的，而要照你所願意的。」 |
36he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Take this cup away from me, but not what I will but what you will." |
| 37耶穌回來，見他們睡着了，就對伯多祿說：「西滿！你睡覺嗎？你不能醒寤一個時辰嗎？ |
37When he returned he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? |
| 38你們醒寤祈禱罷！免陷於誘惑。心神固然切願，但肉體卻軟弱。」 |
38 Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." |
| 39耶穌又去祈禱，說了同樣的話。 |
39Withdrawing again, he prayed, saying the same thing. |
| 40他又回來，見他們仍是睡着，因為他們的眼睛沉重，也不知道要回答他什麼。 |
40Then he returned once more and found them asleep, for they could not keep their eyes open and did not know what to answer him. |
| 41他第三次回來，對他們說：「你們還睡下去嗎？還安息嗎？夠了！時辰到了，看，人子就要被交付在罪人手中了。 |
41He returned a third time and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? It is enough. The hour has come. Behold, the Son of Man is to be handed over to sinners. |
| 42起來！我們去罷！看，那負賣我的來近了。」 |
42Get up, let us go. See, my betrayer is at hand." |
| 43耶穌還說話的時候，那十二人中之一的猶達斯，遂即到了，同他一起的，還有帶着刀劍棍棒的群眾，是由司祭長、經師和長老那裏派來的。 |
43Then, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs who had come from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. |
| 44那出賣耶穌的人曾給他們一個暗號說：「我口親誰，誰就是；你們拿住他，小心帶去。」 |
44His betrayer had arranged a signal with them, saying, "The man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him and lead him away securely." |
| 45猶達斯一來，便立刻到耶穌跟前說：「辣彼！」遂口親了他。 |
45He came and immediately went over to him and said, "Rabbi." And he kissed him. |
| 46他們就向耶穌下手，拿住了他。 |
46At this they laid hands on him and arrested him. |
| 47站在旁邊的人中，有一個拔出劍來，砍了大司祭的僕人一劍，削下了他的一個耳朵。 |
47One of the bystanders drew his sword, struck the high priest's servant, and cut off his ear. |
| 48耶穌開口對他們說：「你們帶着刀劍棍棒出來拿我，如同對付強盜一樣； |
48Jesus said to them in reply, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to seize me? |
| 49我天天在你們當中，在聖殿裏施教，你們沒有拿我；但這是為應驗經上的話。」 |
49Day after day I was with you teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me; but that the scriptures may be fulfilled." |
| 50門徒都撇下他逃跑了。 |
50And they all left him and fled. |
| 51那時，有一個少年人，赤身披着一塊麻布，跟隨耶穌，人們抓住了他； |
51Now a young man followed him wearing nothing but a linen cloth about his body. They seized him, |
| 52但他撇下麻布，赤着身子逃走了。 |
52but he left the cloth behind and ran off naked. |
| 53他們把耶穌帶到大司祭那裏，所有的司祭長、長老和經師也都聚集在那裏。 |
53 They led Jesus away to the high priest, and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes came together. |
| 54伯多祿遠遠的跟着耶穌，直到大司祭的庭院裏面，同差役們坐在一起，烤火取暖。 |
54Peter followed him at a distance into the high priest's courtyard and was seated with the guards, warming himself at the fire. |
| 55司祭長和全體公議會，尋找證據反對耶穌，為把他處死，卻沒有找着。 |
55The chief priests and the entire Sanhedrin kept trying to obtain testimony against Jesus in order to put him to death, but they found none. |
| 56原來有許多人造假證據告他，但那些證據各不相符。 |
56Many gave false witness against him, but their testimony did not agree. |
| 57有幾個人站起來，作假見證告他說： |
57 Some took the stand and testified falsely against him, alleging, |
| 58「我們曾聽他說過：我要拆毀這座用手建造的聖殿，三天內要另建一座不用手建造的。」 |
58"We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands and within three days I will build another not made with hands.'" |
| 59連他們的這證據也不相符合。 |
59Even so their testimony did not agree. |
| 60於是，大司祭起來，站在中間，問耶穌說：「這些人作證反對你的事，你什麼也不回答嗎？」 |
60The high priest rose before the assembly and questioned Jesus, saying, "Have you no answer? What are these men testifying against you?" |
| 61耶穌卻不作聲，什麼也不回答。大司祭又問他說：「你是默西亞，那應受讚頌者的兒子嗎？」 |
61 But he was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him and said to him, "Are you the Messiah, the son of the Blessed One?" |
| 62耶穌說：「我是，並且你們要看見人子，坐在大能者的右邊，乘着天上的雲彩降來。」 |
62Then Jesus answered, "I am; and 'you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.'" |
| 63大司祭遂撕裂自己的衣服說：「何必還需要見證呢？ |
63At that the high priest tore his garments and said, "What further need have we of witnesses? |
| 64你們都聽見褻瀆的話了，你們看着該怎樣？」眾人都判定他該死。 |
64You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" They all condemned him as deserving to die. |
| 65有些人就開始向他吐唾沫，蒙起他的臉來，用拳頭打他，對他說：「你作先知罷！」差役且用巴掌打他。 |
65Some began to spit on him. They blindfolded him and struck him and said to him, "Prophesy!" And the guards greeted him with blows. |
| 66伯多祿在下邊庭院裏時，來了一個大司祭的使女， |
66While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the high priest's maids came along. |
| 67看見伯多祿烤火，就注視他說：「你也是和那個納匝肋人耶穌一起的。」 |
67Seeing Peter warming himself, she looked intently at him and said, "You too were with the Nazarene, Jesus." |
| 68伯多祿卻否認說：「我不知道，也不明白你說什麼。」他遂走出去，到了門廊，雞就叫了。 |
68 But he denied it saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are talking about." So he went out into the outer court. [Then the cock crowed.] |
| 69那使女看見他，就又給站在旁邊的人說：「這也是他們中間的人。」 |
69The maid saw him and began again to say to the bystanders, "This man is one of them." |
| 70伯多祿又否認了。過了一會兒，站在旁邊的人又再對伯多祿說：「你確是他們中間的，因為你也是個加里肋亞人。」 |
70Once again he denied it. A little later the bystanders said to Peter once more, "Surely you are one of them; for you too are a Galilean." |
| 71伯多祿就開始詛咒，並發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」 |
71He began to curse and to swear, "I do not know this man about whom you are talking." |
| 72立時雞叫了第二遍。伯多祿遂想起耶穌給他所說的話：「雞叫二遍以前，你要三次不認我。」就放聲大哭起來。 |
72And immediately a cock crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said to him, "Before the cock crows twice you will deny me three times." He broke down and wept. |
